Weak
Our verdict on YuzuSwap
3.5/10YuzuSwap is mainly of historical interest as an early DEX on Oasis Emerald with liquidity and trade mining. Its main strength was being native to a low-fee EVM paratime. The main caveat is decisive: the team announced a front-end sunset, the token is listed as discontinued and liquidity is minimal. Existing liquidity providers should check their positions and withdraw. New users have little reason to start here.

What is YuzuSwap?
YuzuSwap was a decentralized exchange on the Oasis Emerald paratime, and it was described as the first DEX built on that EVM-compatible network. It offered token swaps and liquidity pools, with incentives including liquidity mining and trade mining paid in its YUZU token.
The project's X account said the team decided to sunset the front-end after about 3.5 years, with the current interface maintained for a limited time. A tracking site now labels the YUZU token as discontinued. DeFiLlama has listed the protocol since January 2022 and shows about $94,000 in total value locked.
The homepage could not be fetched, so the status of the site itself is unconfirmed. The project is best treated as inactive and read as a record of an early Oasis DeFi app.
How YuzuSwap works
YuzuSwap is an automated market maker. Instead of an order book, traders swap against pools of two tokens that liquidity providers fund. A pricing formula adjusts the exchange rate as the pool balance shifts, so larger trades move the price more, especially in small pools.
Liquidity providers deposit pairs of tokens and receive a claim on the pool, plus a share of trading fees. YuzuSwap also advertised liquidity mining and trade mining, which paid extra YUZU tokens to people who supplied liquidity or traded.
The exchange ran on Emerald, the EVM-compatible ParaTime of the Oasis Network, so the contracts work like those on other EVM chains. It is described as non-custodial, meaning users keep their tokens in their own wallets until a swap or deposit.
5 features
Key features
01
Non-custodial token swaps
Users swap tokens directly from their own wallets on the Oasis Emerald paratime, with no account needed.
02
Liquidity pools
Liquidity providers deposited token pairs into pools and earned a share of the trading activity.
03
Liquidity and trade mining
The project advertised incentives for both liquidity provision and trading, paid in the YUZU token.
04
Emerald-native design
YuzuSwap was billed as the first DEX on Emerald, using its low gas fees and high throughput.
05
Listed audit
One audit is listed for the project, though the auditor and scope are not stated in the sources reviewed.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Early DEX on Oasis Emerald that used the network's low fees and high throughput
- Non-custodial design, so users held their own tokens
- Liquidity and trade mining gave providers and traders extra rewards
- One audit is listed in public protocol data
Watch out for
- The front-end was announced as sunset, so the main way to use the exchange is going away or already gone
- Tracking pages describe the YUZU token as discontinued
- Total value locked is only about $94,000, which means thin liquidity and likely high slippage
- Limited to the Oasis Emerald paratime, a small ecosystem with few users and tokens
- Fee levels, team details and audit scope are not published in the sources reviewed
YuzuSwap fees
Swap fee levels and the split between liquidity providers and the protocol are not published in the sources reviewed. On a typical automated market maker, the fee is built into each swap and shown in the interface before confirmation.
Users also paid network gas on Oasis Emerald, which the project described as low. With the front-end being sunset, fee details can no longer be reliably checked on the site.
Is YuzuSwap safe?
One audit is listed in public protocol data, but the auditor, date and findings are not stated in the sources reviewed. An audit does not remove smart-contract risk, and the pools are small. The protocol is non-custodial, so funds sit in smart contracts rather than with a company.
The main risk now is abandonment. With the front-end sunset, users may have to interact with contracts directly to withdraw, and phishing copies of old interfaces are a possibility. No licence or regulatory status is published. Always verify addresses from official channels.
6 steps
How to get started with YuzuSwap
- 1
Check the project's official X account for the latest status before connecting any wallet.
- 2
If you hold liquidity positions, confirm whether the remaining interface or contracts still allow withdrawals.
- 3
Use an EVM-compatible wallet configured for the Oasis Emerald network.
- 4
Verify contract and token addresses against official sources to avoid copycat sites.
- 5
Withdraw or swap any remaining positions and keep a small amount of ROSE for gas.
- 6
Do not add new liquidity to a project that has announced a front-end sunset.
Who YuzuSwap is for
This page is for people who still hold YuzuSwap liquidity or YUZU tokens, and for researchers looking at early Oasis Emerald DeFi. It is not suited to anyone looking for an active exchange with deep liquidity.
YuzuSwap FAQs
What is YuzuSwap?
YuzuSwap is a decentralized exchange on the Oasis Emerald paratime. It let users swap tokens and provide liquidity, with incentives such as liquidity mining and trade mining.
Is YuzuSwap still active?
Its official X account said the team decided to sunset the front-end after about 3.5 years, with the existing interface maintained for a limited period. A tracking site also labels the token as discontinued. Treat the project as inactive.
Which blockchain does YuzuSwap use?
YuzuSwap ran on Oasis Emerald, the EVM-compatible ParaTime of the Oasis Network. It was described as the first DEX built on Emerald.
What is the YUZU token?
YUZU is the project's token, with a listed max supply of 500 million. Price listings show a value around $0.0004 with no meaningful trading volume. It was used within the exchange's incentive programs.
Can I still withdraw liquidity from YuzuSwap?
Anyone with funds in YuzuSwap pools should check whether liquidity can still be withdrawn through the contracts or the remaining interface. Because the front-end is being retired, withdrawing sooner is the usual precaution. Verify addresses carefully and only use official links.
