Our verdict on Gala Swap
6.5/10Gala Swap is a sensible choice for people who already hold GALA or other GalaChain tokens and want to swap or provide liquidity without leaving the ecosystem. Its main strength is clear: non-custodial trading with published fee tiers and concentrated liquidity. The main caveat is size and assurance: TVL is under 3 million dollars, no audits are listed, and liquidity outside the Gala ecosystem is limited. Treat it as a niche venue and size trades accordingly.

What is Gala Swap?
Gala Swap is a decentralized exchange built natively on GalaChain, the network behind the Gala ecosystem of games, music, film and nodes. It lets users swap supported tokens from their own wallet and provide liquidity to earn fees.
DefiLlama categorizes it as a DEX on the Gala chain and has tracked it since September 2025. Its TVL is about 2.97 million dollars, down 9.0% over seven days. It has no token of its own listed, and no audits are listed on DefiLlama.
The token list covers GALA, wrapped majors like GWETH, GWBTC and GSOL, the stablecoins GUSDC and GUSDT, and ecosystem tokens such as SILK, MOON, FILM and GMUSIC. Pools use concentrated liquidity, and a leaderboard rewards activity with XP.
How Gala Swap works
Gala Swap is a decentralized exchange that runs on GalaChain. You connect a wallet, choose two tokens and sign a transaction. A smart contract on GalaChain executes the trade against a liquidity pool, so there is no order book or central intermediary holding your funds.
Pools are funded by users called liquidity providers. They deposit a pair of tokens into a concentrated liquidity pool and choose a price range for their capital. When swaps route through that range, they earn a share of the fee. Concentrating capital improves execution for traders but can make positions more sensitive to price moves.
The interface also adds market tracking, a portfolio page and a leaderboard with XP and seasonal competitions. It is operated by GDEX LLC, according to the homepage.

Pros and cons
What we like
- Non-custodial: swaps and liquidity actions are signed from your own wallet
- Fee tiers of typically 0.05%, 0.3% and 1% are published, and the quote previews all costs
- Concentrated liquidity lets providers focus capital where trading happens
- Tight integration with the Gala ecosystem and its token catalogue
- Supports several wallets, including the Gala Wallet, MetaMask via the bridge and Trust Wallet
- Pool pages show APR, volume and TVL before you add liquidity
Watch out for
- Runs only on GalaChain, a niche network, so liquidity and token choice are narrower than on major DEXs
- DefiLlama lists no audits for it, and its homepage does not mention any
- TVL is under 3 million dollars and fell 9.0% over seven days, which suggests thin liquidity for larger trades
- Wrapped assets such as GWETH and GWBTC rely on the GalaChain bridge, which adds bridge risk
- Wallet choice is limited to GalaChain-compatible wallets, so some users need extra setup
- Concentrated liquidity positions are harder for beginners to manage than simple pools
Gala Swap fees
Fees are published on the homepage. Each pool charges a protocol fee, typically 0.05%, 0.3% or 1% depending on the tier, which goes to liquidity providers. On top of that, each transaction pays a network fee in GALA.
The interface shows the quoted output, price impact and network fee before you sign. Bridge costs for moving wrapped assets onto GalaChain are not covered publicly, so check them separately.
Is Gala Swap safe?
DefiLlama lists no audits for Gala Swap, and its homepage does not mention any. That does not mean the contracts are unsafe, but readers have no audit evidence in these facts. The project does not describe incidents either way.
The homepage says the exchange is non-custodial and that GDEX LLC, which operates the interface, never takes custody of funds. Smart-contract risk, bridge risk on wrapped assets and impermanent loss for liquidity providers still apply. Regulatory status is not stated, so check the rules in your jurisdiction.
6 steps
How to get started with Gala Swap
- 1
Set up a GalaChain-compatible wallet such as the Gala Wallet or Trust Wallet.
- 2
Fund the wallet with GALA for network fees and the tokens you want to trade.
- 3
Open the Gala Swap site and click Connect Wallet.
- 4
Select the token to sell and the token to receive, then enter an amount.
- 5
Review the quote, price impact and network fee, then sign the transaction in your wallet.
- 6
Optionally add liquidity to a pool after reading its APR, volume and TVL on the pool page.
Who Gala Swap is for
Gala Swap is for holders of GALA and GalaChain-native tokens who want an on-chain place to swap them or earn fees as liquidity providers. It is less suited to traders who need deep liquidity across many chains, or to users who want audited contracts before depositing.
