Tempo is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain created by Stripe and Paradigm. It is built for stablecoin payments rather than as a general-purpose chain for every kind of application. Project materials describe fast transactions, quick finality and low fees as the main goals, aimed at businesses and developers who need to move dollars on-chain at volume.

Our data lists no native token for Tempo. The design leans on stablecoins instead, and Tempo Fee AMM, a small exchange on the chain, supports paying network fees in stablecoins. That keeps costs easy to predict for payment use cases, but fee rules can change, so check Tempo's current documentation before building around them.

The ecosystem is early. At the time of writing, DeFi TVL is about $104.4 million across the 18 dApps we list. Most of them are established multichain protocols that have added Tempo support: Uniswap V2, V3 and V4 for swaps, Morpho Blue for lending, Gauntlet for vault risk curation, and LayerZero V2, USDT0, Across and Symbiosis for moving assets in and out. Reservoir Protocol, vfat.io, Hinkal, Backpack and the infrastructure provider Drpc round out the list. Tempo Fee AMM is the only one native to the chain, and its liquidity is tiny.

Frequently asked questions

What is Tempo blockchain?

Tempo is an EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain from Stripe and Paradigm, designed for high-volume stablecoin payments. Its audience is businesses and developers who want to move money on-chain rather than speculate.

Is Tempo compatible with Ethereum tools?

Tempo is described as EVM-compatible, so developers can use familiar Ethereum-style tooling and smart contract languages. Check each app's documentation for the exact wallet and network setup it supports.

Does Tempo have a native token?

Our data lists no native token for Tempo. The network is built around stablecoins, and Tempo Fee AMM supports paying network fees in stablecoins. Confirm current fee rules in Tempo's official documentation.

Which dApps are available on Tempo?

The 18 dApps on our Tempo page include Uniswap V2, V3 and V4, Morpho Blue, LayerZero V2, USDT0, Across, Symbiosis, Gauntlet, Hinkal, Reservoir Protocol, vfat.io, Backpack, Drpc and Tempo Fee AMM. Most are multichain protocols that also support Tempo. Tempo Fee AMM is the one that lives only on this chain.

How much value is locked in Tempo DeFi?

At the time of writing, our data puts Tempo's DeFi TVL at about $104.4 million. This is small next to older chains. The much larger TVL figures beside some listed dApps cover all the chains they run on, not Tempo alone.

Is Tempo safe to use?

Tempo is a young network with a small DeFi footprint, and a smaller app such as Tempo Fee AMM has very little liquidity. Smart contract bugs, thin markets and stablecoin issuer risk all apply. Start small, check which chain an app is actually using, and read each dApp's review on our site first.

What is the largest dApp on Tempo by TVL?

LayerZero V2 is the largest dApp on Tempo by total value locked, with $17.9B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Morpho Blue ($10.9B) and USDT0 ($3.36B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Tempo has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Uniswap V4 has the highest score at 8.5/10, ahead of Uniswap V3 (8.4) and LayerZero V2 (8.0). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Tempo?
