ActiveDolomite Review 2026: Money Market With 1,000+ Assets
Dolomite is a DeFi money market that lets users lend, borrow and run leveraged strategies across a very wide range of assets. It holds about $185 million in TVL and lists six audits, but leveraged features carry real liquidation risk.

Good
Our verdict on Dolomite
7.8/10Dolomite suits experienced DeFi users who want to lend or borrow a wide range of tokens, including smaller assets, and who are comfortable managing leverage. Its main strengths are the asset breadth, isolated positions and a documented audit set. The main caveat is risk: looped strategies show high headline APYs that can vanish or lead to liquidation, and any smart-contract protocol can fail. Beginners should start with simple deposits.

What is Dolomite?
Dolomite is a decentralized lending and borrowing platform that DefiLlama describes as a next-gen money market and DeFi prime brokerage. It has been listed since October 2022 and shows roughly $185 million in total value locked across seven chains.
Its main pitch is breadth. The homepage says it is the only lending platform supporting over 1,000 unique assets, with borrowing available against 100+ assets. It adds tools such as isolated borrow positions, one-click Zap actions and curated yield strategies.
The project has its own token, DOLO, with veDOLO and oDOLO used for governance and rewards. The homepage lists six audits and an open bug bounty, though leveraged strategies remain risky no matter how many audits a protocol has.
How Dolomite works
Dolomite is a money market. Lenders deposit assets into pools and earn a supply APY paid by borrowers. Borrowers post collateral, take a loan against it up to a maximum loan-to-value, and pay a borrow APY. If collateral value falls below the liquidation threshold, the position can be liquidated and a penalty applies.
The platform keeps each borrow position separate, so one position being liquidated does not touch the others. Zap lets users swap, loop or repay inside a position using integrated DEX aggregators, all in one transaction.
On top of this, Dolomite offers curated strategies, such as looped positions on GMX-related assets or staked tokens. These borrow against collateral repeatedly to raise exposure and yield, which also raises risk. The DOLO, veDOLO and oDOLO token system handles rewards and governance.
7 features
Key features
01
Very wide asset support
The homepage says the platform supports over 1,000 unique assets for lending and borrowing, and that users can borrow against 100+ assets.
02
Isolated borrow positions
Each borrow position is kept separate, so trouble in one position does not spill into others. This is useful for people running several strategies at once.
03
Zap one-click actions
Zap connects DEX aggregators and protocol routing so users can swap, loop, hedge or repay inside a borrow position in a single transaction.
04
Curated yield strategies
Pre-built strategies designed by Dolomite and partners, filterable by APR, risk level and chain, with a dashboard to track and close positions.
05
DOLO token system
DOLO, veDOLO and oDOLO cover rewards, governance and protocol-owned liquidity. Users can lock DOLO for a chosen duration to gain vote weight.
06
Core and Modules design
The core and module contracts are split into two repositories, which the project says separates immutable architecture from active development.
07
Developer integration
Dolomite offers an SDK and describes composable integration so other protocols can use its lending markets, isolated positions and swaps.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Supports a very large range of assets, including long-tail tokens that major lenders often skip.
- Isolated borrow positions limit how much one bad position affects the others.
- Six named audit firms and a stated 100% test coverage on production contracts.
- About $185 million TVL and a listing since 2022 show a meaningful track record.
- Zap and curated strategies let users manage swaps, loops and repayments in one place.
- Multi-chain presence including Ethereum and Arbitrum.
Watch out for
- Smart contracts carry risk even after multiple audits, and a bug could lead to loss of funds.
- Looped and leveraged strategies advertise high APYs but can be liquidated, and the homepage figures are examples that change.
- Supporting a very large number of assets raises the risk of thin liquidity or oracle issues on long-tail tokens.
- Borrowers face a stated 5.00% liquidation penalty in the sample ETH market on the homepage.
- TVL fell 6.7% over the last seven days in the DefiLlama data, a reminder that deposits can leave quickly.
- Fee details for the protocol itself are not clearly published publicly reviewed.
Dolomite fees
Dolomite's full fee schedule is not published publicly reviewed. The homepage shows example market data for ETH: a 4.87% supply APY, 2.75% borrow APY, 90% max LTV, 86.96% liquidation threshold and 5.00% liquidation penalty. These are sample figures and change with market conditions.
Beyond interest rates, users also pay network gas fees on the chain they use, and swaps through Zap may involve DEX aggregator routing costs. Current rates, protocol fees and any reward terms appear in the app before a transaction is confirmed.
Is Dolomite safe?
The homepage says the core and module contracts have had six independent audits, by OpenZeppelin, Bramah Systems, SECBIT Labs, Cyfrin, Zokyo and Guardian, and that production contracts maintain 100% line, statement and branch coverage. It also describes an open bug bounty. DefiLlama lists two audits, so the numbers differ by source. Audit details should be checked in the docs.
Users keep custody through their own wallets, but they take on smart-contract, oracle and liquidation risk. Looped strategies on volatile or niche assets are riskier than plain lending. The project does not include any incident history, so none is reported here. This is not financial advice.
6 steps
How to get started with Dolomite
- 1
Check that DeFi lending is permitted where you live, then read the official docs.
- 2
Choose a supported chain such as Ethereum or Arbitrum and fund a self-custody wallet with the asset and enough gas.
- 3
Open the app and review the market for your asset, including supply APY, borrow APY and liquidation threshold.
- 4
Start with a simple deposit to earn yield before using borrowing or leverage.
- 5
If borrowing, keep your loan-to-value well below the maximum and monitor your position.
- 6
Treat curated looped strategies as advanced products and read their risk tags and leverage levels first.
Who Dolomite is for
Dolomite is for intermediate and advanced DeFi users who want to lend, borrow or run leveraged strategies on assets that larger money markets may not support. Newcomers can use basic lending, but should avoid looped strategies until they understand liquidation.
Dolomite FAQs
What is Dolomite?
Dolomite is a lending and borrowing protocol, described by DefiLlama as a next-gen money market and DeFi prime brokerage. Users supply assets to earn yield, borrow against collateral, and open pre-built strategies.
Which blockchains does Dolomite run on?
DefiLlama lists Dolomite on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Berachain, Mantle, X Layer, Botanix and Polygon zkEVM. Available assets and markets can differ by chain, so check the app for each network.
Is Dolomite audited?
The homepage says the contracts have been audited by six firms: OpenZeppelin, Bramah Systems, SECBIT Labs, Cyfrin, Zokyo and Guardian. It also cites 100% line, statement and branch test coverage and an open bug bounty. Audits reduce risk but do not remove it.
What is the DOLO token for?
DOLO is the protocol's token. The homepage describes a system of DOLO, veDOLO and oDOLO used for community rewards, protocol-owned liquidity and governance, with a lock feature that sets vote weight by lock duration.
Can I lose money borrowing on Dolomite?
Yes. Strategies that loop collateral use leverage, and a falling collateral value or rising debt cost can trigger liquidation. The homepage example for ETH shows a liquidation penalty of 5.00%, so users should understand the threshold before borrowing.
How many assets does Dolomite support?
The homepage says it supports over 1,000 unique assets and lets users borrow against 100+ assets. Each borrow position is kept separate, so a change in one position does not affect the others.
