SKALE is a network of EVM-compatible chains that work alongside Ethereum. Instead of one shared ledger, it gives projects their own SKALE chains, each secured by a rotating group of validators using a Byzantine-fault-tolerant consensus design. Because the chains run the Ethereum Virtual Machine, developers can reuse Solidity code and familiar wallets and tools.

The SKL token is mainly tied to staking and validator operations rather than everyday payments. Users typically do not pay normal gas fees on SKALE chains. Developers usually hold sFUEL, a gas token not meant for trading, and cover the cost for their users. This suits apps that make many small transactions, though each project's setup differs. Our data shows no TVL figure or token price for the chain as a whole.

The SKALE ecosystem on our site is small, with 7 listed dApps, and leans toward infrastructure. Exorde pays contributors to collect and validate social media data, and Razor Network provides oracle data to smart contracts across several chains. CapitalDEX is a small exchange for tokenized securities and real-world assets, and Drakons is an NFT strategy game built around collectible dragons. Jetbolt is a presale-stage token, which carries high risk, so treat it with extra caution.

Skale FAQs

What is SKALE?

SKALE is a network of EVM-compatible chains that connect to Ethereum. Each SKALE chain is run by a group of validators, and developers can deploy Solidity smart contracts on it much as they would on Ethereum. It is aimed at apps that need many cheap transactions, such as games and data services.

Are transactions on SKALE really free?

Generally, no. SKALE chains are designed so end users do not pay normal gas fees. Developers usually cover the cost through sFUEL, a gas token that is not meant to be traded. Chain operators still have their own costs, so check each app's setup.

Is SKALE compatible with Ethereum?

Yes. SKALE chains run the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so Solidity contracts and common Ethereum wallets and tooling generally work with them. Some apps on this page also run on Ethereum, Polygon or Base alongside SKALE.

What is the SKL token used for?

SKL is the network's token, used mainly for validator staking and delegation rather than for everyday user fees. It does not replace gas for ordinary transactions. Check current details on the project's official channels before acting on them.

What kinds of dApps run on SKALE?

Our site lists 7 dApps on SKALE, including Exorde, Razor Network, CapitalDEX, Jetbolt and Drakons. They cover data infrastructure, oracles, a small exchange, a presale token and an NFT strategy game. Each listing has a short description and a review score where available.

Are dApps on SKALE safe to use?

Not automatically. Presale tokens like Jetbolt's JBOLT are high risk, and small exchanges such as CapitalDEX have very little liquidity, with about $1,136 in TVL at the time of writing. Read each project's documentation, understand how its contracts work and never put in money you cannot afford to lose.

What is the largest dApp on Skale by TVL?

CapitalDEX is the largest dApp on Skale by total value locked, with $1.05K across all the chains it supports. TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Skale has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Exorde has the highest score at 5.8/10, ahead of CapitalDEX (4.5) and Razor Network (4.5). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Skale?

DappsAtlas tracks 10 dApps on Skale. Of these, 10 have a full review and 1 report value locked, $1.05K in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Skale?

GameFi (3), Infrastructure (2) and DEXes (1) are the largest categories on Skale, by number of projects.

What is the average score for dApps on Skale?

The 4 rated dApps on Skale average 4.8 out of 10. Of these, 0 score 8 or higher and 3 score below 5.
