What Stargate Finance is
Stargate Finance is a DeFi protocol built to move assets between blockchains. Its own project description calls it a composable native asset bridge with unified liquidity and instant guaranteed finality. In plain terms, users deposit assets into pools on different networks, and the protocol uses that pooled liquidity so value can move from one chain to another. Public descriptions of the project also point to fast stablecoin swaps routed across chains. The 'instant guaranteed finality' claim is the project's own wording, so readers should check current documentation before relying on it. STG is the token tied to this protocol. It is not the native coin of any single blockchain, since the token data we hold lists no native chain for it.
What the STG token is used for
According to public descriptions, STG is the native utility and governance token of the Stargate protocol. Holders can take part in governance, which means voting on the direction of the platform's development through StargateDAO. Public material also says STG can be used for staking and for liquidity provision, which are ways of committing tokens to the protocol in exchange for participation in its activity. The exact voting rules, staking terms and any rewards can change over time, so the project's current documentation is the place to confirm them. Nothing here should be read as a promise of income from holding or using the token.
Supply, price and market data
As of 2026-11-05, the data we hold shows a circulating supply of about 92.7 million STG, which equals the total supply in our records. The stated maximum supply is 1 billion STG, so the circulating amount is roughly 9 percent of that cap. At the same date, the price was about $0.156, the market capitalization was about $14.4 million, and the token ranked 1019 by market capitalization. Trading volume over the prior 24 hours was about $39,856. Over seven days the price rose about 6.6 percent, and over one year it rose about 26 percent. The all-time high was about $4.14 on April 1, 2022, and the all-time low was about $0.104 on December 31, 2025. These figures change constantly and are shown only as a snapshot, not as a forecast.
Chains where STG is issued
Our token data lists STG as issued on thirteen networks: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Berachain, Mantle, Kava, Polygon, Linea, Optimism, Fantom, Arbitrum, Scroll and Avalanche. Being issued on many chains is what allows the token to fit into a cross-chain bridge, but each network version is a separate deployment with its own contract address. Anyone checking a balance, sending tokens or interacting with a contract should confirm they are on the correct network and using the correct address. Our records do not include a launch date or a consensus mechanism for the token, so we do not state either here. Where data is missing, the safest course is to check the project's own documentation.
Risks and storage
Bridge protocols carry specific risks. Smart contract bugs or exploits can lead to loss of funds, and moving assets across chains adds steps where things can go wrong. Liquidity can also be thin, which can make it harder to exit a position at a fair price. The token has a history of large price swings, as the gap between its all-time high and its recent price shows. Scams often target bridge users with fake websites, fake airdrops and requests for seed phrases, so readers should be careful about any unsolicited message. For storage, a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network is the common approach. Keep your seed phrase offline, verify the token contract on the specific chain you are using, and never share your seed phrase with anyone. By the numbers
Stargate Finance in numbers
Stargate Finance (STG) is ranked #1,070 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $12.8M and a price of $0.1383 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($12.8M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 3.5% over 7 days, down 27.1% over 30 days, up 10.1% over the past year. It trades about 97% below its all-time high of $4.14, set on Apr 1, 2022.
About 92.73M STG are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (9% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $128K, or 1.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
STG has token contracts on 13 chains we track, including Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Berachain. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
CoinGecko groups STG under DeFi tokens, Yield farming tokens, Bridge tokens.

STG FAQs
What is the STG token used for?
STG is described publicly as the governance and utility token of the Stargate protocol. It is used for voting on platform development through StargateDAO, and public material also mentions staking and liquidity provision. Current rules and any rewards should be confirmed in the project's documentation.
What is the maximum supply of STG?
The stated maximum supply is 1 billion STG. As of 2026-11-05, our data shows about 92.7 million tokens in circulation, which equals the total supply in our records.
