What Grass is
Grass is a decentralized physical infrastructure network, usually grouped under DePIN, that lets people share unused internet bandwidth. Users install a browser extension or app, and their connection is used to route requests. In return they earn rewards that are tracked on an app dashboard.
Public descriptions say the network is aimed at AI companies and others that need large volumes of public web data. Residential connections make that kind of collection look like ordinary traffic from many different locations. GRASS is the token tied to this network.
The token is listed under AI tokens and DePIN tokens, and it is also tagged as part of the Solana ecosystem. Data providers also note that Polychain Capital appears in its investor portfolio. Beyond that, the project description available to us is short, so this page sticks to what is publicly stated and avoids filling gaps with guesses.
What the GRASS token is used for
GRASS is the reward and utility token of the Grass network. Contributors who share bandwidth accumulate points and rewards, which are tied to the token. Third-party guides also describe uses such as staking, governance and paying for activity inside the ecosystem.
Those descriptions vary in detail between sources, and some are written as promotional guides. Treat the specifics of governance rights or fee payments as something to verify in the project's own documentation before relying on them.
In practical terms, the clearest use is as the payout for people who run nodes. The demand side of the model, where buyers of web data pay into the network, is described in general terms but its scale is not something we can confirm.
Supply and tokenomics
The total and maximum supply of GRASS is 1 billion tokens. About 722 million were circulating as of 2026-11-05, roughly 72% of the total, so around 28% was still locked or unreleased.
At about $0.55 per token as of 2026-11-05, the market cap was around $397.6 million and the fully diluted valuation about $550.7 million. The gap between those two figures shows how much future unlocks could add to the circulating amount.
Tokenomics trackers describe a vesting schedule that uses cliff vesting, especially for early investor allocations. Under a cliff, tokens are released in one batch after a waiting period rather than gradually. Unlock events like this can increase the tradable supply on a specific date. Check a current vesting schedule for exact allocations and dates, as we do not have the full breakdown here.
Chains, wallets and trading
GRASS is issued on Solana, so it is held in Solana-compatible wallets and moves with the speed and low fees typical of that network. It is not the native coin of its own blockchain.
It trades on centralized exchanges, and sources mention venues such as Bitget and Gate.io. It was also tagged as a Binance Alpha Spotlight project. Availability depends on your region and the exchange's rules, so check what applies where you live.
As of 2026-11-05, GRASS ranked around 115th by market cap, with about $16.6 million in trading volume over 24 hours. That is meaningful liquidity but far below the largest tokens, so large orders can move the price more than they would on bigger assets.
History and notable events
Grass was launched in late 2024 according to public guides, and the token reached an all-time high of about $3.89 on 2024-11-08. The all-time low in our data was about $0.167 on 2026-02-05, so the token has fallen far from its peak. As of 2026-11-05 it was down about 16% over seven days and up roughly 75% over one year, which shows how sharply the price swings.
The project has also attracted criticism. Some users have written that they felt misled about how their bandwidth would be used and rewarded, describing the network as a botnet that benefits investors. These are opinions from critics, not established findings, but they reflect real concern in parts of the community about transparency and how rewards compare with the value users provide.
Risks to understand
Price volatility is the most obvious risk. The token has dropped by a large margin from its high, and further movement in either direction is possible. Nothing here is a forecast or a suggestion to buy or sell.
Supply risk matters too. Roughly a quarter of the supply was not yet circulating as of 2026-11-05, and scheduled unlocks can add selling pressure.
There are also usage and privacy risks. Sharing your connection means third-party traffic is routed through your network. Depending on how the software works and local law, this could raise security, terms-of-service or legal questions with your internet provider. Read the project's terms carefully before installing anything.
Finally, the demand story depends on AI and data companies actually paying for the service. Reward programs without strong paying demand can lose value over time. Be cautious with the many promotional guides, which often present earning potential in an optimistic light.
How to store GRASS safely
Because GRASS lives on Solana, any reputable Solana wallet can hold it. For larger amounts, a hardware wallet paired with a software wallet gives stronger protection than leaving tokens on an exchange. Write down your recovery phrase offline and never share it or type it into a website.
Be careful with the Grass extension and app. Download them only from official sources, since fake extensions and phishing sites often target airdrop and reward projects. Do not connect your wallet to unfamiliar sites that promise bonus tokens, and review any transaction before signing it.
Consider using a separate wallet for experimenting with new apps, and keep your main holdings in a wallet that you rarely connect to anything. Keep your devices updated and use strong, unique passwords with two-factor authentication on any exchange account.
By the numbers
Grass in numbers
Grass (GRASS) is ranked #119 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $361M and a price of $0.5002 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $500M, so roughly 72% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.
The price was down 14.5% over 7 days, down 26.8% over 30 days, up 60.5% over the past year. It trades about 87% below its all-time high of $3.89, set on Nov 8, 2024.
About 721.96M GRASS are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 1B (72% issued).
24-hour trading volume was about $21.5M, or 6.0% of its market cap: moderate turnover.
GRASS has token contracts on Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

GRASS FAQs
What is Grass (GRASS)?
Grass is a decentralized network where people share unused internet bandwidth and earn rewards in GRASS. The traffic is described as supporting AI companies that need public web data. Rewards are tracked through an app dashboard.
Which blockchain is GRASS on?
GRASS is issued on Solana. It is not the native coin of a separate blockchain, so you hold it in a Solana-compatible wallet.
What is the supply of GRASS?
The total and maximum supply is 1 billion tokens. About 722 million were circulating as of 2026-11-05, so a portion is still locked and may be released under the vesting schedule.
Where can GRASS be traded?
Reports describe it as available on centralized exchanges, with Bitget and Gate.io named in guides. Availability depends on your country and the exchange's rules, so check these before you trade.
Is sharing bandwidth with Grass safe?
Not necessarily. Your connection carries third-party traffic, which can raise security, legal or terms-of-service issues, and some users have criticized how the project handled expectations. Read the official terms and use only official downloads.
Why has the GRASS price changed so much?
The token reached about $3.89 in November 2024 and fell to about $0.167 in February 2026. It was around $0.55 as of 2026-11-05. This is a history of volatility, not a prediction.
What is the market cap of Grass?
As of Nov 6, 2026, Grass had a market cap of about $361M, ranking #119 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
