ActiveBend Review 2026: Morpho-Style Lending on Berachain
Bend is a Morpho-style lending protocol on Berachain that lets users supply assets to curated vaults and borrow against collateral. It is small and new, with about $10M in TVL, so treat it as an ecosystem tool rather than an established lender.

Our verdict on BEND
6.3/10Bend suits users already active on Berachain who want to earn interest on assets like BUSD through curated vaults, or to borrow against collateral. Its main strength is the proven Morpho-style design with clear vault data. The main caveat is size and track record: about $10M TVL, a recent launch, a falling weekly TVL, and reliance on curators and a single chain. Review the audits and vault details before depositing.

What is BEND?
Bend is a decentralized lending protocol on Berachain. DefiLlama describes it as a fork of Morpho built for lending and borrowing with native Proof-of-Liquidity. It is listed on DefiLlama since October 2025.
The homepage focuses on lending. It shows a total supplied figure of $7.12M and two BUSD vaults, one managed by Re7 and one by Clearstar Reactor. DefiLlama puts TVL near $10M, with a 7-day decline of 8.8%.
Bend sits in the Berachain ecosystem, alongside BeraHub, BUSD, the bridge and governance tools. It has no token of its own according to DefiLlama.
How BEND works
Bend follows the Morpho model. Lenders deposit assets into vaults, and each vault is run by a curator, who chooses which lending markets it supplies. Borrowers post collateral and borrow against it. Interest paid by borrowers is the source of lender yield.
Markets are described as immutable and permissionless. Their parameters are set when created, and anyone can create one. This keeps the core contracts simple but moves risk onto market selection, which is why the curator matters.
Bend is built for Berachain and its Proof-of-Liquidity consensus. The homepage lists BUSD vaults, and one vault shows $4.29M deposited against a $104.63M cap.
5 features
Key features
01
Curated lending vaults
Users deposit assets into vaults and earn interest. The homepage lists vaults run by named curators such as Re7 and Clearstar.
02
Morpho-based markets
DefiLlama says Bend is forked from Morpho and lets anyone create immutable lending markets without permission.
03
Proof-of-Liquidity integration
The protocol is built to work with Berachain's Proof-of-Liquidity design, which aims to align validators with ecosystem projects.
04
Lend and borrow interface
The interface has separate Lend and Borrow sections, plus Explore and Portfolio views to track deposits and supply APY.
05
Bridge and BUSD access
The homepage links to a bridge and a prompt to get BUSD, so users can bring funds onto Berachain.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Based on the Morpho design, which separates markets and vaults
- Vaults show deposits, caps, curator and APY on one screen
- DefiLlama lists two audits
- No separate token needed to use it
- Linked to Berachain's ecosystem tools, including a bridge and BUSD access
Watch out for
- TVL is about $10M, small next to major lending protocols, so liquidity may be thin
- TVL fell 8.8% over the past seven days in the DefiLlama data
- Only available on Berachain, a single chain
- Vault returns depend on third-party curators, whose risk choices users must trust
- Advertised APY is described as retrospective, third-party data that may not match actual earnings
- Fee structure is not published on the homepage
BEND fees
Fees are not published. The homepage shows supply APY but gives no breakdown of protocol fees, curator fees or borrowing rates.
Users would see the net APY for each vault on the Lend page, and borrow rates on the Borrow and Explore pages. Network gas on Berachain applies to every transaction. Bridging may carry its own costs.
Is BEND safe?
DefiLlama lists two audits, but the auditors and findings are not public. Smart-contract risk remains, as does risk from the curators who pick collateral and markets in each vault. Funds are held in on-chain contracts and users keep control of their wallets, but a bug or bad market choice could cause losses.
The protocol is relatively new, with a listing date of October 2025, and holds about $10M in TVL, so it has a limited track record. No hacks or incidents are mentioned publicly. The site's footer says APY data is third-party, retrospective and not guaranteed. This is not financial advice.

Who BEND is for
Bend is for Berachain users who want yield on assets such as BUSD or want to borrow against collateral, and who are comfortable assessing curator and smart-contract risk. It is less suited to users who want a long track record, large liquidity or multi-chain support.
BEND FAQs
What is Bend?
Bend is a decentralized lending protocol on Berachain. DefiLlama describes it as a fork of Morpho that allows permissionless creation of immutable lending markets, with native Proof-of-Liquidity integration.
What yields does Bend show?
The homepage showed up to 6.54% APY on a BUSD vault from Clearstar Reactor and 5.50% on the Re7 BUSD vault. These rates are variable and retrospective, and the site says they should not be relied on as a guarantee.
Which blockchain does Bend use?
Bend runs on Berachain according to DefiLlama. Users need a wallet that can connect to that network and assets on Berachain, and the site links to a bridge for moving funds in.
Is Bend audited?
DefiLlama lists two audits for Bend, but public sources provided do not name the auditors or give the reports. Check the official docs for the reports and read them before depositing. An audit reduces risk but does not remove it.
Does Bend have its own token?
No. DefiLlama shows no token for Bend. The homepage mentions BUSD, a Berachain ecosystem asset, which is what the listed vaults use.
