RskSwap Review 2026: A Small Uniswap V2 Fork on RSK

RskSwap is a Uniswap V2-style automated market maker for ERC-20 tokens on the RSK network. It is a simple, small-scale DEX, and its low liquidity is the main caveat.

Our verdict on RskSwap

5.2/10

RskSwap suits users already active on RSK who want a plain, non-custodial swap venue built on the familiar Uniswap V2 model. Its strengths are simplicity, self-custody and listed audits. The main caveat is very low liquidity of about $47,800 and a falling TVL, which means high slippage on larger trades. Fees and team details are not published, so verify the swap fee and price impact in the app before trading, and treat liquidity provision as high risk.

What is RskSwap?

RskSwap is a decentralized exchange adapted from the Uniswap protocol for the RSK network. It lets users swap ERC-20 tokens directly from their wallets, without an account or a trusted intermediary. It has been tracked since October 2021.

The project is small. Total value locked is about $47,800 and fell 8.5% in the last week. It has no native token, and three audits are listed, though their details are not published here.

Its value is mostly as a basic, familiar swap venue inside the RSK ecosystem rather than as a deep source of liquidity.

How RskSwap works

RskSwap follows the Uniswap V2 model. Instead of matching buyers and sellers, it holds pools of two tokens. A formula keeps the product of the two token balances constant, so the price shifts as traders swap one token for the other.

Anyone can add equal values of both tokens to a pool and receive pool share tokens. These represent a claim on the pool and on the trading fees it earns. Liquidity providers can lose value compared with just holding the tokens if prices diverge, a risk known as impermanent loss.

All of this runs through smart contracts on RSK, so users keep custody of their tokens in their own wallets and sign each transaction.

6 features

Key features

01

Automated market maker

Swaps run against on-chain liquidity pools priced by a mathematical formula, with no order book and no trusted intermediary.

02

Uniswap V2 fork

The design follows Uniswap V2, a widely used pool model for ERC-20 token swaps that is easy to understand.

03

Built for RSK

The protocol is adapted for RSK, the Bitcoin-linked smart-contract network, so users can trade tokens in that ecosystem.

04

Liquidity provision

Users can supply token pairs to pools to earn a share of trading fees, in return for pool share tokens.

05

Wallet connection

The app connects through standard wallets. A hardware-style wallet integration with the RSK ecosystem was announced on the project's social account.

06

Developer SDK

A software development kit for RskSwap integrations is published in the RSK developer organisation's repositories, suggesting some developer-facing tooling.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Uses the well-known Uniswap V2 design, so the mechanics are familiar and easy to understand.
  • Non-custodial: you swap from your own wallet and keep control of your tokens.
  • Built for RSK, giving a native swap option in that ecosystem.
  • Three audits are listed for the project.
  • No token, so there is no extra token-price exposure on top of trading.

Watch out for

  • Total value locked is about $47,800, so liquidity is thin and larger swaps will move prices sharply.
  • TVL fell 8.5% over the past seven days, a sign of weak or shrinking activity.
  • The project has no token, so there are no incentive rewards to attract liquidity providers.
  • Fee levels, team identity and audit details are not published.
  • It is a fork of an older Uniswap design, so it lacks newer features such as concentrated liquidity.
  • Only RSK is supported, so there is no multi-chain reach.

RskSwap fees

RskSwap does not publish a fee schedule. Uniswap V2 forks typically charge a percentage swap fee that goes to liquidity providers, but the exact rate here is not stated, so check the swap interface before confirming.

You also pay network gas in RBTC on RSK. Because liquidity is thin, price impact and slippage are likely to cost more than the fee itself on larger trades.

Is RskSwap safe?

RskSwap is non-custodial, so the main risks are smart-contract bugs, thin liquidity and impermanent loss for liquidity providers. Three audits are listed, but the auditors and findings are not detailed here, so review them before depositing meaningful funds.

The team, any admin keys and any regulatory status are not published. Being a fork of a widely used contract design reduces some code risk, but forks can still contain changes that introduce bugs. Use only funds you can afford to lose and check the legal position of crypto trading where you live.

6 steps

How to get started with RskSwap

  1. 1

Set up a wallet that supports the RSK network and add RSK as a network if needed.

  2. 2

Fund the wallet with a small amount of RBTC for gas and the tokens you want to swap.

  3. 3

Open the RskSwap app and connect your wallet.

  4. 4

Choose the tokens to swap and enter an amount.

  5. 5

Review the price impact, slippage setting and fee shown, then confirm the transaction.

  6. 6

Start with a small test swap before moving larger amounts, given the low liquidity.

Who RskSwap is for

RskSwap is for people who already use the RSK network and want a basic way to swap ERC-20 tokens from their own wallet. It is less suited to traders who need deep liquidity, newer pool designs or multi-chain access.

RskSwap FAQs

What is RskSwap?

RskSwap is a decentralized exchange on the RSK (Rootstock) network. It is a fork of the Uniswap V2 protocol and lets users swap ERC-20 tokens through liquidity pools rather than an order book.

Does RskSwap have a token?

The project lists no token of its own. Users trade existing RSK-based tokens, and liquidity providers receive pool share tokens rather than a governance or reward token.

Which blockchain does RskSwap run on?

Only RSK is listed as a supported network. You need a wallet that can connect to RSK and some RBTC to pay for gas.

What are the fees on RskSwap?

The project does not publish a fee schedule. The swap fee and any liquidity provider share should be visible in the app before you confirm a trade, so check it there.

Is RskSwap safe?

Three audits are listed for the project, but the auditors and findings are not detailed here. An audit lowers risk without removing it, and liquidity providers still face smart-contract and impermanent loss risk.

Is there enough liquidity to trade?

Liquidity is very small, with about $47,800 locked. Slippage can be high on anything beyond tiny trades, so check the price impact shown before swapping.
