ActiveSkydrome Review 2026: A ve(3,3) DEX on Scroll
Skydrome is a ve(3,3) decentralized exchange on the Scroll network, launched in late 2023. Liquidity is now very small, so treat it as a high-risk, niche venue.

Our verdict on Skydrome
4.0/10Skydrome suits readers who want to study an early ve(3,3) exchange on Scroll or who already hold SKY and understand veSKY locking. Its strength is a clear, established incentive design with governance through locked tokens. The main caveat is scale: about $49,900 in TVL, almost no trading volume and no listed audits make it a high-risk, illiquid venue. Fees are not published. Anyone using it should keep amounts small, verify the contracts and prefer deeper venues for meaningful trades.

What is Skydrome?
Skydrome is a decentralized exchange on the Scroll network. It describes itself as the first ve(3,3) exchange on Scroll, built to serve liquidity providers, traders and protocols through a vote-escrowed token model.
The protocol was listed in October 2023 and launched with a pre-mining campaign for its SKY token. That campaign ran from October 12 to November 2, 2023, with a pool of 1,500,000 SKY, described as 1.5% of the total supply. Coverage in early 2024 presented it as a new ve(3,3) DEX in Scroll's DeFi scene.
Activity today looks very small. Total value locked is about $49,900, down roughly 0.9% over the past week, and one price tracker shows a SKY price around $0.00005 with about $1 of 24-hour volume. The protocol has no audits listed. Anyone considering it should treat it as a low-liquidity, high-risk venue.
How Skydrome works
A decentralized exchange lets people swap tokens directly from their wallets using liquidity pools instead of an order book. Liquidity providers deposit pairs of tokens into pools and traders swap against them.
The ve(3,3) model adds a voting layer. Holders lock the SKY token to receive veSKY, which gives governance rights. Voters decide which pools receive token emissions, and in this design they typically receive a share of the fees from the pools they back. Liquidity providers earn emissions as an incentive to supply liquidity.
The aim is to align traders, liquidity providers and projects that want deeper liquidity for their own tokens. The model works best when there is real trading volume and active voters. With very low volume, rewards depend mostly on emissions rather than fees.
5 features
Key features
01
ve(3,3) model
Skydrome follows the ve(3,3) design, combining vote-escrowed tokens with incentive-driven liquidity pools.
02
veSKY locking
Holders lock SKY to receive veSKY, which carries governance rights and a say in where emissions go.
03
Liquidity pools
Users can provide liquidity to pools and manage or withdraw their positions from the app's liquidity page.
04
Protocol and DAO focus
The protocol describes itself as serving LPs, traders and other protocols, including DAOs that want to direct liquidity.
05
Scroll-native DEX
Skydrome was built as an early ve(3,3) exchange on Scroll, an Ethereum layer-2 network, and is listed as running only there.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear ve(3,3) design with veSKY locking that gives holders governance over reward direction.
- Native to Scroll, an Ethereum layer-2 network, so gas costs are typically lower than on Ethereum mainnet.
- Pre-mining allocation of 1.5% of the supply was publicly stated at launch.
- Liquidity management, including withdrawals, is handled through a dedicated liquidity page in the app.
- Has been listed since October 2023, so it has some track record rather than being brand new.
Watch out for
- Total value locked is only about $49,900, so liquidity is very thin and large trades will move prices.
- The SKY token trades at a tiny price with roughly $1 in 24-hour volume on one price tracker, so selling or exiting positions may be hard.
- No security audits are listed for the protocol.
- Fees, emission schedule and team details are not published on the homepage.
- The ve(3,3) model depends on ongoing token emissions and voter activity, which is hard to sustain at low volume.
- It runs on Scroll only, so it is not useful for trading on other chains.
Skydrome fees
Skydrome does not publish a fee schedule on its homepage. Swap fees, if any, would appear in the trading interface for each pair before you confirm a trade. You would also pay Scroll network gas for swaps and liquidity actions.
In ve(3,3) exchanges, trading fees usually go to voters who direct emissions to a pool, while liquidity providers earn token emissions. Whether Skydrome follows this split exactly is not stated, so check the app before depositing.
Is Skydrome safe?
No security audits are listed for Skydrome, and the homepage does not publish audit reports, team details or a bug bounty. That leaves smart-contract risk unquantified. As a non-custodial DEX, your tokens stay in your wallet until you deposit them into a pool or lock them, but deposited funds are exposed to contract bugs.
With under $50,000 in total value locked and negligible volume, liquidity risk is high. Prices can move sharply on small trades, and SKY may be hard to sell. Impermanent loss applies to liquidity providers. Verify contract addresses and use only the official site. No public source indicates a hack or a shutdown, but low activity suggests the project may be largely dormant.
6 steps
How to get started with Skydrome
- 1
Confirm you are on the official site and that the app address matches the one linked from it.
- 2
Set up a wallet that supports Scroll and bridge a small amount of ETH to the network for gas.
- 3
Check the token and pool addresses and look at the pool's liquidity before trading.
- 4
Start with a small swap and compare the price impact against another venue.
- 5
If you want rewards, add liquidity to a pool and note how to withdraw before depositing.
- 6
Consider locking SKY as veSKY only after you understand the lock terms and the token's thin market.
Who Skydrome is for
Skydrome is for experienced DeFi users who are comfortable with liquidity pools, vote-escrow tokens and small unaudited protocols on Scroll. It is not suited to newcomers, people who need deep liquidity, or anyone who cannot afford to lose what they deposit.
Skydrome FAQs
What is Skydrome?
Skydrome is a decentralized exchange built on the Scroll network. It uses the ve(3,3) model, where token holders lock SKY to get voting power over how rewards are directed to liquidity pools.
Which blockchain does Skydrome use?
It runs on Scroll, an Ethereum layer-2 network. No other chains are listed for it.
What is the SKY token for?
SKY is the protocol's token. Holders can lock it as veSKY to gain governance rights and take part in voting on pool rewards. SKY is also what liquidity providers earn as incentives under the ve(3,3) design.
What are Skydrome's fees?
Not from what is published. The project does not state its swap fees on the homepage. Users would see the exact fee for a pair in the trading interface before confirming a swap.
Is Skydrome safe?
No audits are listed for it, and total value locked is very small at about $49,900. Smart-contract bugs, thin liquidity and token price risk all apply. Only use funds you can afford to lose and check the contracts yourself.
How did the SKY token launch?
It began with a pre-mining campaign running October 12 to November 2, 2023, with a pool of 1,500,000 SKY, described as 1.5% of the total supply. Public airdrop guides at the time pointed users to the liquidity page of the app.
