ActiveHyperstable CDP Review 2026: USH Borrowing on HyperEVM
Hyperstable CDP lets users lock crypto collateral on HyperEVM to mint USH, an over-collateralized dollar-targeted stablecoin. It is an early, small protocol with a broad feature set and a thin track record.

Our verdict on Hyperstable CDP
5.8/10Hyperstable CDP suits DeFi users already on HyperEVM who want to mint a dollar stablecoin against crypto collateral and are comfortable with early-stage risk. Its strength is a wide feature set for its size: core and isolated markets, lending, liquidity pools, and vote-and-lock rewards. The main caveat is scale and track record. TVL is only about 156,000 US dollars, the protocol has been live since May 2025, and the audit details and team are not published on the app, so keep positions small and well collateralized.

What is Hyperstable CDP?
Hyperstable CDP is a crypto-backed, over-collateralized and decentralized stablecoin protocol built on HyperEVM, the EVM environment on Hyperliquid. Users borrow its stablecoin, USH, against deposited collateral. It has been listed since May 2025 and uses PEG as its native token.
The app goes beyond basic minting. Its menu covers borrowing, earning, locking, voting, rebates, referrals, swaps, liquidations and analytics, and it includes a migration tool for holders of an earlier aPEG token. The dashboard also shows a total value locked of roughly 156,000 US dollars.
That makes it a small, early-stage protocol. The feature set is wide for its size, but low liquidity and a short history are the main things to weigh.
How Hyperstable CDP works
Hyperstable is a collateralized debt position (CDP) protocol. A user deposits crypto collateral into a market and borrows USH against it. Because the debt is smaller than the collateral value, the system is over-collateralized, which is what is meant to keep USH worth about one US dollar.
Each position has a health factor and a liquidation price. If collateral falls in value so the health factor drops too far, the position can be liquidated by others, which repays the debt and protects the system. Users manage this by adding collateral or repaying USH.
The app splits activity into Core Markets, where USH is minted, and Isolated Markets, where borrowing and lending are kept separate. Users can also stake in liquidity pools, lock the PEG token to vote, and collect PEG, voting and rebase rewards.
7 features
Key features
01
Core borrowing
Deposit collateral in Core Markets to mint USH, with the app showing borrow APR, health factor and liquidation price before you confirm.
02
Isolated markets
Separate lending and borrowing markets with their own collateral and debt. The homepage showed a lowest isolated borrow rate of 0.02% at the time of capture.
03
Liquidity and lending
Deposit into liquidity pools and stake to earn, alongside isolated lending pools where suppliers earn interest.
04
Lock and vote
Lock and Vote sections let token holders lock for voting power and earn voting and rebase rewards.
05
Rewards and referrals
Rebate, referral and incentivize sections give extra ways to earn PEG rewards or direct incentives to pools.
06
Swap and migration
A swap page, a Buy PEG button, and a Migrate aPEG tool for holders of the earlier token.
07
Liquidations and analytics
A Liquidate page for liquidators, plus an analytics section and a guide inside the app.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Over-collateralized design aimed at keeping USH near one US dollar.
- Clear position tools showing health factor, liquidation price and borrow APR before confirming.
- Separate Core and Isolated markets let users choose between minting USH and contained lending pairs.
- Several ways to earn, including liquidity pools, isolated lending, voting and rebase rewards.
- Two audits are listed for the protocol.
- Docs, a GitHub and an in-app guide are linked from the app.
Watch out for
- Total value locked is small, about 156,000 US dollars, so liquidity is thin and a large position can move markets.
- The project is young, listed since May 2025, and has a limited track record through market stress.
- Two audits are listed, but the auditors and findings are not given in the material reviewed.
- Team, governance details and the full fee schedule are not published on the app front page.
- The product depends on HyperEVM infrastructure and oracle pricing, which adds risk beyond the lending contracts.
- Advertised yields such as the 41.67% top liquidity APR are snapshot figures that can change quickly and may rely on token rewards.
Hyperstable CDP fees
Hyperstable does not publish a single fee schedule on its app front page. What it shows are variable rates: the dashboard displayed a lowest isolated borrow rate of 0.02%, a top lending APR of 0.03% and a top liquidity APR of 41.67% at the time of capture. These move with market conditions.
Borrow APR is shown per market before you confirm a position, and the Analytics section and docs are where users would check current rates and any protocol or liquidation fees. Normal HyperEVM gas costs also apply to each transaction.
Is Hyperstable CDP safe?
Two audits are listed for the protocol, but the auditors and findings were not detailed in the material reviewed. The app is non-custodial in the usual DeFi sense: users interact from their own wallet, and the main risks are smart-contract bugs, oracle errors, liquidation mechanics and a USH depeg.
Total value locked is small and the protocol is young, so it has had little time to prove itself in volatile markets. The team, any admin or upgrade controls and insurance arrangements are not published on the app page. Check the docs and audit reports directly, and only use funds you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Hyperstable CDP
- 1
Install a compatible EVM wallet and add the HyperEVM network.
- 2
Fund the wallet with supported collateral and a small amount of the network gas token.
- 3
Open the Hyperstable app and connect the wallet.
- 4
Read the in-app guide and docs, and check each market's rates and liquidation rules.
- 5
Use Easy Borrow or Core Markets to deposit collateral and mint USH, keeping the health factor well above the liquidation line.
- 6
Optionally stake in a liquidity pool or lend in an isolated market to earn, and monitor positions regularly.
Who Hyperstable CDP is for
Hyperstable CDP is for experienced DeFi users on Hyperliquid's HyperEVM who understand liquidation risk and want to borrow USH or chase incentive-driven yields. It is not suited to beginners, to anyone who needs deep liquidity, or to those who want a long-proven stablecoin.
Hyperstable CDP FAQs
What is Hyperstable CDP?
Hyperstable is a crypto-backed, over-collateralized and decentralized stablecoin protocol built on HyperEVM. Users deposit collateral to borrow the USH stablecoin, which is designed to trade at one US dollar.
What is USH?
USH is the stablecoin minted from Core Markets, where users deposit collateral and borrow against it. It is intended to hold a value of one US dollar, backed by over-collateralized crypto.
What is the PEG token for?
PEG is the protocol's own token, used for rewards and tied to the lock and vote features. Locking tokens gives voting power, and the app shows separate PEG, voting and rebase reward sections.
What is the difference between Core and Isolated markets?
Core Markets are used to mint USH, while Isolated Markets are separate lending and borrowing markets with their own collateral and debt. The app lists them as distinct sections with their own rates and health indicators.
Can my position be liquidated?
Yes. If a position's health factor falls too low because collateral value drops or debt grows, it can be liquidated. The app shows a health factor and a liquidation price for each position, and has a Liquidate section.
Is Hyperstable audited?
Two audits are listed for the protocol, but the auditors and reports were not detailed in the material reviewed. Even with audits, smart-contract bugs, oracle failures and depegs remain possible, so only use funds you can afford to lose.
