Lisk is an Ethereum Layer 2 network. It began as a separate Layer 1 blockchain and later moved to a rollup built on the OP Stack. It is EVM-compatible, so apps written for Ethereum can be deployed with familiar tools, and it relies on Ethereum for final settlement and security. Moving funds in usually means bridging assets from Ethereum.

LSK is the network's native token, while fees on the Layer 2 are generally paid in ETH. As with other rollups, transactions are batched and posted to Ethereum, which keeps costs lower than on the base layer. Fee levels still vary with network use and Ethereum's own data costs.

The Lisk dApp scene is small and early. Mellow Restaking offers configurable vaults for yield, Nusa covers swaps, bridging and lending across Lisk and BNB Chain, and FAET is an early web3 RPG project. Large multichain protocols on our list, including LayerZero V2, Morpho Blue and Uniswap V3, are better known elsewhere, so check which deployments are live on Lisk. The tracked DeFi TVL for Lisk is about $0 at the time of writing, so research each project carefully.

Blockchain Interoperability Explained and How Lisk Approaches It

Blockchains are separate networks that do not natively share assets or data, which limits liquidity, users and applications. Interoperability is the set of methods that let them exchange value and messages, and Lisk is one platform that has built its own approach to it.

How to Discover Trending dApps on Lisk in 2026

Lisk has a smaller app ecosystem than the largest networks, which makes it practical to track which dApps are gaining real use. This guide gives you a repeatable method for finding them, checking activity and vetting new apps before you use them.

Public reporting we checked do not confirm a 60,000 CHF Lisk grant program, so this guide explains what Lisk has funded and distributed so far, how to verify any grant or airdrop announcement, and how to protect yourself while you check.

Frequently asked questions

What is Lisk?

Lisk is an Ethereum Layer 2 network. It started as its own Layer 1 blockchain and later moved to a rollup design built on the OP Stack, so it settles on Ethereum and works with Ethereum tools and wallets.

Is Lisk EVM-compatible?

Yes, as a Layer 2 built on the OP Stack it is EVM-compatible. Developers can use Solidity and standard Ethereum tooling, and users can connect wallets such as MetaMask by adding the network.

What is the LSK token used for?

LSK is the native token of the Lisk ecosystem. On the current Layer 2, network fees are generally paid in ETH rather than LSK, so check the current fee settings in your wallet before you transact.

Which dApps run on Lisk?

On our site, Mellow Restaking, Nusa and FAET list Lisk among their supported chains. Other protocols such as LayerZero V2, Morpho Blue and Uniswap V3 are large multichain projects, so confirm that a specific deployment exists on Lisk before using it.

How much value is locked in Lisk DeFi?

The tracked DeFi TVL for Lisk is about $0 at the time of writing, which means little or no value is recorded by the tracker. Treat the ecosystem as early-stage and check each dApp's own documentation and audits.

What should I check before using a dApp on Lisk?

Risks include smart contract bugs, bridge risk when moving assets between Ethereum and Lisk, and thin liquidity. Some Lisk-focused projects, such as Nusa, have no audits listed and no tracked TVL, so use only amounts you can afford to lose.

What is the largest dApp on Lisk by TVL?

LayerZero V2 is the largest dApp on Lisk by total value locked, with $17.9B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by Morpho Blue ($10.9B) and Uniswap V3 ($1.52B). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Lisk has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Uniswap V3 has the highest score at 8.4/10, ahead of LayerZero V2 (8.0) and Morpho Blue (8.0). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Lisk?

DappsAtlas tracks 14 dApps on Lisk. Of these, 14 have a full review and 8 report value locked, $30.4B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Lisk?

DEXes (3), Lending (3) and Bridge (1) are the largest categories on Lisk, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Lisk grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, LayerZero V2 had the biggest 7-day TVL gain (+10.6%) and Velodrome V2 the biggest drop (−6.8%). Combined TVL moved +5.7% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Lisk?

The 14 rated dApps on Lisk average 6.7 out of 10. Of these, 3 score 8 or higher and 2 score below 5.
