Polygon zkEVM is a layer-2 rollup that settles on Ethereum. It groups many transactions together, produces a zero-knowledge proof that they were processed correctly, and posts that proof and the transaction data to Ethereum. This lets the network scale while relying on Ethereum for security. It aims to be EVM-equivalent, so contracts written for Ethereum can generally run here with little or no rewriting.

There is no separate native token for paying fees on this chain. Gas is paid in bridged ETH, and costs are typically lower than on Ethereum mainnet, though they move with demand. At the time of writing, our data shows DeFi TVL of $0 for the chain, and Polygon Labs has said it is winding the network down, so check official channels for its current status before moving any funds.

The dApps on this page are mostly DEXes, lending protocols and bridges. Quickswap V3, a concentrated-liquidity DEX, lists Polygon zkEVM among its chains. So do Gravita Protocol, a CDP-style borrowing protocol that mints the GRAI token, and Secured Finance Lending, a fixed-rate lending platform. The page also covers multichain names such as LayerZero V2, PancakeSwap AMM V3, Dolomite and SushiSwap. Their TVL figures cover every chain they run on, not just this one.

Frequently asked questions

What is Polygon zkEVM?

Polygon zkEVM is a layer-2 network on Ethereum that uses zero-knowledge proofs to batch transactions and settle them on Ethereum. It is built to run Ethereum-style smart contracts, so Solidity apps and common wallets work with few changes.

What token do you use to pay fees on Polygon zkEVM?

Gas is paid in ETH, not in a separate native token, which is why our data lists no native token for this chain. Fees are usually lower than on Ethereum mainnet, but they vary with network use and with Ethereum's data costs.

Is Polygon zkEVM still active?

Our data shows DeFi TVL of $0 for the chain at the time of writing. Polygon Labs has said it is winding down this network, so check its official announcements for the current status before bridging funds. The TVL figures shown for individual dApps cover all the chains they run on, not only this one.

Which dApps are listed on Polygon zkEVM?

Among the dApps we list, Quickswap V3, Gravita Protocol and Secured Finance Lending name Polygon zkEVM as a supported chain. Many other listed protocols are multichain and may support it only through bridges or older deployments, so check each project's own site.

How do I move funds on or off Polygon zkEVM safely?

Move assets only through bridges the project documents, and move funds out of Polygon zkEVM if you hold any there. Bridging carries smart-contract and timing risks, so test with a small amount first. Our scores are a starting point and not a safety guarantee.

Is Polygon zkEVM the same as Polygon PoS?

Not exactly. Polygon zkEVM is a separate zk-rollup that settles on Ethereum, while the Polygon proof-of-stake chain is a different network with its own validators. Apps like Quickswap V3 and SushiSwap run on both, but balances, bridges and fees are separate.

What is the largest dApp on Polygon zkEVM by TVL?

LayerZero V2 is the largest dApp on Polygon zkEVM by total value locked, with $17.9B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Gate ($5.91B) and PancakeSwap AMM V3 ($684M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Polygon zkEVM has the highest DappsAtlas score?

LayerZero V2 has the highest score at 8.0/10, ahead of PancakeSwap AMM V3 (7.8) and Dolomite (7.8). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Polygon zkEVM?

DappsAtlas tracks 43 dApps on Polygon zkEVM. Of these, 43 have a full review and 40 report value locked, $24.9B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Polygon zkEVM?

DEXes (14), Liquidity Manager (5) and Bridge (3) are the largest categories on Polygon zkEVM, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Polygon zkEVM grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, LayerZero V2 had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+10.6%) and Dolomite the biggest drop (−15.1%). Combined TVL moved +6.5% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Polygon zkEVM?

The 36 rated dApps on Polygon zkEVM average 6.3 out of 10. Of these, 1 score 8 or higher and 3 score below 5.
