Arbitrum Nova is a layer 2 network that runs on top of Ethereum and is part of the Arbitrum family. It uses the AnyTrust model instead of the full rollup model used by Arbitrum One. Rather than posting every piece of transaction data to Ethereum, a committee of approved validators stores it off-chain. This cuts costs, and the trade-off is that users must trust the committee to behave honestly. Nova is EVM compatible, so Ethereum wallets and Solidity contracts work with little or no change.
Nova does not have a native token of its own. Fees are paid in ETH and are generally low, which suits apps that send many small transactions, such as games and social platforms. ARB is the governance token of the broader Arbitrum DAO, but it is not needed to pay for gas on Nova. Onchain activity is small at the moment, with DeFi TVL of about $350,587 at the time of writing.
The dApps we list here lean toward infrastructure and cross-chain tools more than large DeFi venues. SushiSwap and SushiSwap V3 are multichain decentralized exchanges. Symbiosis routes swaps and bridges across many networks. Envio provides indexing and data tools for developers, and RubyScore scores wallet reputation. Gate, a centralized exchange, also appears in the list, but its figures reflect the exchange as a whole and not activity on Nova. Check each dApp's page for which features are actually available on this chain.

Frequently asked questions
What is Arbitrum Nova?
Arbitrum Nova is an Ethereum layer 2 chain built for applications that send a lot of low-value transactions, such as games and social apps. It uses Arbitrum's AnyTrust design, which trades some of Ethereum's data guarantees for lower fees.
How is Arbitrum Nova different from Arbitrum One?
Both run on Arbitrum technology and are EVM compatible. Arbitrum One posts transaction data to Ethereum, while Nova keeps it with a committee of approved validators, which makes fees lower. Arbitrum One is usually the better fit for high-value DeFi, and Nova for high-volume, low-value activity.
What token do I need to pay fees on Arbitrum Nova?
Gas is paid in ETH, so Nova has no separate native token of its own. ARB is the governance token of the wider Arbitrum DAO, but you do not need it to pay fees on Nova.
Can I use MetaMask and other Ethereum wallets on Arbitrum Nova?
Yes. Nova is EVM compatible, so Ethereum wallets such as MetaMask work once you add the network. You then bridge ETH over from Ethereum or another Arbitrum chain. Check that your wallet shows the correct network before you send funds, because a transfer to the wrong network can be hard to recover.
Is Arbitrum Nova as secure as Ethereum?
Not by default. Nova relies on a data availability committee rather than posting all data to Ethereum, so it assumes a trusted group of validators stays honest. That is a different trust assumption from Arbitrum One, and it is a reason to keep large balances on other networks.
How active is the Arbitrum Nova ecosystem?
Activity is modest. DeFi TVL was about $350,587 at the time of writing, which is small next to the main Arbitrum chain. Several listed projects, including Envio and RubyScore, are developer tools or services rather than lending or trading venues.
What is the largest dApp on Arbitrum Nova by TVL?
Gate is the largest dApp on Arbitrum Nova by total value locked, with $5.91B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by SushiSwap V3 ($39.6M) and SushiSwap ($35.5M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.
Which dApp on Arbitrum Nova has the highest DappsAtlas score?
How many dApps are on Arbitrum Nova?
DappsAtlas tracks 10 dApps on Arbitrum Nova. Of these, 10 have a full review and 7 report value locked, $6.01B in total, counting value on every chain they support.
What are the most common types of dApps on Arbitrum Nova?
DEXes (3), Developer Tools (2) and Cross Chain Bridge (2) are the largest categories on Arbitrum Nova, by number of projects.
Which dApps on Arbitrum Nova grew the most this week?
Among dApps with at least $1M locked, SushiSwap V3 had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+4.2%) and Arbitrum Nova Bridge the biggest drop (−4.1%). Combined TVL moved −2.5% over the same seven days.
What is the average score for dApps on Arbitrum Nova?
The 9 rated dApps on Arbitrum Nova average 6.8 out of 10. Of these, 1 score 8 or higher and 0 score below 5.
