Good

Our verdict on Team Finance

7.8/10

Team Finance suits token founders and finance teams that want locks, vesting, staking, airdrops and payroll in one non-custodial dashboard across many chains. Its main strengths are the breadth of tools and the multi-chain reach. The main caveats are that fees are not published in the material reviewed and that only two audits are listed. Treat a lock as one trust signal, not proof that a token is safe.

What is Team Finance?

Team Finance is a token management platform that combines liquidity locks, team token and NFT locks, vesting, token creation, staking pools, airdrops, payroll and batch sending. DefiLlama classes it as a Token Locker and has tracked it since June 2022.

DefiLlama shows about $61 million in TVL across a long list of chains, with the SWAP token and two listed audits. The homepage shows a higher total value locked figure, along with 40,000+ customers and 30+ supported blockchains, all as self-reported numbers that may be calculated differently.

The product is aimed at token founders, finance teams and investors who want proof that liquidity and team allocations are committed. Recent additions include MintPlus, Payroll, and support for newer networks such as Robinhood Chain, Monad, Arc and Stellar.

How Team Finance works

Team Finance provides smart contracts that hold tokens under rules set by the project. In a lock, the owner deposits tokens or LP tokens and picks an unlock date. Until then the contract does not release them, and the site says Team Finance cannot access what is inside.

Vesting works in a similar way but releases tokens gradually on a schedule, so investors and employees receive their allocations over time. Staking pools, airdrops, payroll and the multisender use the same dashboard to distribute or reward tokens.

For launches, MintPlus links token creation, Uniswap V3 liquidity setup and a liquidity lock in one flow. Projects that want their own branding can use the white-label option to embed claim or airdrop portals on their website.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Wide toolkit in one place: locks, vesting, token creation, staking, airdrops, payroll and multisender.
  • Non-custodial design: the site says Team Finance cannot access tokens held in lock contracts.
  • Supports regular and Uniswap V3 LP token locks.
  • Broad multi-chain coverage, including newer networks like Monad, Robinhood Chain and Stellar.
  • Free testnet option to try the tools before committing real funds.
  • Two audits are listed on DefiLlama, and the site has been tracked since 2022.

Watch out for

  • Pricing and fee amounts are not stated in the material reviewed, so costs cannot be compared up front.
  • Only two audits are listed on DefiLlama, and the audit details are not given here.
  • Locks and vesting only reduce certain rug-pull risks; they do not vouch for a project's quality or the token itself.
  • Chain support varies by tool: Multisender lists 16 chains and token creation 15+, so not every feature is available everywhere.
  • Several services are marked new (MintPlus, Payroll) and have a shorter track record than the core lock product.
  • Customer count, total value locked and the amount secured are self-reported marketing figures, and they differ across sources.

Team Finance fees

Fee amounts are not published in the material reviewed. The homepage points to a Pricing page and says users can get started on testnet for free, and token minting and the tokenomics tool are described as free to start.

Expect network gas fees on every chain, plus whatever Team Finance charges per lock, vesting schedule or other service. Check the Pricing page in the app and the on-chain cost shown in your wallet before you confirm a transaction.

Is Team Finance safe?

Team Finance describes its lock contracts as non-custodial and decentralized, and DefiLlama lists two audits. The audit reports themselves are not included in the material reviewed, so check the Security page and the audit documents for scope and dates before locking significant value.

Smart-contract risk, wallet-approval risk and user error all remain. A lock is only as safe as the contract holding it, and a token being locked says nothing about whether the project behind it is sound. Regulatory status of the company is not stated in the material reviewed.

6 steps

How to get started with Team Finance

  1. 1

Decide what you need: a liquidity lock, team token lock, vesting schedule, token launch, staking pool or airdrop.

  2. 2

Open the Team Finance app and choose the blockchain your token is on.

  3. 3

Connect your wallet. Use a testnet first if you want to practice, since the site offers a free testnet option.

  4. 4

Select the service and your token, then set the amount, recipients and lock or vesting dates.

  5. 5

Review the pricing and network gas fee, then confirm the transaction in your wallet.

  6. 6

Share the lock or vesting link with your community so holders can verify it on-chain.

Who Team Finance is for

Team Finance is for token founders, project finance teams and community managers who need to lock liquidity, vest allocations or distribute tokens in a transparent way. Investors can also use it to check lock and vesting details. It is not a trading product, so traders only meet it when verifying a token's locks.

Team Finance FAQs

What is Team Finance?

Team Finance is a platform for token projects. It lets teams mint tokens, lock liquidity and team tokens, create vesting schedules, set up staking pools, run airdrops and batch-send tokens from one dashboard.

Is Team Finance non-custodial?

The site describes its lock contracts as non-custodial and decentralized, saying Team Finance has no ability to access the tokens inside them. Funds sit in a smart contract until the lock expires. As with any smart contract, there is still technical risk, so check the audit information before relying on one.

Which blockchains does Team Finance support?

DefiLlama lists Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Robinhood Chain, Avalanche, Polygon, Flare, PulseChain, Cronos, Arbitrum, Arc, Fantom, Kava, Unichain, Kaia, Blast, Mantle, LUKSO, Berachain, X Layer and Monad, among others. The homepage also mentions Solana, Stellar, Tezos, Algorand, zkSync Era and more. Availability can differ by tool.

What does a liquidity lock do?

A liquidity lock puts LP tokens into a time-released contract so the project team cannot withdraw the liquidity until the lock ends. This is meant to reassure traders that the pool will not be pulled suddenly. Team Finance says it supports regular and Uniswap V3 LP tokens.

Does Team Finance cost money to use?

The homepage mentions a free testnet option for getting started, and offers free token minting and a free tokenomics tool. Mainnet fees are not published in the material reviewed, so check the pricing page in the app before creating anything.

Does Team Finance have a token?

Team Finance has a token, SWAP, listed on DefiLlama. The material reviewed does not explain its utility, so check the official docs for what it does on the platform.

Does a lock mean a token is safe to buy?

A lock shows that tokens or liquidity are committed for a set period, which can reduce some risks. It does not guarantee a project is legitimate or that the token will hold value, so still research the team, the contract and the tokenomics.
