Bridge aggregators are apps that help you move tokens from one blockchain to another without picking a bridge yourself. Instead of checking several bridges and exchanges by hand, you enter the source chain, destination chain and token, and the app searches the available routes. Some also swap tokens along the way, so you can start with one asset on one chain and finish with another on a different chain.

Under the hood, an aggregator connects to many bridges and DEXs through their contracts or APIs, compares quotes, and sends your funds through the route it ranks best. Revenue usually comes from a small fee built into the quote or from sharing in the fees of the protocols it routes through. Some products are interfaces on top of shared infrastructure: Bungee is powered by Socket, Jumper Exchange is built on LI.FI, and Squid Router runs on Axelar.

When comparing options, look at which chains and tokens are supported, the total amount you receive after all fees, how long transfers take, and how clearly the app shows the route and risks. Jumper Exchange, Bungee and Squid Router lead our list by score, while Gas.zip covers the narrower job of refueling gas on new chains and Brotocol focuses on Bitcoin layer-2s. Bridging always carries smart-contract risk, so start with a small test transfer. Bridge aggregators are not gambling products, but if you plan to use bridged funds on crypto casinos, you must be 18+ (21+ in some places) and should check that online gambling is legal where you live.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between a bridge and a bridge aggregator?

A bridge moves tokens between two blockchains using one specific mechanism, such as a lock-and-mint contract or a liquidity pool. A bridge aggregator compares several bridges and exchanges, then picks a route for you. Some also bundle a swap into the same transaction, so you can end up with a different token on the destination chain.

How do bridge aggregators make money?

Most aggregators do not charge a separate fee on top of the routes they find. They typically earn through a small fee built into the quoted rate, or through revenue-sharing with the bridges and DEXs they route through. You still pay network gas on both chains and any fees the underlying bridge charges. The quote screen should show the total cost before you confirm.

Are bridge aggregators safe to use?

No bridge is risk-free. An aggregator adds its own smart contracts on top of the bridges it uses, so you are exposed to both layers. Bridges have been a frequent target of exploits in crypto. Use only a small test transfer first, check the official site address carefully, and avoid moving more than you can afford to lose.

Which tool is best for getting gas on a new chain?

Gas.zip is built for this. It sends a small amount of native gas token to a destination chain so you can pay for your first transactions there. It lists support for over 350 chains. Other aggregators such as Jumper Exchange and Bungee can also swap into a chain's native token as part of a route.

How many chains do these aggregators support?

Chain coverage varies a lot. Squid Router describes routing across 100+ chains, Bridgers lists 50+ chains and 600+ assets, and XY Finance covers 17+ EVM chains. Brotocol focuses on Bitcoin layer-2s. Check that your exact source chain, destination chain and token are supported before you start, since listings change.

How do I compare quotes before bridging?

Compare the quoted amount you will receive after fees, the estimated time, and the route the tool chose. Open a second aggregator and check the same transfer. Small differences are normal, but a large gap in what you receive is a reason to pause and look at why.

What is the largest bridge aggregator by TVL?

Butter Network is the largest bridge aggregator by total value locked, with $1.19M. It is followed by Bridgers ($72.2K) and XY Finance ($52). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which bridge aggregator has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Bungee has the highest score at 7.4/10, ahead of Jumper Exchange (7.4) and Squid Router (7.3). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many bridge aggregators does DappsAtlas track?

DappsAtlas tracks 20 bridge aggregators. Of these, 20 have a full review and 3 report value locked, $1.26M in total.

What chains do most bridge aggregators run on?

Ethereum is the most common, with 12 of 20 bridge aggregators, followed by Polygon (8) and Arbitrum (6). 92% are deployed on more than one chain.

Which bridge aggregators grew the most this week?

Among bridge aggregators with at least $1M locked, . Combined TVL moved −28.0% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for bridge aggregators?

The 12 rated bridge aggregators average 6.0 out of 10. Of these, 0 score 8 or higher and 1 score below 5.
