What ECOMI and OMI are

ECOMI is the company behind the OMI token, and OMI is built around one product: VeVe, a mobile-first platform for licensed digital collectibles. The project describes VeVe as a place where brands, artists and other rights holders release digital collectibles as NFTs, and says more than 8 million of them have been sold since the start of 2021. That figure comes from the project's own description, not an independent audit.

OMI is meant to sit alongside that platform as a loyalty and utility token. The project ties it to the VeVe Master Collector Program, a rewards scheme intended to give collectors extra ways to build and grow their collections. The wording in the project's own text is cautious: the token is described as intended for use in VeVe, and certain features are described as arriving only when available.

In short, OMI is not a general-purpose blockchain coin and does not secure its own network. It is a token issued by a company to support a specific consumer app. At the time of writing it ranks around 372 by market capitalisation, which makes it a mid-to-small cap asset.

What OMI is used for

The project says OMI is intended for use within the VeVe digital collectibles ecosystem. Its core purpose is to enhance the collecting experience through the VeVe Master Collector Program, which is a loyalty scheme for people who collect on the platform.

Secondary sources describe a broader set of uses, including in-app purchases, staking, loyalty perks and access to premium features. Some describe it as a medium of exchange for buying and selling collectibles inside VeVe. These descriptions vary between sources, and the exact features that are live at any moment depend on decisions made by ECOMI and VeVe, so check the current VeVe app before assuming a use exists.

One point worth stating plainly: holding OMI does not mean owning any particular NFT. The collectibles are separate items, and the token is a different asset that can be traded on its own. People who buy OMI purely as a market position are taking on a different kind of exposure from people who use it to take part in the VeVe loyalty programme.

Supply and tokenomics

The supply figures are large because the token was designed with a very high unit count. As of 2026-11-05, about 270.95 billion OMI were circulating, around 310.88 billion existed in total, and the maximum supply is listed as 750 billion. That means roughly a third of the maximum has not yet been issued.

The gap between circulating and total supply matters. Tokens that exist but are not circulating are typically locked, held in reserve or allocated to the team or ecosystem, and they can enter the market later. The fully diluted valuation, about $73.3 million at the time of writing, compares with a market cap of about $63.9 million. Fully diluted value uses the total supply, so the difference reflects tokens that are not yet in circulation.

The price was about $0.000236 on that date, so each token is worth a tiny fraction of a cent. A low unit price says nothing about whether a token is cheap or expensive. What counts is the supply multiplied by the price. I could not find a verified breakdown of allocations, vesting schedules or emission rules, so those details are not covered here.

Chains, holding and trading

OMI is issued on Ethereum and on Base, an Ethereum layer-2 network. It is not the native coin of any chain, so you need the network's own coin, such as ETH on Ethereum or Base, to pay transaction fees when you move it.

Because it is a standard token on EVM-compatible networks, it can be held in any wallet that supports those networks. Wallets come in two broad types: non-custodial, where you control the keys, and custodial, such as an exchange account, where the platform holds the tokens for you. Trading takes place mainly on centralised exchanges and on decentralised exchanges that list the token. Liquidity is modest compared with large assets. Reported 24-hour volume was about $706,816 as of 2026-11-05, which can make larger orders move the price.

Public reporting also reference a migration involving Immutable and swap options for holders. I could not confirm the details, such as who must act, deadlines or which version of the token is current. Anyone holding older tokens should read official ECOMI announcements carefully and verify every step before moving funds.

History and notable events

The earliest price on record is a low of about $0.00000337 on 2019-11-04, so the token was already trading by late 2019. An exact launch date is not given in the data I have, so I will not state one.

OMI reached its all-time high of about $0.0134 on 2021-03-19, during the broad crypto and NFT boom of that period. The project's own description points to 2021 as the year VeVe's collectible sales took off. Since then the price has fallen far below that peak. As of 2026-11-05 it was about 98 percent under the high, although it was up about 110 percent over the previous year, from a low base, and down about 7 percent over the last seven days.

Those swings show how volatile the token is, and past moves are not a guide to future ones. Beyond the exchange listing announcements and the migration mentioned in public reporting, I have not verified any other notable events, such as hacks, audits or major partnerships, so I am leaving them out rather than guessing.

