Our verdict on Kittenswap AMM
5.5/10Kittenswap suits DeFi users already active on HyperEVM who understand ve(3,3) mechanics and want to earn fees and bribes by locking KITTEN and voting. Its main strength is a clear loop that rewards lockers with 100% of fees and bribes from the pools they back. The main caveats are small liquidity, very high APRs that depend on emissions, paused emissions during the codebase transition, and an audit claim with no named auditor. Start small and verify contracts first.

What is Kittenswap AMM?
Kittenswap is a decentralized exchange for HyperEVM that also lists support for Robinhood. It follows the ve(3,3) model, in which token holders lock the native token, vote on emissions, and collect trading fees and bribes from the pools they back. The project describes itself as community owned.
The tracker lists the main AMM deployment with under $1M in TVL on HyperEVM, while the homepage reports about $3.0M across both chains, $1.2M in 24-hour volume and 286 pools. Its token is KITTEN, and the product has been listed since March 2025.
Top pools on the homepage show APRs from the hundreds to over 20,000 percent. These figures come from emissions spread over small pools and should be read as incentive math, not stable yield. Public reporting also show a notice on the legacy dashboards that Kittenswap is moving to a new DEX codebase, with emissions paused until then.
How Kittenswap AMM works
Kittenswap uses the ve(3,3) design popularized by earlier DEXs. Liquidity providers deposit token pairs into pools and earn KITTEN emissions. Traders swap against those pools and pay fees.
Holders lock KITTEN to mint veKITTEN, which carries voting power. Each weekly epoch, lockers vote on which pools receive that week's emissions. Voters then collect 100% of the trading fees and any bribes paid to the pools they backed, plus a share of emissions. Projects that want liquidity can pay bribes to attract votes, which in turn attract liquidity providers.
The homepage describes this as a loop that repeats every epoch. Kitten Academy adds extra veKITTEN and HYPE rewards for lockers. The legacy dashboards say the project is moving to a new DEX codebase and that emissions are paused until the transition is done.
7 features
Key features
01
Multi-chain token swaps
Token swaps routed through liquidity pools on HyperEVM and Robinhood. The homepage lists 286 pools.
02
Liquidity provision
Users deposit token pairs into pools and earn swap fees and KITTEN emissions. Pools include HYPE paired with stablecoins and KITTEN.
03
veKITTEN voting
Locking KITTEN mints veKITTEN, which gives voting power over which pools receive emissions each weekly epoch.
04
Fees and bribes to voters
Voters collect 100% of the trading fees and bribes from the pools they back, so projects can pay for votes to attract liquidity.
05
Kitten Academy rewards
A rewards program for lockers that distributes veKITTEN and HYPE each epoch.
06
Concentrated liquidity
Alongside standard pools, the project runs a concentrated liquidity product. Both are being moved to a new DEX codebase.
07
Points leaderboard
A points leaderboard operated with a third-party incentive platform tracks participants, with over 1,800 listed.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear ve(3,3) design: lockers vote on emissions and collect 100% of the fees and bribes from the pools they back.
- Live on HyperEVM, with Robinhood support listed on the homepage.
- Wide pool selection, with 286 pools reported, including HYPE pairs against stablecoins.
- Homepage reports roughly $1.2M of 24-hour volume.
- Docs, an academy rewards program and a points leaderboard give users several ways to participate.
- Contracts are said to be verifiable on-chain.
Watch out for
- Very small TVL on the tracked listing (under $1M), so large swaps may face slippage.
- Headline pool APRs of several thousand percent come from emissions on thin liquidity and are unlikely to last.
- Emissions on the legacy dashboards are paused during a move to a new DEX codebase, so rewards and contracts may change.
- The audit claim is not backed by a named auditor or report, and no audits are listed by the tracker.
- The KITTEN token is small and illiquid, and ve(3,3) rewards depend heavily on token price and ongoing incentives.
- Team, fee tiers and licensing or regulatory details are not published on the homepage.
Kittenswap AMM fees
Kittenswap does not publish a swap fee schedule on its homepage. Fee tiers are set per pool and are shown in the app when you pick a pool. The homepage reports about $810 in 24-hour fees on roughly $1.2M of 24-hour volume.
The fee model is ve(3,3): trading fees go to the veKITTEN holders who voted for that pool, not to liquidity providers directly. Providers earn KITTEN emissions instead. Network gas on HyperEVM or Robinhood applies to every transaction, and slippage can be meaningful in thinner pools.
Is Kittenswap AMM safe?
The homepage says the core contracts are audited and built on the ve(3,3) architecture. It does not name an auditor or share a report, and the tracker lists no audits for this deployment. Treat the audit claim as unverified until you find the report in the docs.
As a non-custodial DEX, Kittenswap does not hold your funds in an account, but you carry smart-contract risk, impermanent loss in pools, and the risk that incentive-driven liquidity leaves when emissions drop. The planned move to a new DEX codebase adds migration risk, and any new contracts should be checked before you approve or deposit.
The team and regulatory status are not published on the homepage. No hacks or incidents appear. Only use funds you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Kittenswap AMM
- 1
Check that using a decentralized exchange is permitted where you live and that you understand the risks of providing liquidity.
- 2
Set up a wallet that supports HyperEVM or Robinhood and fund it with the network's gas token.
- 3
Open the Kittenswap app, connect the wallet and select the chain you want to use.
- 4
Start with a small swap on a deep pool, such as HYPE against a stablecoin, to see pricing and slippage before committing more.
- 5
To earn, deposit into a pool, or lock KITTEN to get veKITTEN and vote each weekly epoch.
- 6
Read the docs and the announcement about the DEX codebase transition before depositing, since emissions and contracts may change.
Who Kittenswap AMM is for
Kittenswap is for experienced DeFi users on HyperEVM who are comfortable with liquidity pools, token locking and weekly voting. It is not suited to beginners who want a simple, deep-liquidity swap venue, or to anyone who cannot tolerate incentive-driven yields that may fall quickly.
Kittenswap AMM FAQs
What is Kittenswap?
Kittenswap is a decentralized exchange built on the ve(3,3) model. It runs on HyperEVM and, according to its homepage, on Robinhood as well. Users can swap tokens, provide liquidity and vote with locked KITTEN.
What is veKITTEN?
veKITTEN is the voting power you receive by locking KITTEN. Each weekly epoch, lockers vote on which pools get emissions. The project says voters collect 100% of the trading fees and bribes from the pools they vote for, plus a share of emissions.
How do you earn on Kittenswap?
There are two routes. You can provide liquidity to a pool and earn swap fees and KITTEN emissions, or you can lock KITTEN, vote, and collect fees and bribes. Kitten Academy also sends veKITTEN and HYPE rewards to lockers each epoch.
Is Kittenswap audited?
The homepage says the core contracts are audited and that the code is verifiable on-chain. It does not name an auditor or link a report, and the tracker lists no audits. Read the docs and check for a report before depositing.
Are the very high APRs real?
Not necessarily. The pool APRs shown reflect weekly KITTEN emissions divided by a small amount of liquidity, and they move with votes, token price and TVL. Emissions on the legacy dashboards are also paused while the project moves to a new DEX codebase.
Which chains does Kittenswap support?
The tracker data shows the main listing on HyperEVM, while the homepage says the DEX is live on both HyperEVM and Robinhood. You switch chains inside the app to use either network.
