PulseChain is a Layer 1 blockchain created as a fork of Ethereum. It keeps Ethereum's EVM design, so contracts and wallets built for Ethereum generally work on it, and tokens follow the PRC20 standard. Its pitch is faster transactions and lower fees than Ethereum mainnet. The details of how decentralized the network is remain a topic of debate among users, so it is worth reading up on that before committing significant funds.

The native token is PLS, which is used to pay network fees. We don't have a PLS price or a chain-wide DeFi TVL figure to quote here, so check a live source for current numbers. Fees are generally low compared with Ethereum mainnet, which suits frequent swapping and farming.

The ecosystem centers on trading and stablecoin borrowing. PulseX V2 and PulseX StableSwap are the main exchange venues, alongside PHUX, 9inch and 9mm. Lending and CDP protocols include LiquidLoans, POWERCITY Earn Protocol, Powercity Flex Protocol, Incprinter and Phiat Protocol, many built on forks of Aave and Liquity. Multi-chain tools like Team Finance, vfat.io and DxSale also appear in the list. Many projects are small, and BetterBank's August 2025 exploit is a reminder to check audits and liquidity first.

Pulse FAQs

What is PulseChain?

PulseChain is a Layer 1 blockchain that was forked from Ethereum. It aims to offer faster transactions and lower fees than Ethereum mainnet while staying compatible with Ethereum tooling. The chain is listed here under the slug 'pulse'.

Is PulseChain EVM-compatible?

Yes, PulseChain is built from an Ethereum fork, so it is EVM-compatible. Wallets, smart contract code and developer tools that work with Ethereum generally carry over. Tokens on the network follow the PRC20 standard, which mirrors Ethereum's ERC20.

Which dApps on PulseChain have the most value locked?

The largest by tracked TVL is PulseX V2, a DEX for PRC20 tokens, at about $13.5M at the time of writing. LiquidLoans, POWERCITY Earn Protocol, PHUX, Phiat Protocol and PulseX StableSwap follow, covering lending, CDPs and additional DEX products. Several larger multi-chain tools such as Team Finance and vfat.io are also listed, but their TVL is spread over many chains.

What kinds of dApps are on PulseChain?

The page lists 24 dApps. They are mostly DEXes, CDP stablecoin protocols and lending markets, with a few multi-chain token tools, launchpads and yield aggregators. Many are forks of established designs such as Balancer V2, Aave v2 and Liquity V1.

Are PulseChain dApps safe to use?

Several are small, with TVL under $1M, and some have no listed audits. BetterBank was exploited for about $5M in August 2025 and now shows $0 in tracked TVL. Smart contract bugs, thin liquidity and token price swings are real risks, so check audits and liquidity before depositing, and never put in more than you can afford to lose.

Can I borrow stablecoins on PulseChain?

Several CDP protocols here, such as LiquidLoans, POWERCITY Earn Protocol, Powercity Flex Protocol and Incprinter, let you lock collateral and mint a stablecoin. Terms differ: some charge no interest but require a minimum collateral ratio of 110%, and falling below it can lead to liquidation. Read each protocol's rules before borrowing.

Do any of these dApps also run on other chains?

Some, like Team Finance, vfat.io, DxSale, 9mm V3, 9inch V2, Velocimeter V2 and LiquidLoans, are deployed on several networks, including Ethereum or Base. Others, like PulseX V2 and PHUX, run only on PulseChain. Each dApp's page lists the chains it supports.

What is the largest dApp on Pulse by TVL?

Team Finance is the largest dApp on Pulse by total value locked, with $56.6M across all the chains it supports. It is followed by vfat.io ($31.4M) and DxSale ($17.7M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Pulse has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Team Finance has the highest score at 7.8/10, ahead of vfat.io (7.8) and DxSale (6.8). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.
