XDC Network is a layer-1 blockchain that is compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so Solidity contracts and standard EVM tools work on it. Instead of proof of work, it uses a delegated proof-of-stake variant called XDPoS, in which a limited set of staked validators produce and confirm blocks. The chain has historically focused on enterprise use cases such as trade finance and tokenised assets, alongside a smaller public DeFi scene.
The native token is XDC. It pays gas fees, is staked to secure the network, and serves as the main collateral and trading asset in local protocols. Fees are generally low compared with Ethereum mainnet. Tokens follow the XRC20 standard, similar to ERC-20, and wallet addresses commonly appear with an xdc prefix.
The XDC dApp ecosystem is small, and this hub lists 29 projects. At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on the chain is about $2.0 million. Native names include Fathom Lending for borrowing and lending, Prime Staking for liquid staking with psXDC, XSwap V2 for token swaps, and ComTech Gold, a gold-backed token. Multichain protocols such as Silo V3, Teller, Kasu and Sablier-style payment tools also reach XDC, and big cross-chain names like LayerZero V2 list it among their networks. Their headline TVL figures cover all chains, not only XDC.

Frequently asked questions
What is XDC Network?
XDC Network is a layer-1 blockchain that runs its own validator set under a delegated proof-of-stake variant called XDPoS. It is EVM-compatible, so Solidity contracts and Ethereum-style tooling work on it. It has long been pitched at enterprise uses such as trade finance and tokenised real-world assets.
Is XDC EVM compatible?
Yes. XDC supports the Ethereum Virtual Machine, so developers can reuse Solidity code and familiar tools. Tokens follow the XRC20 standard, which works much like ERC-20. Addresses are often shown with an xdc prefix in place of 0x, but they map to the same format underneath.
What is the XDC token used for?
XDC is the native token. It pays transaction fees, is used for staking and validator participation, and is the base asset in many XDC lending and trading markets. Fees on the network are generally low, though you should always check the cost shown in your wallet before confirming a transaction.
Which dApps are available on XDC?
Native projects include Fathom Lending, Prime Staking, XSwap V2 and ComTech Gold. Multichain protocols such as Silo V3, Teller, Kasu, Loop, PrimeFi and IcecreamSwap V2 also list XDC as one of their supported networks. Our site currently lists 29 dApps for the chain.
How big is DeFi on XDC?
At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on XDC is about $2.0 million, which is small next to the larger smart-contract chains. Some listed dApps, such as LayerZero V2 and Morpho Blue, show very large TVL figures, but those numbers cover all the chains they run on, not XDC alone. Check each protocol's XDC deployment for its real local liquidity.
What risks should I know about before using XDC dApps?
Thin liquidity is the main one, since small pools can mean wide price gaps when you swap. Smaller protocols also carry smart contract risk, and bridged assets add bridge risk. Read each dApp's review, check for audits, and start with an amount you can afford to lose.
What is the largest dApp on XDC by TVL?
LayerZero V2 is the largest dApp on XDC by total value locked, with $17.9B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Morpho Blue ($10.9B) and Bitget ($5.93B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.
Which dApp on XDC has the highest DappsAtlas score?
Uniswap V3 has the highest score at 8.4/10, ahead of LayerZero V2 (8.0) and Morpho Blue (8.0). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.
How many dApps are on XDC?
DappsAtlas tracks 30 dApps on XDC. Of these, 30 have a full review and 24 report value locked, $46.8B in total, counting value on every chain they support.
What are the most common types of dApps on XDC?
Lending (8), DEXes (5) and Centralized Exchanges (4) are the largest categories on XDC, by number of projects.
Which dApps on XDC grew the most this week?
What is the average score for dApps on XDC?
The 26 rated dApps on XDC average 6.5 out of 10. Of these, 4 score 8 or higher and 2 score below 5.
