Linea is an Ethereum Layer-2 network developed by ConsenSys. It is a zkEVM rollup: transactions are executed on Linea, bundled together, and then verified on Ethereum using zero-knowledge proofs. Because it is EVM-equivalent in design, developers can deploy Ethereum-style smart contracts and users can work with familiar wallets and tools.

Fees on Linea are paid in ETH, which keeps the user experience close to Ethereum but usually cheaper. The network also has a native token, LINEA, which is separate from gas. At the time of writing, the DeFi TVL we track on Linea is about $23.1M, which is modest next to the largest chains.

Our directory lists 130 dApps tied to Linea. It includes lending protocols such as Aave V3, Morpho Blue, Compound V3 and Euler V2, and DEXes such as Uniswap V3, Uniswap V4, PancakeSwap AMM V3 and SushiSwap V3. It also includes cross-chain bridges such as LayerZero V2, Stargate V2, Hyperlane and CCIP, and Renzo for liquid restaking. Many of these are multichain, so check each page for Linea support.

Frequently asked questions

What is Linea?

Linea is a Layer-2 network built on Ethereum. It was developed by ConsenSys and uses zero-knowledge rollup technology to process transactions off Ethereum mainnet and post proofs back to it. The aim is lower costs and more capacity while keeping Ethereum as the settlement layer.

Is Linea compatible with Ethereum apps and wallets?

Yes, Linea is described as a zkEVM, meaning it runs Ethereum-style smart contracts. Developers can generally deploy Solidity contracts and use familiar Ethereum wallets and tools. Small differences from mainnet can still exist, so check each app's documentation.

What token do I need to pay fees on Linea?

Network fees on Linea are paid in ETH, the same asset used on Ethereum. LINEA is the network's native token, but it is not the gas token. Fees are typically lower than on Ethereum mainnet, though they vary with network activity.

How do I move funds to Linea?

Usually you bridge assets such as ETH from Ethereum or another supported network to Linea. Bridge and messaging protocols such as LayerZero V2, Stargate V2, Hyperlane and CCIP appear in our directory, though not every one supports Linea. Confirm that a bridge supports Linea before sending funds.

What kinds of dApps are on Linea?

Our site lists 130 dApps connected to Linea, covering lending, exchanges, bridges, liquid restaking and yield vaults. Several well-known protocols such as Aave V3, Morpho Blue and Uniswap V3 run on many chains, so check which networks each one supports. Renzo is one liquid restaking protocol in the list that includes Linea among its networks.

Is it safe to use Linea?

No chain is risk-free. Using Linea means relying on its smart contracts, its proof system, and any bridge you use, and each of these can fail or be exploited. DeFi on a smaller network can also have thinner liquidity. Start with small amounts and read each protocol's documentation and audit information.

What is the largest dApp on Linea by TVL?

OKX is the largest dApp on Linea by total value locked, with $28.4B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by LayerZero V2 ($17.9B) and Aave V3 ($15.8B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Linea has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Aave V3 has the highest score at 8.6/10, ahead of Uniswap V4 (8.5) and Uniswap V3 (8.4). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Linea?

DappsAtlas tracks 136 dApps on Linea. Of these, 136 have a full review and 111 report value locked, $93.8B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Linea?

DEXes (30), Lending (15) and Cross Chain Bridge (11) are the largest categories on Linea, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Linea grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, Contango V2 had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+74.0%) and Bitvavo the biggest drop (−11.3%). Combined TVL moved +2.5% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Linea?

The 115 rated dApps on Linea average 6.2 out of 10. Of these, 10 score 8 or higher and 14 score below 5.
