Interport Finance Review 2026: Cross-Chain Swaps, Tiny TVL

Interport Finance is a cross-chain swap and bridge service that routes trades through DEX aggregation and cross-chain messaging instead of classic bridge pools. Its multichain reach is wide, but on-chain activity is very small.

By the DappsAtlas editorial team · Updated

Our verdict on Interport Finance

5.5/10

Interport Finance suits experienced DeFi users who want a single tool for same-chain and cross-chain swaps across many EVM networks and are comfortable testing with small amounts. Its main strength is broad chain coverage with a messaging-based design and a documented refund path. The main caveat is very low locked value, unpublished fees and little visible detail on audits or the team. Verify the audit reports and recent activity before trusting it with meaningful funds.

What is Interport Finance?

Interport Finance is a DeFi platform for cross-chain and single-chain swaps. It describes itself as using Meta DEX aggregation to find good trading rates and cross-chain messaging to move value between networks without a traditional bridge.

DefiLlama lists it under cross-chain bridges, with activity on 16 chains including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Linea, Scroll, zkSync Era and Blast. It has been listed since April 2023, and the project's own bridge page cites support for 17 networks, including non-EVM ones. A native token, ITP, is listed.

The main concern is scale. DefiLlama shows total value locked of about $3,600, with no change over seven days. For a messaging-based router, TVL is not the same as volume, but it does suggest limited use. Anyone considering it should check recent transaction activity and the audit reports first.

How Interport Finance works

Interport combines two ideas. First, Meta DEX aggregation scans multiple decentralized exchanges to find a competitive route for a swap. Second, cross-chain messaging passes instructions between blockchains so that a swap started on one chain can finish on another.

Per its own description, this removes the need for a traditional lock-and-mint bridge. Instead of depositing into a bridge pool and receiving a wrapped token, the user sends an order and the protocol coordinates the delivery of the destination asset. A social post from the project also mentions using Chainlink CCIP for moving deUSD, and the bridge page mentions support for OFT (Omnichain Fungible Tokens).

If the destination token cannot be delivered, the docs say the user is credited with a variable balance (viAssets) as a fallback. The details of that mechanism are in the project's refund guide.

7 features

Key features

01

Cross-chain swaps

Swaps assets between different blockchains in one flow, with the aim of giving users the best available rate.

02

Single-chain swaps

Also handles same-chain trades, so one interface covers both local and cross-chain activity.

03

Meta DEX aggregation

Aggregates liquidity from multiple DEXs and routes to find competitive trading rates.

04

Messaging-based transfers

Uses cross-chain messaging instead of traditional bridge pools to coordinate transfers between networks.

05

Bridge for EVM and non-EVM

The bridge page describes transfers across EVM and non-EVM networks, and a social post mentions Chainlink CCIP and OFT tokens as supported routes.

06

Assets refund mechanism

If the swap to the desired token cannot complete on the destination chain, the user is credited with a variable balance (viAssets).

07

Documentation and contract list

Public documentation includes guides and a contracts page where users can find deployed contract addresses.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Wide network coverage, including Ethereum, major L2s and several newer chains
  • Combines DEX aggregation with cross-chain swaps in a single interface
  • Messaging-based design avoids depending on a traditional bridge liquidity pool
  • Documented refund path (viAssets) if the destination swap cannot complete
  • Two audits are listed and contract addresses are published
  • Supports both EVM and non-EVM networks according to its bridge page

Watch out for

  • Very low value locked (about $3,600 per DefiLlama), which suggests little real usage at the moment
  • The audit reports are not detailed, so scope and findings cannot be checked here
  • Fees, slippage and routing costs are not published in the material reviewed
  • The team and governance behind the protocol are not described
  • Cross-chain messaging adds dependency on third-party infrastructure, which carries its own risk
  • The ITP token's utility is not explained in the material reviewed

Interport Finance fees

Interport does not publish a fee table in the material reviewed. Users would see the expected output, network gas and any protocol or routing charges in the swap quote on the app before confirming a transaction.

Cross-chain swaps normally combine several costs: gas on the source chain, the cost of cross-chain messaging, and the spread or slippage on the underlying DEX routes. Compare the quote with other aggregators before moving larger amounts.

Is Interport Finance safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits for Interport, but the auditors, dates and findings are not detailed in the material reviewed. Contract addresses are published on the project's site, which lets users verify what they interact with. No hack or exploit is mentioned.

Cross-chain products carry layered risk: the router contracts, the DEX routes they call, and the messaging layer that links chains. A failure in any of them can cause delays or loss. The very low TVL and limited public information on the team and governance are reasons to keep amounts small and approvals limited. Interport is a non-custodial DeFi app, so users hold their own keys and are responsible for wallet security.

7 steps

How to get started with Interport Finance

  1. 1

Open the official Interport website and check the address carefully to avoid look-alike sites.

  2. 2

Connect a compatible wallet on the source chain you want to use.

  3. 3

Choose the source asset and chain, then the destination asset and chain.

  4. 4

Review the quote, including expected output, gas and any fees, and the route used.

  5. 5

Start with a small test transfer before moving larger amounts.

  6. 6

Confirm the transaction and track it until the funds arrive on the destination chain.

  7. 7

If the destination swap cannot complete, check the assets refund guide in the docs for how the credit is handled.

Who Interport Finance is for

Interport is aimed at DeFi traders and bridge users who move assets between EVM chains and want aggregated swap routes rather than a basic bridge. It fits people comfortable reading docs, checking contracts and sending test transactions. It is a weaker fit for anyone who needs a large, heavily used protocol with an established track record.

Interport Finance FAQs

What is Interport Finance?

Interport is a cross-chain trading platform that supports cross-chain and single-chain swaps. It uses Meta DEX aggregation to look for good rates and cross-chain messaging to move value between networks, rather than relying on a traditional bridge design.

Which blockchains does Interport support?

DefiLlama lists Scroll, Ethereum, Linea, Manta, Optimism, Base, BNB Chain, Arbitrum, Avalanche, zkSync Era, opBNB, Polygon, Fantom, Polygon zkEVM, Blast and zkLink. The project's bridge page describes support for 17 networks, including both EVM and non-EVM chains.

Is Interport Finance safe?

The listing shows two audits, but the audit reports and the auditors are not detailed in the material reviewed. As with any bridge or swap protocol, an audit lowers risk but does not remove it, so users should read the reports and start with small amounts.

What happens if a cross-chain swap fails?

Interport's documentation includes an assets refund guide. If an exchange into the desired token cannot be completed on the destination chain, the user is credited with a variable balance token (viAssets) instead of losing the transfer.

Does Interport have a token?

Interport has a token with the ticker ITP according to DefiLlama. What the token does within the protocol, such as governance or fee sharing, is not set out in the material reviewed.

What does it cost to use Interport?

Interport does not publish a fee schedule in the material reviewed. Costs generally include network gas on the source chain, any cross-chain messaging cost and the swap rate on the aggregated routes, all of which should appear in the quote before you confirm.
