Goldilocks Review 2026: Price-Floor AMM on Berachain

Goldilocks DAO builds DeFi infrastructure on Berachain, including an AMM with price floors and NFT lending. Its on-chain footprint is small, so treat it as an early-stage experiment.

Our verdict on Goldilocks

Goldilocks suits experienced DeFi users on Berachain who want to explore an unconventional AMM with price floors and interest-free, unliquidatable loans. Its main strength is the distinct design and an identifiable product suite with listed audits. The main caveat is scale: TVL is about half a million dollars, LOCKS trades with very little volume, and fees and loan terms are not public reviewed. Read the docs closely and size any position accordingly.

What is Goldilocks?

Goldilocks DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization building DeFi infrastructure for Berachain. Search descriptions list Goldiswap, an AMM that sets up-only price floors, and Goldilend, an NFT lending platform, as its main products. Its token is LOCKS.

DefiLlama tracks it under the Yield category, with a one-line description of DeFi infrastructure on Berachain. It has been listed since February 2025, and total value locked is about $527,000, essentially flat over the last seven days.

The homepage itself carries almost no explanatory text, so the clearest descriptions come from the documentation and third-party summaries. Market data shows LOCKS at roughly one cent with very small daily volume, which points to a small and thinly traded project.

How Goldilocks works

Goldilocks DAO describes a suite of connected DeFi products on Berachain. The first is Goldiswap, an AMM, which is a smart contract that lets users trade tokens against a pool instead of an order book. Unlike a standard AMM, Goldiswap is said to govern the supply, price and behavior of LOCKS and to create price floors that only rise.

The second piece is lending. The project says its design supports native, interest-free loans that cannot be liquidated, which differs from typical overcollateralized lending where a price drop can trigger liquidation. How this is achieved, and what the trade-offs are, is not spelled out, so it should be checked in the documentation.

Goldilend is a separate NFT lending platform in the same ecosystem. LOCKS is the governance token, so holders can take part in decisions about the DAO.

6 features

Key features

01

Goldiswap AMM

An automated market maker that, per its description, governs the supply, price and behavior of LOCKS and creates price floors that only move up.

02

Interest-free loans

Loans are described as native, interest-free and unliquidatable, meaning borrowers are not liquidated if prices fall, according to the project's wording.

03

Goldilend NFT lending

An NFT lending platform listed as part of the Goldilocks suite on Berachain.

04

LOCKS governance token

LOCKS is the DAO's governance token, giving holders a role in how the protocol develops.

05

Berachain-native design

The protocol is built specifically for Berachain, a high-performance EVM chain, and describes itself as custom DeFi infrastructure for that ecosystem.

06

Listed audits

DefiLlama lists two audits for the project, though the details are not public.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Clear focus on one ecosystem, Berachain, with a defined product suite of an AMM and NFT lending.
  • Novel design goals: price floors that only rise and interest-free loans without liquidation.
  • Two audits are listed on DefiLlama.
  • A governance token, LOCKS, gives holders a role in the DAO.
  • Public documentation (GoldiDocs) exists to explain the components.

Watch out for

  • TVL is small, about $527,000 on DefiLlama, so the protocol has little depth and little proof of sustained demand.
  • LOCKS trading volume in the search snippets is tiny, in the tens of dollars per day, so exiting a position could be hard.
  • Fees, loan terms and price-floor parameters are not public we reviewed, so costs cannot be judged.
  • Its homepage is minimal, so users must rely on the separate docs and third-party write-ups to understand the products.
  • It runs only on Berachain, a young chain, which adds chain-level and ecosystem risk.
  • The price-floor and unliquidatable-loan mechanics are unusual designs, and the project does not explain how they hold up under stress.

Goldilocks fees

Fees are not published publicly we reviewed. That covers swap fees on Goldiswap, borrowing or origination costs on Goldilend, and any protocol cut.

The project describes its loans as interest-free, but that does not mean there are no costs. Users should check the official docs and the app's confirmation screens for swap fees, loan setup fees and Berachain gas costs before transacting.

Is Goldilocks safe?

DefiLlama lists two audits, but the project does not say who performed them or what they found. Smart-contract risk remains, especially for unusual mechanisms such as price floors and unliquidatable loans, which have less track record than standard AMMs and lending markets.

Users keep custody of assets through their own wallets, but funds interact with smart contracts on Berachain. Low TVL and very thin LOCKS liquidity increase price and exit risk. Public sources mention no hacks or incidents, and no regulatory status is given. This is not financial advice; do your own research.

6 steps

How to get started with Goldilocks

  1. 1

Read the official docs (GoldiDocs) to understand Goldiswap, Goldilend and how LOCKS works.

  2. 2

Set up a wallet that supports Berachain and add the network.

  3. 3

Fund the wallet with BERA for gas, plus any assets you plan to use.

  4. 4

Start with a small amount and review the fees and terms shown in the app before approving.

  5. 5

Check the listed audits and the official links for yourself before depositing meaningful funds.

  6. 6

Monitor your position and the LOCKS market, since liquidity is thin.

Who Goldilocks is for

Goldilocks is for experienced DeFi users already active on Berachain who are comfortable with experimental mechanisms and thin liquidity. It is not suited to beginners or anyone who needs easy, low-risk exits.

Goldilocks FAQs

What is Goldilocks DAO?

Goldilocks DAO is a decentralized autonomous organization building interconnected DeFi products on Berachain. Search descriptions name Goldiswap, an AMM, and Goldilend, an NFT lending platform, as core components.

What is the LOCKS token?

LOCKS is the DAO's governance token, according to the project's documentation snippet. Public reporting shows it trading around one cent with very low daily volume.

Which blockchain does Goldilocks run on?

Goldilocks is listed only on Berachain. DefiLlama shows it there since February 2025.

What are the price floors and unliquidatable loans?

The project describes Goldiswap as creating up-only price floors and native interest-free, unliquidatable loans. We have not tested this, and no fee schedule or parameters appear, so read the official docs before committing funds.

Is Goldilocks audited?

DefiLlama lists two audits for the project, but the project does not name the auditors or findings. An audit lowers some risk but does not remove smart-contract, market or liquidity risk.

Is Goldilocks safe to use?

There is real risk. TVL is roughly half a million dollars, LOCKS volume is very thin, and the design is novel. Only commit money you can afford to lose and do your own research.
