What Holo (HOT) is
Holo (HOT) is a token linked to Holochain, a framework for building peer-to-peer applications. Holochain describes itself as an "agent-centric" system. Each user, or agent, keeps their own chain of data on their own device. There is no single global ledger that every participant must agree on. Data is shared across a network through a distributed hash table, and devices sync only when needed or agreed.
The project's stated aim is to give people control of their own data and to avoid the scaling limits of conventional blockchains. Its own materials call it a post-blockchain ledger and application platform.
HOT sits beside that technology and is not the same thing. Descriptions of the token vary. Some sources call it the native currency of the Holochain network. Others, with more detail, say it was issued in 2018 as a presale voucher for future HoloFuel credits. Our data lists no chain for which HOT is the native coin, so it is best read as an Ethereum-based token tied to the Holo ecosystem. As of 2026-11-05 it ranks around 326 by market capitalization.
What the token is used for
HOT's purpose is mainly historical and connected to a second asset, HoloFuel. According to public information, HOT was designed as a voucher that could later be exchanged for HoloFuel credits. HoloFuel is described as a mutual credit system built for high-frequency microtransactions inside the Holo ecosystem, such as paying for hosting of Holochain apps.
In that picture, people running hosting capacity would earn credits for serving applications, and users or app publishers would spend credits to use that capacity. The category tags attached to HOT, such as DePIN and storage, reflect this link to shared computing and hosting resources.
What the data does not tell us is how much day-to-day utility HOT has today. It does not state fee payments, staking, governance rights or other on-chain functions for the token. If you want to know what HOT can currently be redeemed or used for, check the project's current official documentation instead of relying on summaries. In practice, much of HOT's activity on exchanges is trading rather than payment.
Supply and tokenomics
HOT has a very large unit count and a very small unit price. The data shows about 177.6 billion tokens in circulation. That figure equals the total supply, and no maximum supply is listed. A missing maximum is not proof that new tokens can be created. It only means the data source has no hard cap on file.
Because circulating and total supply are the same in the data, the fully diluted valuation matches the market cap. As of 2026-11-05, both are about $75.1 million, with a price of about $0.00042 per token. A price this small is a consequence of the huge supply and says nothing about whether the token is cheap or expensive. Market cap is the more useful size measure.
Trading volume over 24 hours was about $17.4 million on that date. The data covers no allocation split, vesting schedule or emission plan, so those details are unknown here. Anyone researching the token should look for the original issuance terms and any later changes before drawing conclusions.
Chains and how it is held and traded
HOT was first issued as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, which remains its main home. The data also lists versions on Harmony, Base and Arbitrum. Each is a separate deployment, so a HOT balance on one network is not automatically usable on another. Moving between chains requires a bridge or an exchange withdrawal that supports the target network.
In general terms, holders keep HOT in a self-custody wallet that supports the relevant network, or leave it on a centralized exchange. It trades on exchanges against stablecoins and major cryptocurrencies. Liquidity can differ a lot between venues and chains.
Before sending any tokens, confirm three things:
- Which network the receiving address is on.
- That the contract address matches the one the project lists as official.
- That the exchange or bridge supports that exact network for HOT.
Sending tokens to the wrong network can result in permanent loss. Because there are several deployments, copies or lookalike tokens with the same ticker are also a real possibility, so verify contracts rather than searching by name alone.
History and notable events
Public sources we have point to a 2018 launch, when HOT was issued as a presale voucher for future HoloFuel credits. The exact launch date is not in our data. The token's recorded all-time low was about $0.00022 on 2020-03-12, during the broad market sell-off of that spring.
Its all-time high was about $0.0313 on 2021-04-05, in the strong crypto market of that year. At the 2026-11-05 price of about $0.00042, HOT sits far below that peak. Over the preceding seven days it was up about 23.7 percent, and over one year it was down about 21.3 percent. These swings show how volatile the token has been and are not a signal of what comes next.
