Plasma Saving Vaults Review 2026: Aave Yield on Plasma

Plasma Saving Vaults let users deposit digital dollars on the Plasma chain and earn yield through Aave, using Veda's vault infrastructure. A simple savings-style product, but yield and safety rest on Aave, Veda and a young chain.

Our verdict on Plasma Saving Vaults

6.7/10

Plasma Saving Vaults suit users who already hold digital dollars on Plasma and want a simple way to earn Aave-based yield without managing positions. The main strength is the straightforward flow, backed by a well-known lending protocol and Veda's vault infrastructure. The main caveat is layered smart-contract risk, with no listed audits for the vault product itself and no published fee details. The Basis Trade Vault is not live yet. Treat yields as variable, not guaranteed.

What is Plasma Saving Vaults?

Plasma Saving Vaults are the savings products on the Plasma dashboard. Plasma describes itself as a blockchain designed for global money movement, and the dashboard lets users save, spend and earn with digital dollars. The vaults cover the saving and earning side.

The live product is a Lending Vault. It places deposits into Aave through Veda's vault infrastructure, which the homepage calls audited. A second product, the Basis Trade Vault, is listed as coming soon and would use Ethena, Pendle and Aave.

The vaults hold roughly $31.8 million in total value locked, with the figure essentially flat over the last week. They have been listed since late September 2025. No separate token is tied to the vault, though the dashboard promotes XPL rewards for taking part in the Plasma ecosystem.

How Plasma Saving Vaults works

A vault pools deposits from many users and puts them to work in a DeFi protocol so each depositor does not need to manage positions. In the Lending Vault, the pooled assets are supplied to Aave, a large lending protocol where borrowers pay interest to suppliers. Veda provides the vault infrastructure that handles deposits, withdrawals and accounting.

Depositors receive a claim on the vault and can withdraw later, with their share reflecting the interest earned. The dashboard also tracks XPL rewards, shown alongside balance and monthly earnings.

The planned Basis Trade Vault is described as combining Ethena, Pendle and Aave. In a basis trade, a synthetic dollar earns yield from the gap between spot and futures prices. Ethena is said to run that trade, and the vault would add other DeFi layers on top. It is marked coming soon.

6 features

Key features

01

Aave Lending Vault

Deposits go into Aave via Veda's vault infrastructure, which the homepage describes as audited. Users deposit and withdraw from the dashboard.

02

Basis Trade Vault (upcoming)

A second vault is advertised that combines Ethena, Pendle and Aave to capture enhanced yield from a basis trade. It is not live yet.

03

XPL rewards

Vault pages show a XPL Earned field, and the dashboard promotes earning XPL for taking part in the Plasma ecosystem.

04

Free USD₮ sending

The dashboard promotes free USD₮ transfers on Plasma, which fits the chain's focus on moving digital dollars.

05

Portfolio tracking

The Portfolio view shows your balance, monthly earnings and XPL earned per vault, and total deposits per vault.

06

Built-in bridge and swap

The same dashboard has Bridge and Swap tabs, so users can bring assets to Plasma and convert them without leaving the app.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Simple one-asset savings flow with deposit and withdraw buttons and a portfolio view.
  • Yield is sourced from Aave, a large and widely used lending protocol.
  • Uses Veda's vault infrastructure, which the homepage describes as audited.
  • XPL rewards can add extra return on top of base yield.
  • Bridge and swap tools sit in the same dashboard, which shortens setup.
  • A planned Basis Trade Vault suggests more strategies are coming.

Watch out for

  • Returns depend on Aave, so smart-contract bugs, bad debt or rate drops there flow through to depositors.
  • Vault contracts add a second layer of smart-contract risk on top of the underlying protocol.
  • No third-party audits are listed for the vault product itself; the homepage only refers to Veda's audited infrastructure.
  • The Basis Trade Vault is marked coming soon, so only one strategy is live.
  • Fee details are not published on the dashboard homepage, so net yield is hard to judge before connecting a wallet.
  • Plasma is a young chain, listed since late 2025, with a limited track record.

Plasma Saving Vaults fees

The dashboard homepage does not publish a fee schedule for the vaults, such as management or performance fees. Vault Terms are linked from the page footer and are the place to check before depositing.

Users should also expect normal network costs on Plasma and any costs from bridging or swapping assets. The homepage promotes free USD₮ sending, but that does not cover vault deposits or withdrawals.

Is Plasma Saving Vaults safe?

The vaults add layers of risk. Funds sit in Veda-powered vault contracts, which then deposit into Aave. A fault in either layer, or in Aave's markets, could affect depositors. The homepage says Veda's vault infrastructure is audited, but no audits are listed for the vault product itself, and the audit reports are not linked in the page text.

The vaults are non-custodial in the usual DeFi sense, since users connect their own wallet, but the project does not publish team, governance or admin-key details on the homepage. Plasma is a relatively new chain, so bridge and chain risk apply too. The planned Basis Trade Vault would add Ethena and Pendle exposure, including synthetic-dollar and market risks.

No security incidents are mentioned. Yields are variable, and users should only deposit what they can afford to lose and check the Vault Terms.

Who Plasma Saving Vaults is for

This is for crypto users who hold digital dollars on or near Plasma and want passive yield with a low-effort interface. It is less suited to people who want a wide choice of strategies today, need fee details up front, or are uncomfortable with DeFi smart-contract risk.

Plasma Saving Vaults FAQs

What are Plasma Saving Vaults?

They are on-chain vaults on the Plasma blockchain that deploy user deposits into DeFi protocols. The live Lending Vault sends assets into Aave through Veda's vault infrastructure. A Basis Trade Vault is listed as coming soon.

Where does the yield come from?

Yield comes from lending activity on Aave, where borrowers pay interest to suppliers. The dashboard also advertises XPL rewards for participating in the Plasma ecosystem. Exact rates change over time and are shown in the app.

The homepage says it will combine Ethena, Pendle and Aave, with Ethena running the basis trade. It is marked coming soon, so details such as launch date and terms are not yet published.
