MIM Swap Review 2026: Abracadabra's MIM Stableswap AMM
MIM Swap is the stableswap AMM built by Abracadabra to hold liquidity for its MIM stablecoin. Reports of a MIM depeg and a proposed Abracadabra wind-down make it a high-risk venue.

Our verdict on MIM Swap
2.5/10MIM Swap is a small stableswap AMM that Abracadabra built to support liquidity for its MIM stablecoin. The design is sound for pegged assets, but it depends entirely on MIM holding its value. Reports of a deep MIM depeg and a proposed Abracadabra wind-down make it unsuitable for anyone seeking stability. Only experienced DeFi users who understand depeg and smart-contract risk, and who have verified the project's current status, should consider it. Everyone else should look at deeper, audited stableswap venues.

What is MIM Swap?
MIM Swap is a decentralized exchange built by Abracadabra, the lending protocol behind the MIM (Magic Internet Money) stablecoin. The project describes it as an in-house stableswap AMM that offers liquidity providers yield while improving Abracadabra's own efficiency. It was listed in April 2024 and is available on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Kava, Nibiru and Blast.
Its scale is small. Tracked TVL is about $43,555, and it fell roughly 13.9% over the latest seven days. It has no token of its own and lists no audits.
The broader Abracadabra picture matters here. Public reporting report a roughly $13 million exploit of Abracadabra in March 2025, described as its second major incident that year. They also report MIM falling more than 50% below its $1 peg in June 2026, followed by an emergency plan. A September 2026 report says Abracadabra proposed shutting down and paying MIM holders roughly four cents on the dollar. Those reports concern the wider protocol, and the information available does not say how MIM Swap pools were affected. A stableswap built around MIM is directly exposed to that stablecoin's fate.
How MIM Swap works
MIM Swap is an automated market maker, or AMM. Instead of an order book, users trade against pools of tokens that liquidity providers have deposited. Prices come from a formula based on the pool's balances.
It uses a stableswap design, which is built for assets that should trade close to one another, such as stablecoins. The formula keeps the price flat near parity, so a swap between two pegged assets loses less to slippage than in a standard pool. If one asset drifts far from its peg, though, the pool becomes lopsided and providers can end up holding mostly the weaker asset.
Liquidity providers deposit tokens and receive a share of the pool, along with the yield the project advertises. Abracadabra built the AMM in house to support MIM, its stablecoin, so pool health is closely tied to MIM holding its value.
5 features
Key features
01
Stableswap AMM design
MIM Swap is a stableswap AMM, a design for assets meant to trade near the same price. This usually gives lower slippage than a standard constant-product pool for pegged pairs.
02
Liquidity provider yield
The project says liquidity providers can earn yield from the pools. The size of that yield is not published and depends on trading volume and pool composition.
03
Multi-chain deployment
MIM Swap is listed on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Kava, Nibiru and Blast, which spreads MIM liquidity across several networks.
04
Built for MIM liquidity
The project describes itself as Abracadabra's in-house AMM, meant to improve the protocol's efficiency in managing MIM liquidity.
05
Part of Abracadabra app
The swap interface sits inside the Abracadabra web app, so users reach it through the same site as the lending side of the protocol.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Stableswap design suits pegged-asset trading and can reduce slippage when the peg holds.
- Available on five networks: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Kava, Nibiru and Blast.
- No project token is needed to use it.
- Sits inside the Abracadabra app, alongside the protocol's other tools.
Watch out for
- Tracked TVL is only about $43,555, so liquidity is very thin and large swaps could move prices.
- Pool value depends on the MIM stablecoin, which public reporting report fell far below its $1 peg in June 2026.
- Abracadabra has reportedly proposed winding itself down, with MIM holders paid out at roughly four cents.
- The parent protocol had a reported $13 million exploit in March 2025, described as its second major incident that year.
- No audits are listed for MIM Swap and no token is associated with it.
- Tracked TVL fell about 13.9% over the latest seven days.
MIM Swap fees
MIM Swap does not publish a fee schedule in the information available. Swap fees and the split paid to liquidity providers would be shown in the pool interface in the Abracadabra app before a transaction is confirmed.
On top of any protocol fee, users pay network gas on the chain they use. Ethereum is usually the most expensive of the listed networks, and the others are typically cheaper. Low pool liquidity can also add slippage that costs more than the headline fee.
Is MIM Swap safe?
No audits are listed for MIM Swap. The pools are non-custodial in the usual DeFi sense, so users keep their keys, but deposited funds sit in smart contracts that can have bugs or be exploited.
The parent protocol's record raises the risk level. Public reporting report a $13 million exploit in March 2025 that followed another major incident that year. They also report a MIM depeg of more than 50% in June 2026 and a September 2026 proposal to wind down Abracadabra with MIM holders paid roughly four cents. Treat any exposure to MIM as high risk and confirm the project's current status before depositing.
This is not financial advice. Check that using DeFi protocols is legal in your jurisdiction.
7 steps
How to get started with MIM Swap
- 1
Confirm the current status of MIM and of Abracadabra through its official channels, given the reported depeg and wind-down proposal.
- 2
Check that online DeFi activity is legal where you live and that you meet any local age and compliance requirements.
- 3
Set up a self-custody wallet that supports the chain you plan to use, such as Ethereum or Arbitrum.
- 4
Fund the wallet with the assets you want to swap, plus a small amount of the native token for gas.
- 5
Open the Abracadabra app and find the MIM Swap pools, then review pool size, fees and listed yield.
- 6
Start with a small test swap and check the quoted slippage before moving larger amounts.
- 7
If you consider providing liquidity, read the risks of impermanent loss and stablecoin depeg first.
Who MIM Swap is for
MIM Swap suits experienced DeFi users who already hold MIM or follow Abracadabra and want to understand or exit MIM positions. It is not a fit for beginners, for people who want stable yield, or for anyone who is unwilling to accept depeg and smart-contract risk.
MIM Swap FAQs
What is MIM Swap?
MIM Swap is a stableswap automated market maker built in-house by Abracadabra. It lets users swap between closely priced assets, mainly around the MIM stablecoin, and lets liquidity providers earn yield from those swaps.
Which blockchains does MIM Swap run on?
The project lists Ethereum, Arbitrum, Kava, Nibiru and Blast. Which pools are live on each chain is not stated in the published information.
Is MIM still pegged to the dollar?
Public reporting report that MIM fell more than 50% below its $1 peg in June 2026. A later report from September 2026 says Abracadabra proposed winding down and paying MIM holders roughly four cents. Check the current status in official channels before using any MIM pool.
Does MIM Swap have its own token?
No. Tracked data shows no token for MIM Swap itself. MIM is the stablecoin it is built around, and Abracadabra has a separate token called SPELL.
Is providing liquidity on MIM Swap risky?
Yes, there are several risks. These include smart-contract risk, exposure to a stablecoin that has reportedly lost its peg, impermanent loss in pools, and very low liquidity. No audits are listed for the project.
What are the fees on MIM Swap?
The project does not publish fee figures in the information available. Swap fees and pool yields should appear in the pool interface on the Abracadabra app before you confirm a transaction.
