ActiveWan Bridge Review 2026: Wide Chain Support, Small TVL
Wan Bridge is the cross-chain bridge from the Wanchain project, linking more than 30 networks including Bitcoin, XRPL, Ethereum and Solana. Its range is the draw; small TVL and self-reported security claims are the caveats.

Good
Our verdict on Wan Bridge
7.0/10Wan Bridge suits users who need to move assets between less common networks, such as Bitcoin, Cardano, XRPL or Litecoin and major EVM chains, and who want a bridge from a long-running project. Its main strength is the breadth of supported chains. The main caveats are modest TVL, unpublished fee amounts, and security claims that come from the project itself. Test with a small transfer first and check the quote before confirming.

What is Wan Bridge?
Wan Bridge is the cross-chain bridge from Wanchain, a project that describes itself as a decentralised blockchain interoperability solution. DefiLlama lists it in the Bridge category, tracking around 6 million USD in total value locked and support for a long list of chains.
That list is unusually broad. It includes non-EVM networks such as Bitcoin, Cardano, Solana, XRPL, Litecoin and Doge alongside EVM chains like Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and Polygon. Wanchain also announced Tron support and XFlows, a combined bridge and swap feature.
Its homepage available for this review is thin, so this page relies on DefiLlama data, Wanchain's posts and public reporting. Treat the project's security claims as self-reported.
How Wan Bridge works
A bridge lets you move value between blockchains that cannot talk to each other directly. On a typical route you lock or burn an asset on the source chain, and an equivalent asset is released or minted on the destination chain.
Wanchain describes its approach as fully decentralised bridges that connect separate networks, including public and private chains. Its documentation has covered a two-way bridge and a direct bridge design. Verification of transfers is handled by Wanchain's own network rather than a single company, according to the project's description.
Users interact through WanBridge Web, a browser-based interface. Wanchain has also promoted XFlows, which combines bridging and swapping so users do not need to use a separate bridge and DEX for a transfer, and said it was live for Tron.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Supports a wide range of chains, including non-EVM networks such as Bitcoin, Cardano, Solana and XRPL.
- Browser-based interface, WanBridge Web, aims to make crosschain transfers simple.
- Wanchain says 10% of bridge fees go to xWAN stakers, which gives the fee model a stated purpose.
- DefiLlama lists two audits for the bridge.
- Wanchain claims 8+ years of operation with zero exploits, which would be a long record if accurate.
- XFlows adds bridging and swapping in one flow, reducing the steps for some transfers.
Watch out for
- Its homepage available for this review is minimal, so features and supported tokens could not be verified from the site itself.
- Total value locked is about 6 million USD, small for a bridge covering so many chains, and fell 9.1% over the past seven days.
- Specific fee amounts are not published publicly, so costs cannot be compared before use.
- Security claims such as uptime and zero exploits come from the project's own social posts, not an independent source.
- Every bridge adds smart-contract and validator-set risk, and supporting many chains widens that surface.
- No token of its own is listed in DefiLlama data for the bridge, so how the WAN token and xWAN staking tie in needs checking separately.
Wan Bridge fees
Wanchain states that every crosschain transfer pays a bridge fee and that 10% of all bridge fees go to xWAN stakers. The project does not give the fee amount or percentage for any route.
Users will also pay network gas on the source chain, and possibly on the destination chain. The quote shown in the bridge interface before confirming a transfer is where to see the actual cost.
Is Wan Bridge safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits for the bridge, but the project does not name the auditors or give the dates. Wanchain says in a post that it has had 8+ years, 100% uptime and zero exploits. This is a self-reported claim, so check it independently before relying on it.
Bridges hold pooled assets and rely on validators and smart contracts, so they are a common target for attacks. Supporting more than 30 chains increases the number of integrations that must be secured. TVL fell 9.1% over seven days, which may simply reflect market movement. Start with small amounts and use only the official site.
6 steps
How to get started with Wan Bridge
- 1
Open the official Wan Bridge site and check the address carefully before connecting a wallet.
- 2
Install or open a wallet that supports the chain you are sending from.
- 3
Pick the source chain, destination chain and the token to move.
- 4
Review the quoted bridge fee, gas cost and estimated arrival time.
- 5
Try a small test transfer first, then confirm in your wallet.
- 6
Wait for the transfer to complete and confirm the funds on the destination chain before moving larger amounts.
Who Wan Bridge is for
Wan Bridge is for people who need to move tokens across many different networks, including non-EVM chains, and who are comfortable with the risks of bridging. It is less suited to anyone who needs fully verified fee data or the largest possible liquidity pool.
Wan Bridge FAQs
What is Wan Bridge?
Wan Bridge is a cross-chain bridge built by the Wanchain project. It lets users move assets between blockchains such as Ethereum, BNB Chain, Bitcoin, Cardano, Solana and XRPL through a browser-based interface.
Which blockchains does Wan Bridge support?
DefiLlama lists around 36 chains, including XRPL, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Bitcoin, Cardano, Arbitrum, Solana, Optimism, Avalanche, Polygon, Base, Tron and Wanchain itself. Support for individual tokens varies by route, so check the app before sending.
Does Wan Bridge charge fees?
A Wanchain post says every crosschain transfer pays a bridge fee, and 10% of all bridge fees go to xWAN stakers. The exact fee per route is not public, so users should read the quote in the app before confirming.
Is Wan Bridge safe?
Wanchain's own posts claim 8+ years of operation, 100% uptime and zero exploits. These are self-reported and we have not verified them independently. DefiLlama lists two audits for the bridge. No bridge is risk-free, so only move amounts you can afford to lose.
Does Wan Bridge have a token?
DefiLlama shows no token tied to the bridge listing. Wanchain has its own WAN coin and an xWAN staking system, but public information here do not say more about how it works, so check Wanchain's official documentation.
How long has Wan Bridge been running?
The bridge was listed on DefiLlama from September 2022, but the Wanchain project describes more than eight years of operation in its own posts. The project does not give a launch date for the current web app beyond a post announcing a new WanBridge Web.
