What Provenance Blockchain and HASH are
Provenance Blockchain is a public, proof-of-stake layer 1 network built with the Cosmos SDK. HASH is its native token. The project describes itself as a sovereign chain, meaning it runs its own validator set and rules rather than living on top of another network. According to the project description, it launched in 2018 and aims to modernize financial markets by giving institutions and users a more transparent and efficient alternative to legacy financial infrastructure.
The chain's main focus is financial services and real-world assets (RWA). Public write-ups say the network has been used to tokenize and record large volumes of financial assets, including loans and related instruments, though exact totals vary by source and we do not verify them here. The Provenance Blockchain Foundation supports the ecosystem.
We list HASH under Layer 1 tokens and Real-world asset tokens. It is a utility and network token rather than a stablecoin or a claim on any specific asset. At the time of writing it ranked around 126th by market capitalization, as of 2026-11-05.
What HASH is used for
Project documentation describes HASH as the utility token used to stake, govern, secure and transact on the network. In practice that breaks down into a few roles.
- Transaction fees: Activity on the chain, including moving assets and running smart contracts, is paid for in HASH.
- Staking and security: Holders can delegate HASH to a validator. Validators help produce blocks and secure the chain, and delegators typically share in rewards, subject to the validator's terms and the risk of penalties for validator misbehavior.
- Governance: Staked HASH carries voting weight on network proposals, in line with how Cosmos SDK chains usually work.
Beyond that, HASH is the base asset in the Provenance ecosystem, which includes institutional financial products built on the chain. Whether holding HASH is needed to use any specific application depends on that application, so check its documentation directly rather than assuming.
Supply and tokenomics
HASH has a stated maximum supply of 100 billion tokens. According to the data at the time of writing, about 59.85 billion were circulating and about 94.98 billion existed in total, as of 2026-11-05. That leaves a gap between circulating and total supply, which can mean locked, vested or otherwise restricted tokens, though the data does not break this down.
The market capitalization was about $329.5 million, while the fully diluted valuation, which assumes the whole maximum supply, was about $522.9 million. The gap between those figures is a reminder that further supply may enter the market over time.
We do not have verified details on the original allocation, vesting schedule, inflation rate or staking reward rate, so we do not state them. For those, consult the project's own tokenomics documentation and on-chain data.
Chains, holding and trading
HASH lives natively on the Provenance Blockchain, which is its own Cosmos SDK chain. It is not listed in our data as the native token of any other chain or issued on other networks, so we do not describe wrapped versions here.
Holding HASH natively usually means using a wallet that supports the Provenance network and, if desired, delegating to a validator through a staking interface. Trading is done through exchanges that list the token. One search result notes that Provenance-native tokens on Figure Markets require a temporary commitment to the exchange to facilitate trades, which is a feature of that venue rather than of the token in general.
Trading activity looked very thin at the time of writing. The reported 24-hour volume was about $1,002 as of 2026-11-05, which is tiny against the market cap. Low volume can make prices swing sharply and make it hard to enter or exit a position at a fair price.
History and notable events
HASH launched alongside the Provenance network, which the project says began in 2018. Our data gives no precise token launch date, so we avoid one.
On price history, the all-time high was about $0.0601 on 2025-09-14. The all-time low was about $0.00415 on 2026-09-24, only a few weeks before the data date. As of 2026-11-05 the price was about $0.0055, down roughly 20% over seven days and about 75% over one year. These are historical facts, not a forecast.
The chain is also widely cited for tokenizing financial assets at scale, but we have no verified list of notable partnerships or events beyond what the project itself publishes, so we do not name any.
Risks to understand
HASH carries the usual risks of a small-cap crypto asset, plus some specific ones.
- Volatility and drawdown: The steep one-year decline and a recent all-time low show how far the price can fall.
- Liquidity: Very low reported trading volume can mean wide spreads and difficulty selling.
- Supply overhang: A large share of the maximum supply is not yet circulating, per the data, which could affect the market if released.
- Adoption risk: The chain's value depends on continued institutional and developer use, which is not guaranteed.
- Staking risks: Delegated tokens may be locked for an unbonding period and can be penalized if a validator misbehaves.
- Exchange-specific rules: Some venues impose their own custody or commitment requirements.

How to store HASH safely
Because HASH is a Cosmos SDK token, the safest approach is usually a self-custody wallet that supports the Provenance network. Hardware wallet support exists through compatible apps, but check the current compatibility instructions before sending funds.
- Write your recovery phrase on paper or metal, store it offline, and never type it into a website or share it.
- Send a small test transaction before moving a large amount.
- Confirm the network and address format before every transfer.
- Choose validators carefully if you stake, and look at their uptime, commission and track record.
- Keep in mind the unbonding period before you stake.
- Beware of impersonation and phishing sites, which are common around staking and airdrop claims.
Leaving tokens on an exchange is convenient for trading but means trusting that platform with custody.
By the numbers
Provenance Blockchain in numbers
Provenance Blockchain (HASH) is ranked #118 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $365M and a price of $0.006102 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $580M, so roughly 63% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 12.5% over 7 days, up 18.3% over 30 days, down 77.0% over the past year. It trades about 90% below its all-time high of $0.0601, set on Sep 14, 2025.
About 59.88B HASH are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 100B (60% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $2.68K, or 0.0% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