Holochain's design has been presented for years as an alternative to blockchain, and coverage has often mixed the technology with the token. Our data lists no specific hacks, delistings or partnerships, so none are claimed here. For a full timeline, consult the project's own announcements and archived news.
Risks to understand
HOT carries the usual risks of a small-cap token, plus some specific to its story.
- Price volatility. The gap between its all-time high and current price, and a 20-plus percent move in a single week, show how sharply the value can change.
- Unclear utility. Descriptions disagree on whether HOT is a native currency, a presale voucher, or something else. If its main role is converting to HoloFuel, its value depends on how that system is adopted and run.
- Technology and adoption risk. Holochain is a different design from mainstream blockchains. Whether developers and users adopt it is uncertain.
- Multi-chain confusion. Several deployments raise the chance of sending funds to the wrong network or buying a counterfeit token.
- Liquidity and exchange risk. Thin markets can mean wider spreads, and tokens held on exchanges depend on that exchange's security.
- Data gaps. No maximum supply is listed, and allocation details are unknown here.

How to store HOT safely
For long-term holding, a self-custody wallet gives you control of your keys. Hardware wallets that support Ethereum-compatible networks are a common choice, since HOT on Ethereum, Base and Arbitrum uses the same address format. Write down your recovery phrase on paper or metal, store it offline, and never type it into a website or share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be support.
When adding HOT to a wallet, import it using the contract address from the project's official channels and check it against a block explorer. Make a small test transfer before moving a large amount, especially across networks.
Be careful with approvals. Decentralized apps and bridges may ask for permission to spend your tokens, and you should revoke approvals you no longer need. Beware of unsolicited airdrops, fake support messages and imitation websites. If you keep tokens on an exchange for trading, enable two-factor authentication and consider withdrawing amounts you do not plan to trade soon.
By the numbers
Holo in numbers
Holo (HOT) is ranked #345 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $69.4M and a price of $0.0003906 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($69.4M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was up 20.3% over 7 days, down 11.4% over 30 days, down 31.6% over the past year. It trades about 99% below its all-time high of $0.0313, set on Apr 5, 2021.
About 177.62B HOT are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $11.2M, or 16% of its market cap: high turnover.
HOT has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, Harmony, Base, Arbitrum. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.
CoinGecko groups HOT under DePIN tokens, Storage tokens.

HOT FAQs
What is Holo (HOT)?
HOT is the token of the Holo ecosystem, which is connected to Holochain, a framework for peer-to-peer apps. It was reportedly issued in 2018 as a presale voucher for HoloFuel credits. It is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with other deployments on Harmony, Base and Arbitrum.
Is Holo the same as Holochain?
They are related but not identical. Holochain is the application framework, while HOT is a token tied to the Holo hosting ecosystem. Some sources call HOT Holochain's native currency, but the data we have lists no chain for which it is the native coin.
What is the supply of HOT?
About 177.6 billion HOT are in circulation as of 2026-11-05, and the total supply is the same figure. No maximum supply is listed in the data. The market cap was about $75.1 million at that date.
Which blockchains is HOT on?
HOT was issued on Ethereum, and the data also lists Harmony, Base and Arbitrum. Each is a separate deployment. Check that your wallet or exchange supports the right network and confirm the contract address before sending funds.
Why is the price of HOT so low?
A very large supply means each token has a very small price, about $0.00042 as of 2026-11-05. The price per token alone does not show value. Market cap is the better size measure, and nothing here predicts future prices.
Is HOT a good investment?
No one can say that. HOT has been volatile, with a high of about $0.0313 in April 2021 and a low of about $0.00022 in March 2020. This page is not financial advice, so research the project and the risks before deciding.
What is the market cap of Holo?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Holo had a market cap of about $69.4M, ranking #345 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of HOT?
Holo's all-time high is $0.0313, reached on Apr 5, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.0002202 (Mar 12, 2020). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of HOT?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 177.62B HOT were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
