Our verdict on Quickswap

7.6/10

QuickSwap suits DeFi users who want swaps, liquidity provision, farming, staking and perpetuals in one familiar app, especially on Polygon and Base. Its main strengths are the range of products, a long track record since 2020 and a self-custody model. The main caveat is risk: the homepage names no auditors, and liquidity pools, bonds and 100x perps can lose money quickly. Beginners should start with small swaps, verify the official address, and treat leverage with great caution.

What is Quickswap?

QuickSwap is a decentralised exchange that launched on Polygon in 2020, and one third-party source credits Nick Mudge and Sameep Singhania as its founders. It began as a Uniswap-style fork that offered faster and cheaper swaps than Ethereum mainnet. The homepage now presents it as the home of the DragonFi ecosystem and as an Agglayer DEX.

The app lists support for Polygon, Base, Immutable zkEVM, Manta Pacific, Soneium, MANTRA, Somnia, Ethereum and X Layer. The homepage cites more than 1,000 tokens across over 80,000 pairs. Alongside swaps and liquidity pools, it offers farms, bonds, QUICK staking, a fiat on-ramp and perpetuals.

Search snippets point to an ongoing treasury and buyback programme and a community proposal for a strategic migration, though details are not given in its homepage. The team does not publish audit details on the homepage, so users should check the documentation for them.

How Quickswap works

QuickSwap is an automated market maker. Instead of matching buyers and sellers in an order book, it holds pools of two tokens and prices trades by a formula based on the pool balances. One third-party write-up describes the original design as a constant product model similar to Uniswap.

Anyone can supply a token pair to a pool and receive LP tokens as a receipt for their share. Traders pay a fee on each swap, and liquidity providers earn a portion in proportion to their share. LP tokens can often be staked in farms for extra rewards, and the homepage also lists bonds, which give discounted, vested tokens in exchange for liquidity.

Beyond swaps, the app adds QUICK staking for a share of protocol revenue, and Orbs-powered tools for limit orders, DCA and perpetuals. Users connect their own wallet and keep custody of their funds, but they sign transactions that interact directly with smart contracts.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Wide feature set in one app: swaps, LP, farms, bonds, staking, perps and a fiat on-ramp.
  • Multichain presence across Polygon, Base and several other EVM networks.
  • Non-custodial design, so users trade from their own wallet.
  • Established since 2020, with a long history on Polygon.
  • Liquidity providers earn a stated 0.25% fee share on trades.
  • Homepage links to documentation, GitHub and governance proposals.

Watch out for

  • Smart-contract risk applies to every pool, farm, bond and perpetuals market, and no audit details are given on the homepage.
  • Providing liquidity carries impermanent loss, which the homepage does not explain.
  • Perpetuals with up to 100x leverage can cause rapid losses and liquidation.
  • Fee figures differ between sources (0.25% on the homepage, 0.3% in one third-party write-up), so users must check the live interface per pool.
  • The QUICK token trades at a very small market price and low daily volume according to search snippets, which suggests limited market depth.
  • Public reporting mentions a past domain hijack at the registrar level, and impersonation sites exist, so users must confirm they are on the correct site.

Quickswap fees

The homepage states that liquidity providers earn a 0.25% fee on trades, proportional to their share of the pool. One third-party write-up cites 0.3%, likely reflecting older or different pool settings, so check the fee shown in the app before trading.

QuickSwap does not publish a separate withdrawal fee, and one review site notes that, like most DEXes, it charges only network fees. Perpetuals are described as having zero gas fees, but any trading, funding or spread costs on that product are not listed on the homepage. Fiat purchases go through a third-party provider whose fees are shown at checkout.

Is Quickswap safe?

QuickSwap is non-custodial, so funds stay in your wallet until you sign a transaction. The main risks are smart-contract bugs, pool and farm design risk, token price swings and, for perpetuals, leverage. One third-party source says the code was forked from Uniswap's audited code, but newer products such as perps, bonds and multichain deployments are separate code. The homepage does not name auditors or publish audit reports, so check the documentation for them.

Public reporting includes a community thread noting a past domain hijack at the registrar, and users asking which site is genuine. The official address is the one linked from the project's verified channels. Always check the URL, bookmark it, and be wary of approval requests to unknown contracts. QuickSwap is a DeFi protocol, not a regulated broker, and no licence is stated. Check the rules where you live.

7 steps

How to get started with Quickswap

  1. 1

Confirm you are on the official QuickSwap site and check that online trading and DeFi are permitted where you live.

  2. 2

Install a compatible wallet such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet and secure your seed phrase offline.

  3. 3

Fund the wallet with the native gas token of your chosen network, for example POL on Polygon or ETH on Base, or use the fiat on-ramp.

  4. 4

Connect the wallet, select the network, and open the Swap page.

  5. 5

Choose the tokens, review price impact, fees and slippage, then confirm the transaction.

  6. 6

If you add liquidity or farm, start with a small amount and read how impermanent loss works.

  7. 7

Keep to a low leverage if you try perpetuals, or avoid them until you understand liquidation.

Who Quickswap is for

QuickSwap suits users who already hold a self-custody wallet and want to swap tokens, earn fees as a liquidity provider or farm rewards on Polygon, Base and other EVM chains. It also suits holders of QUICK who want revenue-share staking. Complete beginners can use basic swaps with care, while perpetuals and bonds are better left to experienced users.

Quickswap FAQs

What is QuickSwap?

QuickSwap is a decentralised exchange and automated market maker that launched on Polygon in 2020 and now runs on several EVM chains. Users swap tokens directly from liquidity pools through a connected wallet, without an order book or a central account.

Which networks does QuickSwap support?

The homepage lists Polygon, Base, Immutable zkEVM, Manta Pacific, Soneium, MANTRA, Somnia, Ethereum and X Layer. Available features may vary by chain, so check the app after connecting your wallet.

What does it cost to trade or provide liquidity?

The homepage says liquidity providers earn a 0.25% fee on trades in proportion to their share of the pool. Other write-ups cite a 0.3% figure, so the live interface is the best source for the fee on a given pool. Network gas fees are paid separately.

What is the QUICK token for?

QUICK is the protocol's token. According to the homepage, staking it earns a share of protocol revenue. Third-party write-ups also mention a derivative token, dQUICK, from the earlier Dragon's Lair staking design.

Does QuickSwap offer leveraged trading?

The homepage advertises decentralised perpetual swaps with up to 100x leverage, powered by Orbs. High leverage can wipe out a position quickly, so it is only suited to experienced traders who understand liquidation.

Is QuickSwap safe to use?

The official site is quickswap.exchange. Public reporting shows community discussion about fake lookalike sites and a past domain hijack at a registrar, so check the address carefully, bookmark it and never share a seed phrase.
