Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain built to run Ethereum-style applications faster and more cheaply. It is EVM-compatible, so developers can bring over existing smart contracts and tooling. Its main design choices are parallel execution of transactions and a split between consensus and execution: validators agree on the order of transactions first, and execution runs asynchronously, slightly behind that agreement.

The native token is MON, which is used to pay network fees and is part of the chain's validator and staking setup. Fees are meant to stay low because the chain is built for high throughput, but exact costs depend on network conditions. At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on Monad is about $928 million.

The Monad ecosystem leans toward lending and yield. Aave V3, Morpho Blue, Euler V2 and the Monad-native Curvance cover borrowing and lending, while Uniswap V4 handles token swaps. A large share of the listings are vault and risk-curation platforms such as Veda, Upshift, Steakhouse Financial, RockawayX, Hyperithm, K3 Capital and Clearstar. Bridges including LayerZero V2, USDT0 and Unit connect the chain to others. Our directory lists 110 dApps on Monad.

Frequently asked questions

What is Monad?

Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine. It is designed for fast, low-cost transactions through parallel execution and by separating transaction ordering from execution. Developers can reuse Ethereum-style smart contracts and tools.

Is Monad EVM-compatible?

Yes. Monad is EVM-compatible, so contracts written for Ethereum can generally be deployed on it with little change. This is why many multichain protocols, such as Aave V3, Uniswap V4 and Euler V2, list Monad among their supported networks.

What is the MON token used for?

MON is Monad's native token. It is used to pay network transaction fees and is tied to the chain's validator and staking system. Check the official Monad documentation for current token details before you buy or use it.

How much value is locked in Monad DeFi?

At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on Monad is about $928 million. That figure changes daily, so treat it as a snapshot. Lending and vault-based products account for much of the activity among the dApps we list.

Which dApps are available on Monad?

Our directory lists 110 dApps on Monad. They include lending protocols like Aave V3, Morpho Blue, Euler V2 and Curvance, the DEX Uniswap V4, and vault and curator platforms such as Veda, Upshift and Steakhouse Financial. Bridges like LayerZero V2 and USDT0 also support the chain.

Are Monad dApps safe to use?

Not necessarily. Many dApps here are multichain, so listing Monad does not mean every feature is live on it. Smart contracts carry risks such as bugs, depegs and bridge failures, so check each dApp's own documentation, audits and supported networks, and never put in more than you can afford to lose.

What is the largest dApp on Monad by TVL?

LayerZero V2 is the largest dApp on Monad by total value locked, with $17.9B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Aave V3 ($15.8B) and Morpho Blue ($10.9B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Monad has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Aave V3 has the highest score at 8.6/10, ahead of Uniswap V4 (8.5) and Uniswap V3 (8.4). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Monad?

DappsAtlas tracks 118 dApps on Monad. Of these, 118 have a full review and 89 report value locked, $73.4B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Monad?

DEXes (25), Lending (11) and Risk Curators (9) are the largest categories on Monad, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Monad grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, Kuru CLOB had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+185%) and Theo Network thBill the biggest drop (−48.4%). Combined TVL moved +3.8% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Monad?

The 104 rated dApps on Monad average 6.5 out of 10. Of these, 9 score 8 or higher and 3 score below 5.
