Our verdict on Laminar
Laminar is a DEX aggregator on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM whose team says active development has been discontinued. It is only relevant now for liquidity providers who still need to withdraw funds through the Manage Liquidity page. New users have little reason to start here: TVL is tiny, there is no token and promised routing features were never confirmed as delivered. Choose an actively maintained alternative, and treat any leftover Laminar balance as something to clear out soon.

What is Laminar?
Laminar was a liquidity engine and swap aggregator built for Hyperliquid's HyperEVM. DefiLlama lists it as a DEX on the Hyperliquid chain, and it has been tracked since April 2025. The listing describes it as connecting liquidity on both HyperEVM and HyperCore to provide simply and optimally priced swaps.
The homepage now carries a notice that active development of the Laminar DEX has been discontinued. It tells anyone with liquidity to withdraw it from Manage Liquidity. This is a wind-down, not a growth story.
DefiLlama shows total value locked of about $110,595, up 6.3% over seven days, with no token and two audits listed. That is a very small footprint. The homepage still describes features like HYPE-converted revenue and L1 orderbook routing, but those descriptions should be read as historical or aspirational.
How Laminar works
A DEX aggregator checks several liquidity sources and routes a swap to give the user a good price. Laminar described itself as a liquidity engine and aggregator that connected liquidity on HyperEVM, the smart-contract environment of Hyperliquid, and HyperCore, its native trading layer.
Liquidity providers deposited tokens into pools and earned rewards from trading activity. The homepage said 100% of protocol revenue from trading fees was converted to HYPE, with reserves supporting the Hyperliquid ecosystem. It also advertised order routing using the L1 orderbook, labelled as coming soon.
That roadmap is now in doubt. The site states active development has been discontinued, so the practical function today is letting liquidity providers pull out their funds.
5 features
Key features
01
Liquidity aggregation
Laminar aimed to connect liquidity across HyperEVM and HyperCore to offer simple, well-priced swaps.
02
Liquidity provision
Users could provide liquidity on HyperEVM and earn rewards, according to the homepage.
03
HYPE revenue model
The site said 100% of protocol revenue from trading fees would be converted to HYPE, with reserves used to support the Hyperliquid ecosystem.
04
Planned smart routing
L1 orderbook-enabled best-price routing was advertised as coming soon. Given the discontinuation notice, it should not be assumed to be available.
05
Withdrawal path
The homepage points liquidity providers to a Manage Liquidity page to withdraw their funds.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear notice on the homepage about the discontinuation
- A stated withdrawal route for liquidity providers
- Two audits are listed on DefiLlama
- Documentation, GitHub and audit links are provided on the site
- No token, so no token-price exposure
Watch out for
- Active development of the DEX has been discontinued, so no new features or support should be expected
- TVL is only about $110,595, which points to very thin liquidity
- The planned L1 orderbook best-price routing was marked 'coming soon' and may never ship
- No native token, so there is no governance or incentive layer to fall back on
- Fee levels and reward terms are not published
- Remaining smart-contract risk on a protocol that is no longer actively developed
Laminar fees
Swap fees and liquidity-provider fee splits are not published publicly available for this review. The homepage says all protocol revenue from trading fees is converted to HYPE, but it does not give the fee rate.
Because the DEX is no longer in active development, the main cost to consider is the network gas for withdrawing. Check the interface and the linked docs for any current fee details.
Is Laminar safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits, and the site links to audit reports, but the project does not name the auditors or what they covered. Audits reduce risk but do not remove it. A protocol that is no longer developed will not get patches if a new vulnerability appears.
Liquidity providers hold positions in smart contracts and should treat leftover funds as at risk. No hacks or incidents appear. Use only the official site to withdraw, and be careful with approvals and with lookalike sites. Regulatory status is not stated.
6 steps
How to get started with Laminar
- 1
Confirm you are on the official Laminar site and read the discontinuation notice on the homepage.
- 2
Connect the wallet that holds your liquidity position.
- 3
Open the Manage Liquidity page and review your positions.
- 4
Withdraw your liquidity and confirm the transaction in your wallet.
- 5
Check that the funds arrived, and revoke any token approvals you no longer need.
- 6
Move to an actively maintained HyperEVM DEX if you still want to swap or provide liquidity.
Who Laminar is for
This page is mostly for existing Laminar liquidity providers who need to know the project's status and how to exit. It is not aimed at new traders or yield seekers, who are better served by actively developed HyperEVM venues.
Laminar FAQs
Is Laminar still active?
Its homepage states that active development of the Laminar DEX has been discontinued. The site still runs, and it tells liquidity providers they can withdraw from the Manage Liquidity page.
How do I withdraw my liquidity from Laminar?
Open the Manage Liquidity section on the official site, connect the wallet you used to deposit, and remove your position. Check the URL carefully first, since lookalike sites are common with wound-down protocols.
What did Laminar do?
Laminar was described as a liquidity engine and aggregator that connected liquidity on HyperEVM and HyperCore to give optimally priced swaps. It also let users provide liquidity and earn rewards.
Does Laminar have a token?
No. DefiLlama lists the token as none, and the homepage does not mention a Laminar token. The revenue model it described converted protocol trading-fee revenue to HYPE.
Which blockchain does Laminar run on?
DefiLlama lists Laminar on Hyperliquid, specifically the HyperEVM environment, with some routing involving HyperCore.
Has Laminar been audited?
Not as far as public sources show. DefiLlama lists two audits, and the homepage links to an audits page. Read those reports yourself, and keep in mind that an audit does not remove risk, especially for a project that has stopped development.
