Soroswap Finance Review 2026: A Stellar DEX on Soroban

Soroswap Finance is an open-source decentralized exchange on the Stellar blockchain that swaps and pools Stellar assets using Soroban smart contracts. It is a reasonable option for users already holding Stellar assets, but the project does not publish its fees or audit reports in the material we found.

By the DappsAtlas editorial team · Updated

Our verdict on Soroswap Finance

5.5/10

Soroswap Finance is a Stellar-based DEX that combines liquidity pools, a swap aggregator and an open-source codebase. Its main strength is transparency of code and documentation, and its route quotes help users compare options. The main caveat is that fees, audits and regulatory status are not published in the material we found, so the security and cost picture is incomplete. Users already holding Stellar assets and comfortable with DEX risk may find it useful. Newcomers should start with small amounts and verify contract details first.

What is Soroswap Finance?

Soroswap Finance is a decentralized exchange, or DEX, on the Stellar blockchain. It lets users swap Stellar assets and provide liquidity to pools using Soroban smart contracts. The project describes itself as an open-source AMM protocol with an SDK and a frontend for users.

The project's materials also describe a Soroswap Aggregator and a Spacewalk Bridge implementation. The aggregator is presented as a way to get quotes and route trades, including through Stellar's native SDEX order book. The bridge is referenced in the project's code and documentation.

Public information is mainly the project's own website, GitHub repositories, developer documentation and a public analytics dashboard. Independent write-ups repeat the core description of a Stellar DEX, but they add little detail on fees, governance or team.

How Soroswap Finance works

Soroswap is an automated market maker, or AMM. Instead of matching a buyer with a seller, it holds pools of two assets. A trader sends one asset to a pool and receives the other at a price set by the ratio of assets in that pool. The price moves as trades shift that ratio.

Liquidity providers deposit pairs of assets into these pools and earn a share of trading activity. The project's materials describe the AMM, an aggregator and a bridge implementation as separate parts of the system, with the aggregator looking for routes across available liquidity.

The contracts run on Soroban, Stellar's smart contract platform. Because the code is open source, developers can inspect the logic and build their own interfaces on top of it.

5 features

Key features

01

Automated market maker pools

Users trade Stellar assets against liquidity pools built with Soroban smart contracts, rather than matching orders in a central book.

02

Swap aggregator and quotes

The Soroswap Aggregator API returns quotes and routes trades, and the project says this includes routing through Stellar's SDEX.

03

Spacewalk bridge integration

The project's code references a Spacewalk Bridge implementation, which connects the protocol to assets from other networks.

04

Open-source code and SDK

Frontend, smart contract and documentation code is published on GitHub, along with an SDK for developers.

05

Public activity dashboard

A public Dune dashboard tracks Soroswap activity, so readers can check on-chain usage themselves.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Open-source code that developers and users can inspect on GitHub.
  • Built on Stellar and Soroban, a network many users already know for low transaction costs.
  • An aggregator that quotes trades and points to routing options, rather than a single pool only.
  • Public developer documentation and an SDK for building integrations.
  • A public analytics dashboard that lets readers check activity on chain.

Watch out for

  • No audit reports are published in the material available, so smart-contract risk is hard to size.
  • Fees and any protocol charges are not published in the material available.
  • The project runs only on Stellar, so it inherits that network's limits and outages.
  • Liquidity pools can lose value relative to simply holding the tokens, a risk that is not explained in the public summaries.
  • The bridge integration adds cross-chain risk on top of normal DEX risk.
  • Independent coverage is thin, so most details come from the project's own pages and code.

Soroswap Finance fees

The project does not publish a fee schedule in the material we found. Users pay Stellar network transaction costs on each action, which are generally small, but any swap or pool fee built into Soroswap should be read in the interface before a trade is confirmed.

Because fees are not stated in one place, compare the expected output and any route details shown at quote time against the amount you receive.

Is Soroswap Finance safe?

The material we found does not name a completed smart contract audit, and it does not describe the custody model in detail. Because a DEX is non-custodial, users generally keep control of their assets in their own wallets, but the smart contracts they interact with carry code risk.

Liquidity providers face additional risks, including loss from price moves between the two assets in a pool. Bridge transfers add counterparty and cross-chain risk. Check audit status and the contract addresses shown on the official site before depositing.

The project does not publish a regulatory status in the material we found. Crypto trading is regulated differently across countries, so check the rules where you live.

6 steps

How to get started with Soroswap Finance

  1. 1

Install a wallet that supports Stellar and Soroban assets.

  2. 2

Fund the wallet with the Stellar assets you plan to trade.

  3. 3

Open the official site at soroswap.finance and connect your wallet.

  4. 4

Enter the tokens and amount, then review the quote and route shown.

  5. 5

Confirm the transaction in your wallet and check the result on a block explorer.

  6. 6

If you provide liquidity, read the pool terms and understand how price moves can affect your position before depositing.

Who Soroswap Finance is for

Soroswap Finance suits people who already hold Stellar assets and want to swap them or provide liquidity without a centralized exchange. It also fits developers looking at open-source Stellar DEX code and an SDK. It is less suited to readers who need clear published fees, audit reports or a regulated product.

Soroswap Finance FAQs

What is Soroswap Finance?

Soroswap Finance is a decentralized exchange, or DEX, on the Stellar blockchain. Users can swap Stellar assets directly from their own wallets, with no central company holding their funds during a trade. Its code is published as open source.

What blockchain does Soroswap Finance run on?

Soroswap runs on Stellar, using Soroban, the smart contract platform built on that network. Its public materials describe a link to Stellar's native SDEX order book through its aggregator.

Does Soroswap Finance charge fees?

The project does not publish a fee schedule in the material we found. Network transaction costs on Stellar apply to each action, and any pool or swap fee should be checked in the interface before you confirm a trade.

Has Soroswap Finance been audited?

The material we found does not name a completed audit or link to audit reports. Treat the smart contracts as unaudited until you can verify an audit yourself, and only use amounts you can afford to lose.

Is it legal to use Soroswap Finance?

Gambling-style risk does not apply here, but crypto trading and liquidity provision carry real financial risk, including loss of value. Check that crypto trading is legal where you live before using any DEX.
