Shibarium is a layer 2 blockchain built for the Shiba Inu community. It is EVM-compatible, meaning it runs the same kind of smart contracts as Ethereum and works with standard Ethereum wallets and tools. It uses a proof-of-stake validator model, with validators staking the network's token, and it settles back to Ethereum. The goal is to move SHIB-ecosystem activity off mainnet, where fees can be high.

The native token is BONE. It pays for gas on the network, is staked by validators to help secure it, and also serves as a governance token across the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Because fees are paid in BONE, you will need some in your wallet before you can transact. Fees are generally lower than on Ethereum mainnet, though they vary with usage.

The ecosystem is small and centered on the Shiba Inu brand. At the time of writing, DeFi TVL is about $130,000. The best-known apps are the ShibaSwap decentralized exchanges (ShibaSwap V1, ShibaSwap V2 and the original Shibaswap listing), which handle swaps, liquidity and staking for SHIB, LEASH and BONE. Nownodes offers node API access for developers. Large multichain services such as Gate and Chainlink CCIP also appear in our listings, but check each page to see what they support on Shibarium.

Frequently asked questions

What is Shibarium?

Shibarium is a layer 2 network tied to the Shiba Inu ecosystem. It is EVM-compatible, so it runs Ethereum-style smart contracts and works with familiar wallets. Its stated aim is lower fees than Ethereum mainnet for SHIB-related activity.

What is the BONE token used for?

BONE is the native token. It is used for network gas and for staking by validators, and it also acts as a governance token in the wider Shiba Inu ecosystem. You need a small amount of BONE in your wallet to pay for transactions.

Is Shibarium EVM-compatible?

Yes, it follows the EVM model, so MetaMask-style wallets can connect after you add the network. Contracts written for Ethereum generally work with little change. Always take the network details from official Shiba Inu sources, not from random links.

Which dApps can I use on Shibarium?

The ShibaSwap family is the main set of apps here: ShibaSwap V1, ShibaSwap V2 and the general Shibaswap listing. They cover swapping, liquidity and staking for tokens like SHIB, LEASH and BONE. Nownodes also appears as an infrastructure option for developers.

How much value is locked on Shibarium?

At the time of writing, DeFi TVL on Shibarium is about $130,000, which is small next to major chains. Liquidity may be thin, so large swaps can move prices more than you expect. Check pool depth and slippage before trading.

Do Gate and CCIP run on Shibarium?

Not necessarily. Gate and Chainlink CCIP are large multichain services, and they appear in our listings, but their own chain lists show other networks. Check each dApp's page and its official documentation to see whether it supports Shibarium before you send funds.

Is it safe to use Shibarium dApps?

Smart contracts, bridges and small-liquidity pools all carry risk, and you can lose funds. Use only official bridge and app addresses, start with a small test amount, and never share your seed phrase. Nothing on this page is financial advice.

What is the largest dApp on Shibarium by TVL?

Gate is the largest dApp on Shibarium by total value locked, with $5.91B across all the chains it supports. It is followed by CCIP ($1.86B) and ShibaSwap V1 ($5.36M). TVL figures come from DefiLlama and change daily.

Which dApp on Shibarium has the highest DappsAtlas score?

Gate has the highest score at 7.7/10, ahead of CCIP (7.6) and ShibaSwap V1 (6.5). Scores weigh security, ease of use, fees and features, and are based only on facts we could verify.

How many dApps are on Shibarium?

DappsAtlas tracks 11 dApps on Shibarium. Of these, 11 have a full review and 8 report value locked, $7.77B in total, counting value on every chain they support.

What are the most common types of dApps on Shibarium?

DEXes (7), Centralized Exchanges (1) and Bridge (1) are the largest categories on Shibarium, by number of projects.

Which dApps on Shibarium grew the most this week?

Among dApps with at least $1M locked, Gate the biggest drop (−2.6%). Combined TVL moved −2.2% over the same seven days.

What is the average score for dApps on Shibarium?
