## What is Symbiosis (SIS)?

Symbiosis is a cross-chain swap and bridge protocol. It is designed to route token exchanges between blockchain networks, combining liquidity so users can swap assets across chains without manually arranging each step. The project describes its service as non-custodial: users retain control of their funds during a swap. Symbiosis says its protocol supports more than 50 networks, including Bitcoin, Solana and TON, as well as EVM networks.

SIS is the protocol’s token. It is not listed as the native token of a blockchain. Instead, it is associated with Symbiosis governance and protocol operations. SIS has been issued on Ethereum, zkSync Era, Scroll, Robinhood Chain, Arbitrum, Linea and BNB Chain. The token’s role is separate from the cross-chain swap service itself: using Symbiosis does not necessarily require holding SIS, and token availability or functionality can vary by network.

## What is SIS used for?

SIS was designed to support governance of the Symbiosis Protocol DAO and its treasury. In principle, governance gives token holders a way to participate in decisions about protocol resources and development, though the exact voting process and the scope of proposals can change. Check current DAO rules before assuming that holding SIS provides a particular voting right.

Project descriptions also associate SIS with staking. Searchable token descriptions say that relayer network operators stake SIS to participate in processing swaps, and that veSIS staking and rewards have been part of the token’s intended uses. These are protocol-specific functions, not a guarantee of a particular yield or reward. Staking can involve lock-up conditions, technical requirements and smart-contract risks. The protocol’s swap and bridge functions are distinct from these token uses: SIS is not itself a cross-chain transfer, and holding it does not mean that a user’s assets are protected from transaction or bridge failures.

## SIS supply and networks

SIS has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. At the time of the figures available for this page, approximately 97 million were circulating, out of a total supply of about 99.5 million. Circulating and total supply figures can change as tokens are released, moved or reclassified, so treat these as a snapshot rather than fixed values.

As of 2026-11-05, SIS traded at about $0.0175, with a market capitalization and fully diluted valuation of roughly $1.7 million each. These are approximate, time-sensitive market figures, not a measure of future value. SIS had previously reached a recorded high of $5.59 on 2022-01-16 and a low of about $0.0119 on 2026-02-06. Historical prices do not establish what the token may be worth later. The listed issuance networks are Ethereum, zkSync Era, Scroll, Robinhood Chain, Arbitrum, Linea and BNB Chain; confirm the correct network and token contract before transferring.

## Risks and storage

SIS holders face the usual crypto-market risks, including sharp price changes, low liquidity and the possibility of losing some or all of their funds. Governance or staking utility does not guarantee demand, rewards or token value. Protocol risks also matter: cross-chain swaps depend on smart contracts, liquidity, relayers and the networks involved. A non-custodial design can reduce reliance on a central custodian, but it does not remove the possibility of bugs, exploits, failed transactions or loss during a bridge operation.

To store SIS, use a wallet that supports the specific blockchain and token standard on which your tokens are held. Check the network and verified contract details using Symbiosis’s official channels before adding a token or sending funds; a similarly named token or a transfer on the wrong network may not arrive as expected. Protect your recovery phrase and never share it. If you stake SIS, review the lock-up, withdrawal and reward terms, along with the contract risks, before committing tokens. This information is educational, not a recommendation to buy, sell or stake SIS.

By the numbers

Symbiosis in numbers

Symbiosis (SIS) is ranked #2,572 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $1.62M and a price of $0.0167 as of Nov 7, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($1.67M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.

The price was down 1.0% over 7 days, down 0.4% over 30 days, down 67.2% over the past year. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $5.59, set on Jan 16, 2022.

About 96.97M SIS are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100M (97% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $52.1K, or 3.2% of its market cap: moderate turnover.

SIS has token contracts on 7 chains we track, including Ethereum, zkSync Era, Scroll, Robinhood Chain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

SIS is linked to Symbiosis, which we cover in our Cross Chain Bridge rankings. See our Symbiosis page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

SIS FAQs

What is SIS used for?

SIS is associated with governance of the Symbiosis Protocol DAO and treasury. Project descriptions also identify staking uses connected with relayers and veSIS, though terms and availability can change.

What is the maximum supply of SIS?

SIS has a maximum supply of 100 million tokens. Approximately 97 million were circulating and about 99.5 million were in total supply in the figures available for this page; supply metrics can change.

Which networks support SIS?

SIS has been issued on Ethereum, zkSync Era, Scroll, Robinhood Chain, Arbitrum, Linea and BNB Chain. Check the exact network and token contract before making a transfer, since availability can differ across networks.

Is SIS a native blockchain coin?

No. SIS is not listed as the native token of a blockchain. It is a token associated with the Symbiosis protocol and is issued on several networks.

How do I store SIS safely?

Use a wallet that supports the network where your SIS is held, and verify the token contract and network before sending or receiving. Keep your recovery phrase private and review any staking terms and smart-contract risks.

What is the market cap of Symbiosis?

As of Nov 7, 2026, Symbiosis had a market cap of about $1.62M, ranking #2,572 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
