WOWswap Review 2026: Leveraged DEX Trading, Tiny TVL
WOWswap is a decentralized leveraged trading protocol that lets traders borrow funds to trade on AMMs. Its liquidity is now very small, so treat it as a high-risk, low-activity protocol.

Our verdict on WOWswap
4.3/10WOWswap suits experienced DeFi users who understand leverage, liquidation and smart-contract risk and want to see how a lending layer on top of AMMs works. Its main strength is the concept: borrowing against collateral to trade on established AMMs across several chains. The main caveat is size. TVL is about $43,000 and token volume is very low, so liquidity is thin, the headline staking claim is hard to take at face value, and fees and team details are not published. Beginners should look elsewhere.

What is WOWswap?
WOWswap is a decentralized leveraged trading protocol. Its contracts let traders borrow funds to finance leveraged trades on decentralized AMMs, while lenders supply the liquidity. The project says it offers over 200 tokens at competitive rates with low slippage.
DefiLlama files it under DEXs and has tracked it since February 2022. It lists deployments on BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, IoTeX, Kava, HECO, Metis and Ethereum, and shows two audits. The protocol has its own token, WOW.
Current activity looks small. Total value locked is about $43,000, and search snippets show very low 24-hour volume for the WOW token. Its homepage is minimal and describes the product as a BSC-based AMM with HybridStaking returns of up to 2.5% daily, a description that differs from the leveraged-trading framing elsewhere.
How WOWswap works
WOWswap sits on top of existing automated market makers. In an AMM, users swap tokens against pools of funds instead of matching orders with another trader. WOWswap adds a lending layer: liquidity providers deposit funds, and traders borrow those funds to take larger positions than their own capital would allow.
The borrowed funds are used to trade on AMMs such as PancakeSwap. The trader posts collateral, and if the position loses too much value the collateral can be liquidated to repay lenders. Lenders earn returns from what borrowers pay, which is how the protocol says it maximizes returns for liquidity providers.
The homepage also mentions HybridStaking and the WOW token. How these work in detail, and how WOW is distributed, is not explained.
6 features
Key features
01
Leveraged AMM trading
Traders can borrow funds through the protocol to open leveraged positions on decentralized AMMs such as PancakeSwap.
02
200+ token markets
The protocol says it offers over 200 tokens to trade, with an emphasis on good rates and low slippage.
03
Lender liquidity pools
Liquidity providers supply funds that traders borrow, and the protocol says this maximizes their returns.
04
HybridStaking
The homepage describes a HybridStaking feature that it says returns up to 2.5% daily. This is a marketing claim and not a verified yield.
05
Multi-chain deployments
DefiLlama lists eight chains, including BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, Ethereum, IoTeX, Kava, HECO and Metis.
06
WOW token and open code
The protocol has its own WOW token, and the project maintains public code repositories.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Adds borrowing to existing AMM liquidity, so traders can take leveraged positions without a centralized exchange.
- Listed on eight chains by DefiLlama, including Ethereum, BNB Chain and Polygon.
- Two audits are listed, according to DefiLlama.
- Has a public code repository and an active-looking social account that announced an Ethereum beta deployment.
- Operating since at least early 2022, so it has some track record.
Watch out for
- Total value locked is only about $43,000, so liquidity is thin and a large trade could move prices.
- Search snippets show a 24-hour trading volume for the WOW token of only a few dozen dollars, which points to very little current activity.
- Leveraged trading can lead to fast liquidation and total loss of the collateral.
- The homepage advertises staking returns of up to 2.5% per day, a figure that needs to be treated with great caution.
- The project does not publish team details, fee tables or audit reports on its homepage.
- Chain support is described inconsistently across sources, and some listed chains, such as HECO, are no longer widely used.
WOWswap fees
WOWswap does not publish a fee schedule on its homepage. Swap fees, borrowing costs for leveraged positions and any liquidation penalties are not stated.
Users should check the trading interface for borrow rates and slippage before confirming any position. On top of protocol costs, you pay network gas on whichever chain you use.
Is WOWswap safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits for WOWswap, but the audit firms, scope and findings are not stated. Read the audit reports directly before depositing. The protocol is non-custodial in principle, since users interact through their own wallets, but funds sit in smart contracts that carry bug and oracle risk.
Leveraged trading adds liquidation risk, and a very small TVL means thin liquidity. The project does not publish team identities or a licence on its homepage, and DeFi protocols like this generally operate without regulatory oversight. No hack is mentioned.
6 steps
How to get started with WOWswap
- 1
Confirm that leveraged trading and DeFi protocols are permitted where you live.
- 2
Install a compatible wallet and fund it with the native gas token of the chain you plan to use, such as BNB or MATIC.
- 3
Open the official WOWswap site and check which networks are currently active in the app.
- 4
Read the borrow rates, collateral requirements and liquidation rules shown in the interface before opening any position.
- 5
Start with a very small amount to see how pricing and slippage behave.
- 6
Monitor your position regularly, since leveraged trades can be liquidated quickly.
Who WOWswap is for
WOWswap is for experienced DeFi traders who understand leverage and liquidation and are willing to accept the extra risk of a small, low-liquidity protocol. It is not suited to beginners or to anyone who cannot afford to lose the funds they commit.
WOWswap FAQs
What is WOWswap?
WOWswap is a decentralized leveraged trading protocol. Its contracts let traders borrow funds to finance leveraged trades on automated market makers, while liquidity providers earn returns from lending.
Which blockchains does WOWswap support?
DefiLlama lists WOWswap on BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche, IoTeX, Kava, HECO, Metis and Ethereum. The project's own descriptions mention a slightly different set of networks, so check the app for what is currently live.
What is the WOW token?
WOW is the protocol's own token. Search snippets show a price of around one and a half cents and very low daily volume, which makes it hard to trade in size.
Does WOWswap really pay 2.5% a day?
The homepage says its HybridStaking feature returns up to 2.5% daily. Returns like that are unusually high and are not guaranteed, so treat the claim with skepticism and read the contract details first.
Is WOWswap safe?
Leveraged trading is high risk for any user. WOWswap also has a very small TVL, and public sources list two audits but give no details. Only risk money you can afford to lose, and read the audit reports yourself.
What are the fees on WOWswap?
The homepage does not publish a fee schedule. Fees, borrowing rates and slippage should be visible in the trading interface before you confirm a transaction.
