What Seeker (SKR) is
Seeker (SKR) is a token tied to the Solana Mobile ecosystem, the effort around the Seeker smartphone and its crypto-focused software. It is issued on Solana. Its stated purpose is to turn a hardware product into a network that the people using it help govern.
The project's own description frames the goal as a decentralized mobile ecosystem. It wants to push back on app store gatekeeping, limited developer freedom and restricted user access to crypto applications. It describes a community-owned platform with decentralized governance, no gatekeepers and direct access between developers and users. It also names a security design called TEEPin as part of that architecture.
These are the project's stated aims, not results. Whether a token-governed mobile ecosystem can compete with the large mobile platforms is unproven. At the time of writing, SKR ranks around 281 by market capitalization, so it is a small asset, and its value depends heavily on whether people use the Seeker ecosystem.
Our site files SKR under infrastructure tokens, and market data providers group it with Solana ecosystem projects. This page explains what is publicly known and flags the gaps.
What the token is used for
Public descriptions agree on the general role of SKR, though they differ in detail. Sources describe it as a governance and utility token for the Solana Mobile ecosystem. The uses mentioned most often are:
- Governance: token holders are meant to have a say in how the ecosystem is run, in line with the project's community-governance pitch.
- Staking: locking tokens to take part in the network or to back parts of it.
- Device verification: tying activity to real Seeker devices.
- dApp curation: helping decide which applications are surfaced or trusted within the ecosystem.
Reports from around the May 2025 announcement said SKR would reward users and builders for verified application activity. They also said it would work alongside the Seeker phone as a way to align incentives.
The exact mechanics, including how staking rewards work, how votes are weighted and what is required for curation, are not fully set out in the data we have. Check the project's official documentation before assuming any specific feature is live. Some features in token descriptions are plans rather than shipped products, and they can change over time.
Supply and tokenomics
As of 2026-11-05, market data shows about 7.31 billion SKR in circulation and about 10.71 billion in total supply. No maximum supply is listed, so we cannot say whether supply is capped. Market capitalization was about $96.0 million. Fully diluted valuation, which values every existing token at the current price, was about $140.7 million. The price was roughly $0.0131.
The gap between circulating and total supply means a sizeable share of tokens, roughly a third, was not yet in circulation. Tokens that are locked or scheduled for later release can add selling pressure when they unlock. Material released into the market tends to dilute existing holders unless demand grows alongside it.
A snippet from around the launch period mentioned nearly 2 billion tokens circulating. The later figure is much higher, which suggests circulating supply has grown considerably since. We do not have the release schedule, so we cannot explain the change or say how the tokens are split among users, developers, the team and reserves. Treat any allocation breakdown from a third party with caution until you have checked it against official sources.
Chains, holding and trading
SKR is issued on Solana, so it follows the Solana token standard. It is not the native coin of any blockchain. Solana's own coin, SOL, is separate, and you typically need a small amount of SOL to pay network fees when moving SKR.
Holding SKR means using a Solana-compatible wallet. Users of the Seeker phone have a built-in route to this, since the device is designed around crypto use. Anyone else can use a standard Solana wallet.
Trading is mainly through crypto exchanges that list the token and through decentralized exchanges on Solana. At the time of writing, 24-hour trading volume was about $3.2 million, which is modest against a market capitalization of about $96 million. Lower volume can mean wider spreads and bigger price moves when you buy or sell larger amounts.
Check the token's mint address through official channels before trading on a decentralized exchange. Copycat tokens with similar names are common on Solana, and a matching ticker does not prove a token is genuine.
History and notable events
The Seeker phone was announced in 2025, and coverage from May of that year said it would ship alongside an SKR token. The token reached users through an airdrop to Seeker owners and developers, with a claim date reported as 21 January 2026.
That date matches the price record. The all-time low was about $0.0054 on 2026-01-20, the day before the claim date. The all-time high was about $0.0558 on 2026-01-21, which is more than ten times higher, though the two dates were only a day apart. Prices at a token's first trading days are often erratic, and thin early liquidity exaggerates swings.
By 2026-11-05 the price was around $0.0131, well under the peak, with a 7-day change of about -6 percent. We have no one-year change because the token is under a year old. Our data does not include a launch date in the standard sense, so the airdrop timing is based on search coverage rather than a confirmed record.
We are not aware of any major hacks or protocol failures, but that is not a clean bill of health. Review the project's announcements for anything more recent.
Risks to understand
SKR carries the usual risks of a small, young token, plus some of its own.
- Price volatility: the token fell from its early peak to a fraction of that level. Further large moves in either direction are possible.
- Supply overhang: with about a third of total supply not yet circulating, future releases could weigh on the price. The schedule is not clear from our data.
- Adoption risk: the token's value rests on a mobile ecosystem challenging large incumbents. That is an ambitious goal, and it depends on device sales, developer interest and real use of the token's functions.
- Governance and execution risk: features such as staking and curation may be delayed, changed or work differently from early descriptions.
- Liquidity risk: modest daily volume makes it harder to exit larger positions at a fair price.
- Scams: airdrop-related phishing is common. Fake claim sites and fake tokens target anyone who has heard of a distribution.
This is not advice to buy or sell. Anyone considering SKR should size any position to what they can afford to lose and do their own research.
How to store SKR safely
Because SKR lives on Solana, storing it safely follows standard Solana practice.
- Use a reputable wallet. Pick a well-known Solana wallet, or the wallet built into your device if you own a Seeker. Download apps only from official stores and the project's verified channels.
- Protect your recovery phrase. Write it down offline and never type it into a website, chat or support form. Nobody legitimate will ask for it.
- Consider a hardware wallet for larger amounts. Hardware wallets keep your keys off an internet-connected device, which reduces exposure to malware and phishing.
- Verify before you sign. Read what a transaction does before approving it. Be wary of requests to connect your wallet to unfamiliar sites, especially ones advertising claims or rewards.
- Check the token address. Confirm the mint address through official sources before swapping, as lookalike tokens exist.
- Keep some SOL for fees. You need it to move tokens.
- Separate wallets help. Use one wallet for experiments and new apps, and keep long-term holdings in another.
Exchanges that hold tokens for you carry their own risk, since you rely on the platform rather than controlling your keys.
