DOGE

Doge is the Dogecoin network, one of the older proof-of-work blockchains. It is built on Bitcoin-style technology, uses the Scrypt mining algorithm and can be merge-mined alongside Litecoin. It works as a payments network with a UTXO ledger and is not EVM-compatible. It has no native smart contract layer, so scaling comes mainly from fast, cheap transfers and not from rollups or an app platform.

The native token is DOGE, which pays network fees as well as being sent between people. Fees are typically low, though they vary with the wallet or service you use. Because the chain does not run on-chain DeFi in the usual sense, its DeFi TVL is small, about $1.6M at the time of writing.

The 25 listings on this page are therefore mostly services that support DOGE from the outside. Exchanges lead the list, including OKX, Gate and HTX. Bridges and swap tools such as Coinbase Bridge, Rosen Bridge, THORChain DEX and Bridgers let you move value across networks, and Coolwallet offers hardware self-custody. Their TVL figures usually cover many chains, not Dogecoin alone.

Doge FAQs

What is the Doge chain?

Doge here means the Dogecoin network, a proof-of-work blockchain whose native coin is DOGE. It uses a Bitcoin-style UTXO model and is mainly used for payments and transfers, not for running smart contracts.

Is Dogecoin EVM compatible, and does it run smart contracts?

No. Dogecoin is not EVM-compatible and does not have a native smart contract layer like Ethereum. Apps that involve DOGE usually work by supporting the coin from outside, through exchanges, wallets, wrapped tokens or cross-chain swaps.

What token do you use to pay fees on Doge?

Network fees are paid in DOGE. They are generally small compared with many other chains, though the exact amount depends on the transaction and on wallet or exchange settings. Exchanges and bridges may add their own withdrawal or service fees on top.

Which dApps and services can I find on Doge?

The 25 listings on this page are mostly centralized exchanges, bridges and wallets that support DOGE. Examples include OKX, Gate and HTX for trading, Coinbase Bridge and Rosen Bridge for wrapped or bridged assets, THORChain DEX and Bridgers for cross-chain swaps, and Coolwallet for hardware storage.

Is the TVL shown for these apps all on Dogecoin?

Not exactly. The DeFi TVL for the Doge chain was about $1.6M at the time of writing, which is small. Many listed services show far larger TVL because they hold assets across several chains, so their figures are not funds locked on Dogecoin alone.

How can I move DOGE to another chain?

Common routes are a centralized exchange that lists DOGE, a cross-chain swap tool such as THORChain DEX or Bridgers, or a wrapped version of DOGE like those from Coinbase Bridge. Each option carries different custody, fee and KYC terms, so read them before sending funds.

What should I check before using an exchange or wallet for DOGE?

Centralized exchanges hold your assets for you and often require identity verification, depending on the platform and your country. A self-custody wallet such as Coolwallet leaves you in control of your keys but also responsible for backing them up. Check the rules where you live before using any exchange.

What is the largest dApp on Doge by TVL?

Binance CEX is the largest dApp on Doge by total value locked, with $127B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by OKX ($28.4B) and Coinbase Bridge ($7.60B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Doge has the highest DappsAtlas score?

OKX has the highest score at 8.0/10, ahead of Gate (7.7) and THORChain DEX (7.7). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Doge?

DappsAtlas tracks 27 dApps on Doge. Of these, 27 have a full review and 23 report value locked, $183B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Doge?

Centralized Exchanges (14), Cross Chain Bridge (3) and Bridge (3) are the largest categories on Doge, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Doge grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, NonKYC had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+6.4%) and Zoomex the biggest drop (−21.7%). Combined TVL moved −4.9% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Doge?
