Liquid restaking lets you stake an asset such as ETH or SOL and then reuse that stake to help secure other networks and services, while holding a receipt token you can still trade or deposit elsewhere. The category includes Ethereum protocols built around EigenLayer, Solana projects such as Jito Restaking and Solayer Restaking, and a handful of liquid staking tokens on chains like Algorand, TON and Sui that sit close to the same idea.
You deposit an asset, and the protocol delegates it to validators or operators and issues a token, such as rsETH from Kelp, pufETH from Puffer Stake or rswETH from Swell Liquid Restaking. The token reflects your claim and the rewards that build up. Protocols earn money mainly by taking a cut of staking and restaking rewards, and some also charge fees on deposits, withdrawals or vault management. Some add points, token incentives or enterprise products on top.
When comparing options, look at the track record and security history, including audits and past exploits, and at how much value the protocol holds. EigenCloud, Kelp and Coinbase Wrapped Staked ETH hold the largest balances on our list at the time of writing, while Renzo, Mellow Restaking and Mantle Restaking offer different mixes of chain support and vault design. Also check how slashing is handled, how liquid the receipt token is, how long withdrawals take, and what fees apply. High advertised yields deserve extra scrutiny, and rewards are never guaranteed.

Frequently asked questions
What is liquid restaking?
Liquid staking gives you a token for ETH or another asset you have staked, so you can keep using it in DeFi. Liquid restaking goes one step further: the staked asset, or a token that represents it, is also committed to secure additional networks or services, usually through EigenLayer on Ethereum or Jito and Solayer on Solana. In return you may earn extra rewards, but you also take on extra risk.
What are the main risks of liquid restaking?
The risks include smart contract bugs, extra slashing conditions from the services you secure, depegging of the receipt token, thin liquidity when you want to exit, and bridge or cross-chain problems. Kelp, for example, was hit by a bridge exploit in April 2026. Rewards and points programs can also change at short notice.
Is every protocol on this list a restaking protocol?
Not always. Some entries, such as Coinbase Wrapped Staked ETH, Crypto.com Liquid Staking, xALGO Liquid Staking and Aftermath afSUI, are mainly liquid staking tokens. They are grouped here because they sit close to restaking products and are used in similar ways in DeFi. Check each protocol's own documentation to see whether it actually restakes your assets.
Can I withdraw my funds at any time?
Most liquid restaking tokens are non-rebasing and rise in value against the underlying asset, or they are rebasing and grow in balance. Withdrawals can take days or longer because of unstaking queues. Many protocols also offer a faster route through a DEX swap or a lending-market pool, as Mantle Restaking does with Aave, but this may cost a small premium or carry slippage.
Does a higher TVL mean a protocol is safer?
No. TVL shows how much is deposited, which can signal adoption, but it says nothing about code quality, operator selection or how well risk is managed. Compare audits, the track record of the team, how slashing is handled, token liquidity and any incident history alongside TVL.
Are the yields guaranteed?
Rewards are not guaranteed, and headline APY figures such as the up to 25% shown for Stakee can change quickly or depend on incentives. Token prices can fall, and slashing or exploits can cause losses. Only commit funds you can afford to lose, and check the tax rules where you live.
What is the largest liquid restaking dApp by TVL?
EigenCloud is the largest liquid restaking dApp by total value locked, with $5.69B. It is followed by Kelp ($838M) and Coinbase Wrapped Staked ETH ($440M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.
Which liquid restaking dApp has the highest DappsAtlas score?
EigenCloud has the highest score at 7.5/10, ahead of Etherfi (7.4) and Mantle Restaking (7.3). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.
How many liquid restaking dApps does DappsAtlas track?
DappsAtlas tracks 70 liquid restaking dApps. Of these, 70 have a full review and 59 report value locked, $7.49B in total.
What chains do most liquid restaking dApps run on?
Which liquid restaking dApps grew the most this week?
Among liquid restaking dApps with at least $1M locked, Lair Finance had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+3.1%) and Stronghold Staked SOL the biggest drop (−39.8%). Combined TVL moved −2.6% over the same seven days.
What is the average score for liquid restaking dApps?
The 48 rated liquid restaking dApps average 6.1 out of 10. Of these, 0 score 8 or higher and 6 score below 5.