Risks to understand

The biggest risk is concentration. OMI's value depends heavily on one platform, VeVe, and on one issuer, ECOMI. If collector interest in digital collectibles fades, if licensing partners leave, or if the company changes how the token fits into the app, the token's role could shrink. The company controls much of the product, which is a different risk from a fully decentralised protocol.

Other risks to weigh:

  • Volatility: the price has swung hugely, and it sits far below its 2021 high.
  • Liquidity: daily volume is small relative to market cap, so exits can be costly.
  • Supply overhang: tokens not yet circulating could add selling pressure later.
  • Migration confusion: token swaps are a common target for impersonators.
  • Scams: fake airdrops, copycat tokens and phishing sites often target popular collectible projects.
  • Regulation: rules for NFTs, loyalty tokens and exchanges differ by country and can change.

Nothing here is investment advice. Only commit money you could afford to lose, and do your own research before trading.

How to store OMI safely

For anything beyond small amounts, a non-custodial wallet gives you direct control. A hardware wallet that supports Ethereum and Base adds protection by keeping private keys offline. Software wallets are more convenient but are exposed if your phone or computer is compromised.

Practical steps:

  • Write your recovery phrase on paper, store it offline, and never type it into a website or share it with anyone, including anyone claiming to be support.
  • Check which network your OMI is on before sending. Ethereum and Base are separate networks, and a mismatch can make funds hard to recover.
  • Confirm the contract address from official ECOMI channels instead of searching for it, since fake tokens with the same name exist.
  • Send a small test transaction first.
  • Keep a little ETH for fees on the relevant network.
  • Be wary of unsolicited messages, surprise token approvals and unofficial migration sites.

Leaving tokens on an exchange is simpler, but you depend on that company's security and withdrawal policies. If a migration or swap is announced, follow only the instructions published by the official project accounts.

By the numbers

ECOMI in numbers

ECOMI (OMI) is ranked #376 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $61.5M and a price of $0.0002270 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation is $70.6M, so roughly 87% of the eventual supply is in circulation today; tokens still to be released could add selling pressure.

The price was down 8.8% over 7 days, down 15.5% over 30 days, up 81.2% over the past year. It trades about 98% below its all-time high of $0.0134, set on Mar 19, 2021.

About 270.95B OMI are in circulation out of a maximum supply of 750B (36% issued).

24-hour trading volume was about $761K, or 1.2% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.

OMI has token contracts on 2 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

OMI is linked to Ecomi, which we cover in our Collectibles rankings. See our Ecomi page for how the protocol works and how we score it.

OMI FAQs

What is ECOMI (OMI)?

OMI is the token linked to VeVe, a mobile platform for licensed digital collectibles. The project says it is intended to support the VeVe Master Collector Program and other uses inside the ecosystem. Which features are live depends on the platform at any given time.

Does owning OMI mean I own VeVe NFTs?

No. OMI is a separate token, and holding it does not give you ownership of any specific NFT. The collectibles on VeVe are distinct items, and OMI is meant to work alongside them as a utility and loyalty asset.

What is the maximum supply of OMI?

The maximum supply is listed as 750 billion OMI. As of 2026-11-05, about 270.95 billion were circulating and around 310.88 billion existed in total, so a portion of the maximum has not yet been issued.

Which blockchains does OMI run on?

The data shows OMI issued on Ethereum and on Base. It is not the native coin of any blockchain, so you need ETH on the relevant network to pay fees. Public reporting also mention a migration involving Immutable, so check official announcements for the current status.

Will OMI go up in price?

No one can say. The price has been highly volatile and was far below its 2021 peak as of 2026-11-05, even after rising over the past year. This page does not predict prices or give buy or sell advice.

How should I store OMI?

Use a non-custodial wallet that supports Ethereum and Base, ideally a hardware wallet for larger holdings. Keep your recovery phrase offline, confirm the contract address from official sources, and be cautious about any swap or migration site you did not reach through verified official channels.

What is the market cap of ECOMI?

As of Nov 6, 2026, ECOMI had a market cap of about $61.5M, ranking #376 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.

What is the all-time high of OMI?

ECOMI's all-time high is $0.0134, reached on Mar 19, 2021. Its all-time low is $0.000003370 (Nov 4, 2019). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
