Wanchain is a Layer 1 blockchain that began in 2017 with the goal of connecting separate blockchains and moving value between them. It moved from a permissioned proof-of-work design to a proof-of-stake system called Galaxy Proof-of-Stake. It is EVM-compatible, so developers and users can work with familiar Ethereum-style tools.
