Abstract is an Ethereum layer 2 built for consumer-facing crypto apps such as games, social products and simple trading. It was developed by Igloo Inc. and runs as a ZK rollup on the ZKsync stack, using EigenDA for data availability. Transactions are batched and settled on Ethereum with validity proofs, and developers write apps in Solidity. Its main feature is account abstraction, which lets people use an app without managing a seed phrase.

Our data lists no native token for Abstract. DeFi TVL on the chain is about $2.9 million at the time of writing, which is small next to major networks. The more important fact for 2026 is that Abstract has announced it will shut down on 15 December 2026, and users need to migrate assets before then. Treat any new deposits with that deadline in mind.

The ecosystem is mostly small and experimental. Abstract Global Wallet is the main wallet, and the native DEXes include SakuraSwap CLMM, Aborean CL, Aborean AMM and Mondrian Swap. Kona V2, Kona Stableswap and Kona Lend cover swaps, stable trading and lending. Myriad Markets is a prediction market, so readers must be 18+ (21+ where required) and should check it is legal where they live. LOL Land is a casual board game. Gigaverse is offline, and ZeroLend has announced a wind-down. Larger multichain protocols like LayerZero V2 and Morpho Blue also appear on our list, but they operate across many networks and are not specific to Abstract.
