BSquared (B² Network) is a Layer 2 network built around Bitcoin. It is EVM-compatible and uses a zero-knowledge rollup design, which means Ethereum-style smart contracts can run on it while the network aims to scale Bitcoin-linked activity and keep fees low. Because it speaks the same language as other EVM chains, existing wallets and developer tools generally work with it.

The native token is B2. As on most EVM networks, users pay transaction fees in the chain's gas token, and fee levels depend on network conditions and the chain's own design, so it is worth checking an estimate in your wallet before you confirm. The project positions Bitcoin as a settlement asset for payments and AI-related use cases, according to its own materials.

The ecosystem is small and leans heavily toward BTCFi, meaning yield, lending and bridging around Bitcoin assets. At the time of writing, DeFi TVL is about $2.5 million. Buzz Farming routes assets into strategies with partners such as Babylon, Lombard and Bedrock, while Echo Bridge moves BTC assets in and out. GlowSwap is a native DEX, and LayerBank, Segment Finance and River Omni-CDP cover lending and stablecoin borrowing. Bridges such as Meson and TeleSwap, and Pell Network for BTC restaking, round out the list. Treat everything here as higher risk and do your own research.

Frequently asked questions

What is BSquared Network?

BSquared, also written B² Network, is a Bitcoin-focused Layer 2 network. It is EVM-compatible and uses zero-knowledge rollup technology to add smart contract features and lower fees to Bitcoin-based activity.

Is BSquared EVM-compatible?

Yes. Search results describe it as an EVM-compatible chain, so wallets and developer tools built for Ethereum-style networks generally work with it. Always check the network details in your wallet before connecting.

What is the B2 token used for?

B2 is the native token of the network. Transaction fees on BSquared are tied to the network's own gas mechanics, so check your wallet's fee estimate before confirming any transaction.

Which dApps run on BSquared?

Buzz Farming, Echo Bridge, GlowSwap, LayerBank, Meson, TeleSwap, Segment Finance and Pell Network all list BSquared among their supported chains. River Omni-CDP and KiloEx are multi-chain protocols that also support it.

How much value is locked on BSquared?

At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on BSquared is about $2.5 million, which is small next to the largest chains. Some protocols that list BSquared report much larger multi-chain totals, but those figures cover all their networks, not just this one.

Is it safe to bridge assets to BSquared?

Bridges and DeFi protocols carry smart contract and exploit risk. TeleSwap, for example, is reported to have suffered an exploit of over $735,000 in July 2026. Start with small amounts, check audit information and understand how a bridge holds funds before using it.

What is the largest dApp on BSquared by TVL?

Gate is the largest dApp on BSquared by total value locked, with $5.91B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Bedrock uniBTC ($324M) and Hive Protocol ($222M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on BSquared has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Gate has the highest score at 7.7/10, ahead of Hyperlane (7.4) and Symbiosis (7.2). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on BSquared?

DappsAtlas tracks 22 dApps on BSquared. Of these, 22 have a full review and 21 report value locked, $6.67B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on BSquared?

Lending (6), Cross Chain Bridge (4) and Farm (2) are the largest categories on BSquared, by number of projects.
