Hatom Lending Review 2026: MultiversX Money Market

Hatom Lending is a decentralized lending and borrowing protocol on MultiversX with about 7 million USD in TVL and an extensive audit list. Its main appeal is being a native money market for that chain; its main limit is size and chain exclusivity.

Our verdict on Hatom Lending

7.0/10

Hatom Lending suits users already active on MultiversX who want to earn interest or borrow against their holdings. Its main strength is the breadth of its product set and the long list of audits and security reports published in the app. The main caveat is size and concentration: TVL is around 7 million USD and everything depends on one chain, so liquidity and contract risk deserve careful attention. Check live rates in the app before using it.

What is Hatom Lending?

Hatom Lending is a decentralized lending and borrowing platform on the MultiversX network. DefiLlama files it under Lending and lists it since July 2023, with roughly 7 million USD in total value locked and a 1.4 percent rise over seven days.

The app goes beyond a single pool. Its menu lists the lending protocol, liquid staking, an isolated protocol, a TAO Bridge, an HTM Booster, USH lending, a stablecoin facilitator and a staking module. USH is described as Hatom's over-collateralized stablecoin pegged to USD.

The protocol has a native token, HTM. The app's security section lists audit reports from several firms for each module.

How Hatom Lending works

Hatom works as a pooled money market. Users supply assets to a market and earn interest paid by borrowers. Supplied assets can be marked as collateral, which sets a borrow limit.

Borrowers pay variable interest and must keep their debt below the borrow limit. If collateral value falls too far, positions can be liquidated by third parties to repay debt. The app shows net APY, supply balance, borrow balance and borrow limit used for each account.

Beyond the main pool, the app lists a USH Pool where users can mint USH against collateral, an isolated protocol, liquid staking, a staking module, an HTM Booster and a bridge. Exact parameters for each are not public.

6 features

Key features

01

Supply and borrow markets

Users supply assets to markets and can borrow against them, with a position summary showing net APY, supply balance, borrow balance and borrow limit used.

02

USH stablecoin minting

A separate USH Pool lets users mint USH, described as an over-collateralized stablecoin pegged to USD.

03

Isolated protocol

The app menu lists an isolated protocol alongside the main lending pool, which separates risk across markets.

04

Liquid staking and staking

The same ecosystem lists a liquid staking product, a staking module and an HTM Booster.

05

TAO Bridge and facilitator

A TAO Bridge and a Stablecoin Facilitator are listed among the protocols.

06

Multilingual app with devnet mode

The app offers a devnet mode toggle, dark mode, transaction alerts and several interface languages including English, French, Chinese, Spanish, Korean, Romanian and Portuguese.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Native lending market on MultiversX with a multi-product ecosystem
  • Audits from several named firms are listed for each module, plus penetration testing and DevSecOps reports
  • Over-collateralized USH stablecoin minted through a dedicated pool
  • Isolated protocol option separates risk from the main pool
  • App supports multiple languages and a devnet mode for testing

Watch out for

  • TVL of about 7 million USD is small next to the largest lending protocols, so liquidity can be thin
  • Runs only on MultiversX, so users need that ecosystem's wallet and assets
  • Fees, interest rates and collateral factors are not stated publicly and must be checked in the app
  • Several modules (USH minting, isolated markets, bridge) add complexity and more contract surface to understand
  • Audits reduce but do not remove smart-contract, oracle and liquidation risk
  • The app page shows a 'Coming Soon' label next to the protocol selector, which is unclear without opening the app

Hatom Lending fees

Fees are not published. Lending protocols generally charge no fee to deposit, but borrowers pay a variable interest rate, and each on-chain action costs a network fee.

Supply and borrow APYs, liquidity and collateral parameters are shown per asset in the app's market tables. Check them there before you act.

Is Hatom Lending safe?

The app publishes a security reports section. For the lending protocol it lists audits by Runtime Verification, Peckshield, ABDK Consulting, CertiK, Hacken, Halborn and Arda, plus penetration testing by Halborn and CertiK and DevSecOps by CertiK. Other modules list audits by Runtime Verification, Arda, CertiK and Astrarizon. DefiLlama counts two audits for the listing.

Audits lower but do not remove risk. Users still face smart-contract bugs, oracle issues, liquidation risk and stablecoin depeg risk. The project does not describe any incidents or the custody model beyond it being non-custodial lending. Users control their wallet keys, so wallet security matters.

6 steps

How to get started with Hatom Lending

  1. 1

Confirm you are on the official app address and have a MultiversX-compatible wallet.

  2. 2

Fund the wallet with assets supported by the markets, plus some EGLD for network fees.

  3. 3

Connect the wallet in the app and review the Supply markets and Borrow markets tables for rates and liquidity.

  4. 4

Supply an asset and enable it as collateral if you plan to borrow.

  5. 5

Borrow conservatively and keep the borrow limit used well below the maximum.

  6. 6

Review the security reports page for the module you use and monitor your position regularly.

Who Hatom Lending is for

Hatom Lending is for MultiversX users who already hold assets on the chain and want to lend, borrow or mint a stablecoin. It is less suited to people who want deep liquidity across many chains or who are new to liquidation risk.

Hatom Lending FAQs

What is Hatom Lending?

Hatom Lending is a decentralized lending and borrowing platform on the MultiversX network. Users supply assets to earn interest and can borrow against collateral.

Which blockchain does Hatom Lending run on?

DefiLlama lists it on MultiversX only. The app is built around the MultiversX network and its wallets.

Has Hatom Lending been audited?

The app lists audits from firms including Runtime Verification, Peckshield, ABDK Consulting, CertiK, Hacken, Halborn, Arda and Astrarizon, depending on the module. It also lists penetration testing and DevSecOps reports for some modules. Audits do not guarantee safety.

What is USH?

USH is described on the app as Hatom's over-collateralized stablecoin pegged to USD. It is minted in a separate USH Pool market rather than the main pool.

Does Hatom have a token?

DefiLlama lists a token with the ticker HTM. The project does not detail its supply or utility beyond an HTM Booster module being listed.

Can I lose money lending or borrowing on Hatom?

Yes. Borrowing against collateral carries liquidation risk if the value of collateral falls or the debt grows. Users should watch the borrow limit shown in the app.
