Our verdict on SpookySwap V3

6.3/10

SpookySwap V3 suits DeFi users who already know the SpookySwap brand and want concentrated-liquidity pools, farms and BOO staking on Sonic or Fantom. Its strength is a full DEX toolkit, including a launchpad, from a long-running project. The main caveat is size: TVL is around $139,000, no audits are listed, and fee tiers are not given in the material reviewed. Treat it as a high-risk venue, size positions accordingly and verify the official site first.

What is SpookySwap V3?

SpookySwap V3 is the concentrated-liquidity DEX from the SpookySwap team, which began on Fantom. Its tracking description calls it a community-driven, trader-focused DEX and DeFi hub, with governance through the BOO token.

The V3 deployment has been listed since October 2024 and runs on Sonic, Fantom and BitTorrent chain. Its docs cover swaps, fees, concentrated liquidity, V3 farms, BOO staking and a token launchpad.

Total value locked is about $139,000, so it is a small venue. TVL rose 53% over the past week, which shows how quickly it can change. The tracking data lists no audits for this deployment.

How SpookySwap V3 works

SpookySwap V3 is an automated market maker. Instead of an order book, traders swap against pools of tokens deposited by liquidity providers. The price moves along a formula as the pool balance shifts.

The V3 design uses concentrated liquidity. Providers place capital inside a chosen price range rather than across all possible prices. Liquidity in the active range is deeper per dollar deposited, and providers earn swap fees only while the price stays inside it.

Providers can then stake their positions in V3 farms for extra rewards. The BOO token is used for governance and staking, and a launchpad can list new tokens after presales.

6 features

Key features

01

Token swaps

Users swap tokens directly from their wallets through on-chain liquidity pools, with a how-to-swap guide in the docs.

02

Concentrated liquidity

Liquidity providers choose a price range for their capital, which can improve capital efficiency compared with older full-range pools.

03

V3 farms

Liquidity positions can be staked in V3 farms to earn extra token rewards on top of trading fees.

04

BOO staking and governance

BOO holders can stake the token and take part in governance, as described in the project's docs sections on BOO.

05

Token launchpad

New tokens can be listed after a presale and seeded into a two-month official V3 farm paired with the Sonic native token.

06

Multi-chain presence

The protocol is tracked on Sonic, Fantom and BitTorrent chain, giving users several networks to trade on.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Concentrated liquidity lets liquidity providers target price ranges for better capital efficiency.
  • Runs on three networks, with Sonic the most prominent in the docs.
  • Established brand with a public GitHub, documentation and a V3 migration history.
  • Offers farms, BOO staking and a launchpad inside one interface.
  • BOO governance gives token holders a role in the protocol.

Watch out for

  • TVL is small, at about $139,000, so liquidity is thin and larger trades may see heavy price impact.
  • No audits are listed in the tracking data for this V3 deployment.
  • The TVL figure moved 53% in a week, which points to volatile liquidity.
  • Concentrated liquidity requires active range management and carries impermanent loss.
  • Fee tiers, farm rewards and BOO staking terms are not published in the material reviewed, so costs are hard to compare in advance.
  • Older SpookySwap versions and legacy farms still exist, which can confuse users on which interface to use.

SpookySwap V3 fees

SpookySwap V3 has a dedicated Fees page in its documentation, but the specific fee tiers are not reproduced in the material reviewed. As with other concentrated-liquidity DEXs, users should expect a swap fee that goes to liquidity providers, plus network gas on the chain used.

Farm reward rates and any protocol fee share are not published here. Check the swap interface for the quoted fee and price impact before confirming a trade.

Is SpookySwap V3 safe?

The tracking data lists no audits for SpookySwap V3. The material reviewed does not describe the audit history, team or bug bounty, so readers should look for them in the project's docs and GitHub before depositing significant funds.

It is a non-custodial DEX: users keep their tokens in their own wallet and approve contracts to move them. The main risks are smart-contract bugs, thin liquidity, impermanent loss and the risk of any token listed through the launchpad. Always confirm you are on the official site, as legacy and V2 interfaces also exist.

7 steps

How to get started with SpookySwap V3

  1. 1

Use a wallet that supports Sonic, Fantom or BitTorrent chain, and fund it with the native token for gas.

  2. 2

Open the official SpookySwap site and confirm the address matches the project's links before connecting.

  3. 3

Select the network and connect your wallet.

  4. 4

Read the how-to-swap guide in the docs, then pick a token pair and review the quoted fee and price impact.

  5. 5

For liquidity, choose a pool and price range, and understand impermanent loss first.

  6. 6

Stake a position in a V3 farm if you want extra rewards, and check the reward token's risk.

  7. 7

Start with a small amount while you learn the interface.

Who SpookySwap V3 is for

SpookySwap V3 fits experienced DeFi users who are comfortable managing concentrated-liquidity ranges and want exposure to the Sonic and Fantom ecosystems. It is less suited to beginners or anyone who needs deep liquidity for large trades.

SpookySwap V3 FAQs

What is SpookySwap V3?

SpookySwap V3 is the concentrated-liquidity version of SpookySwap, a decentralized exchange that started on Fantom. It lets users swap tokens, provide liquidity within chosen price ranges and earn farm rewards. It is tracked on Sonic, Fantom and BitTorrent chain.

What is the BOO token used for?

BOO is the governance token of SpookySwap. The project describes the DEX as governed by BOO, and its docs list a BOO staking feature.

Which blockchains does SpookySwap V3 support?

The tracking data lists Sonic, Fantom and BitTorrent. The documentation and public reporting most prominently mention Sonic, including its wrapped native token in launchpad farm pairs.

Is SpookySwap V3 audited?

The tracking data lists no audits for this deployment. That does not mean the code is unaudited elsewhere, but the project's audit history is not shown in the material reviewed, so check its docs and GitHub before depositing.

Is providing liquidity on SpookySwap V3 safe?

Not in a fixed way. Concentrated liquidity lets providers pick a price range, which can raise fee earnings but also increases impermanent loss and requires monitoring. Rewards from V3 farms add further token price risk.

Does SpookySwap V3 have a launchpad?

Its docs describe a launchpad where new tokens can be listed after a successful presale. A portion of the tokens seeds a two-month official V3 farm. Presale tokens are high risk and need independent research.
