Topaz CL Review 2026: ve(3,3) DEX Across Five Networks

Topaz CL is a ve(3,3) decentralized exchange with BNB Chain as its hub and markets on four other networks. It is young and small by TVL, so treat it as an early-stage venue.

Good

Our verdict on Topaz CL

6.5/10

Topaz CL suits DeFi users who already understand ve(3,3) models and want concentrated liquidity, voting incentives and managed ranges across BNB Chain, Base, Ethereum, Arc and Robinhood Chain. Its main strength is the range of earning routes and the published contract review. The main caveat is size: TVL under $1 million, a launch in May 2026 and low token volume mean thin liquidity and limited track record. Read the documentation and start small.

What is Topaz CL?

Topaz CL is the concentrated-liquidity DEX behind Topaz, described as a ve(3,3) exchange on BNB Chain where protocols compete for liquidity and veTOPAZ holders capture value. It lets users swap tokens, supply liquidity or vote with locked tokens to earn fees and rewards.

The homepage lists markets live on five networks: BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum and Arc. BNB Chain is the hub, with xTOPAZ carrying participation to the other networks.

It appeared on tracking data in May 2026 and shows about $922,000 in TVL, down 6.1% over seven days. That makes it an early, small venue. Two audits are listed, and the project points to a published review of dynamic swap fees and contract changes on BNB Chain.

How Topaz CL works

Topaz is a ve(3,3) exchange. Liquidity providers deposit tokens into pools, and traders pay a fee on each swap. Unstaked positions earn those trading fees. Staking eligible liquidity in a gauge earns token emissions in TOPAZ or xTOPAZ instead.

Holders who lock TOPAZ as veTOPAZ vote on which pools receive emissions. Voters earn a share of the trading fees and incentives allocated to the pools they back. Projects can add incentives to attract votes, which in turn draws liquidity to their pools.

The network design is hub-based. BNB Chain is the hub, and xTOPAZ carries participation to Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum and Arc. Concentrated liquidity positions earn only while the price is in range, and Topaz Auto manages that range for eligible positions.

Key features

01

Multi-network trading

Swap tokens on BNB Chain, Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum and Arc, with local markets on each network.

02

Concentrated liquidity

Concentrated liquidity pools let providers earn trading fees. Positions earn only while the price is in range.

03

Vote and earn

Holders vote for pools and earn a share of allocated trading fees and incentives, following the ve(3,3) model.

04

Topaz Auto

Auto manages the range of eligible concentrated liquidity so users do not adjust it manually. Rewards are claimed separately.

05

Token rewards

Gauge-staked liquidity earns TOPAZ or xTOPAZ emissions, depending on the network.

06

Pools for projects

Projects can create a pool and add voting incentives to attract votes and liquidity for their token.

07

Published contract review

A published review covers dynamic swap fees and selected changes to the core and Slipstream contracts on BNB Chain.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Markets on five networks, including BNB Chain, Base and Ethereum
  • Several ways to earn: trading fees, gauge emissions and voting incentives
  • Topaz Auto offers managed ranges for concentrated liquidity
  • Two audits are listed and a contract review is published
  • Projects can create pools and add voting incentives to bootstrap liquidity

Watch out for

  • Very small TVL of about $922,000, so liquidity is thin and large swaps may see heavy price impact
  • Listed only since May 2026, so there is little track record
  • TOPAZ trades at a very low price and volume, with search snippets showing a 24-hour volume of a few thousand dollars
  • Complex ve(3,3) mechanics, with xTOPAZ on some networks and TOPAZ on others, are harder for newcomers to follow
  • Concentrated liquidity positions earn only while in range, which can lead to lost yield or impermanent loss
  • The team, tokenomics detail and audit firms are not clearly stated on the homepage

Topaz CL fees

Topaz does not publish a single fee schedule on its homepage. Swap fees go to liquidity providers as trading fees, and the homepage mentions dynamic swap fees on BNB Chain, so fees can vary by pool and conditions.

Users also pay network gas on each chain. The pool pages and documentation show fees and APRs. Unstaked liquidity earns trading fees and gauge-staked liquidity earns emissions, and these are separate returns.

Is Topaz CL safe?

Topaz is non-custodial, so users keep their assets in their own wallets and interact through smart contracts. Two audits are listed in the tracking data, and the homepage points to a published review of dynamic swap fees and changes to the core and Slipstream contracts on BNB Chain. The auditor names are not stated.

The main risks are smart-contract bugs, thin liquidity, impermanent loss and token price volatility. Emission-based rewards can fall if the token price drops. The team and any admin key arrangements are not described on the homepage. Do your own checks and only deposit what you can afford to lose.

6 steps

How to get started with Topaz CL

  1. 1

Install a compatible wallet and fund it with the native gas token for your chosen network, such as BNB on BNB Chain.

  2. 2

Open the exchange and connect your wallet, then select the network where you want to trade.

  3. 3

Review the pool list and read the documentation, including the published contract review, before depositing.

  4. 4

Swap a small amount first to check price impact and fees.

  5. 5

To earn, add liquidity to a pool, then decide whether to stake it for TOPAZ or xTOPAZ rewards or use an Auto pool.

  6. 6

To vote, lock TOPAZ for veTOPAZ and vote for pools, then claim your share of fees and incentives.

Who Topaz CL is for

Topaz fits experienced DeFi users who want to provide concentrated liquidity or vote for pool incentives, and token projects looking for a market with voting incentives. It is less suited to beginners or anyone who needs deep liquidity for large trades.
