What apyUSD is
apyUSD is the yield-bearing share token of the Apyx protocol. It follows the ERC-4626 vault standard and sits on top of apxUSD, Apyx's USD-denominated stablecoin. According to the project, apxUSD is backed by preferred equity shares issued by Digital Asset Treasury (DAT) companies, which are firms that hold crypto on their balance sheets and raise money by selling preferred stock.
The flow is simple. A user deposits apxUSD into the Apyx yield vault and receives apyUSD in return. The vault collects the cash dividends paid by the underlying preferred shares. Instead of sending payouts to holders, it raises the apyUSD-to-apxUSD exchange rate over time, so each apyUSD redeems for slightly more apxUSD as income accrues.
This is the same accrual idea used by Maker's sDAI and Ethena's sUSDe. apyUSD is not a pegged stablecoin in itself. Its price is expected to drift upward against the dollar as yield builds up, which is why it trades above $1.
What the token is used for
The main use of apyUSD is to earn passive yield on a dollar-denominated position without staking or claiming rewards by hand. The yield shows up as a rising exchange rate, so simply holding the token is enough.
Beyond holding, the protocol lists two DeFi integrations. Pendle is used for yield tokenization and trading, which lets people split or trade the yield stream separately from the principal. Morpho is used for lending, where apyUSD can serve as collateral for borrowing.
The companion token, apxUSD, acts as the protocol's liquidity layer. Public descriptions say apxUSD is minted against deposits of DAT preferred shares and that redemptions settle in USDC. apyUSD is the side of the pair that captures the dividend income from that collateral basket.
The token has no publicly described governance or fee-sharing role in the material reviewed here. Its purpose is yield accrual and use as a building block in other DeFi apps.
Supply and tokenomics
At the time of writing (as of 2026-11-05), about 106.2 million apyUSD are in circulation. The total supply is the same figure, and no maximum supply is listed. Supply is not fixed in the way many tokens are. As an ERC-4626 vault share, apyUSD is minted when users deposit apxUSD and burned when they redeem, so the count moves with deposits and withdrawals.
The price was about $1.41, giving a market capitalization and fully diluted value of roughly $150.1 million. That put it around rank 205 by market cap. Trading volume over the previous 24 hours was about $2.1 million, which is modest compared with the size of the supply. The price moved only slightly over the prior seven days, about -0.2%.
There is no team allocation, vesting schedule or emissions program in the information available. Value comes from the dividend income flowing into the vault rather than from token issuance. Because the price reflects an accruing exchange rate, a price above $1 is expected and does not signal an unusual premium by itself.
Chains and how it is held or traded
The project describes apyUSD as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, where the vault lives. Market data also lists versions on Base, BNB Chain and Solana. The material reviewed does not explain how those versions are produced, so readers should check which contract they are dealing with before moving funds. Tokens on other chains are often bridged or wrapped representations, and these carry their own bridge and contract risks.
In general terms, there are two ways to hold apyUSD. One is to deposit apxUSD into the Apyx vault and receive the token directly. The other is to buy it on a decentralized exchange or a centralized venue that lists it. Redemption through the vault returns apxUSD, which the protocol says can then be redeemed into USDC.
On-chain liquidity can be thin compared with large stablecoins. With daily volume of a couple of million dollars, larger trades may move the price. Check the pool depth and the exchange rate shown by the vault before swapping, and compare the market price with the vault's redemption value.
History and notable events
Apyx presents itself as a way to bring cash flows from dividend-bearing preferred securities on-chain. Coverage from late May 2026 described a dual-token model, with apxUSD as the dollar-pegged token and apyUSD as the one that accrues yield. A headline from that period also referred to the stablecoins as being based on a particular preferred security. A later project overview dated September 2026 repeats the same two-token structure.
The exact launch date is not stated in the data available. The price history shows unusual extremes. The recorded all-time high is about $4,800 on 2026-04-16, which is far from any value consistent with a vault share worth roughly $1 to $1.50. It most likely reflects a thin-liquidity trade or a data error, so it should not be used as a reference point. The recorded all-time low is about $0.97 on 2026-06-26.
The protocol names Anchorage Digital and BitGo as custodians for the underlying preferred share collateral. No other notable events, audits or incidents are covered in the material reviewed here.
Risks to understand
apyUSD combines several layers of risk, and a stable-looking price does not remove them.
Collateral risk. Yield depends on dividends from DAT preferred shares. These companies are tied to crypto markets, and preferred dividends can be suspended, cut or deferred. Preferred shares can also fall in value, which affects the backing of apxUSD.
Peg and redemption risk. apxUSD has traded slightly below $1 in public data, at about $0.99. Redemptions go through the protocol, and the speed, limits and fees of that process matter in stressed markets.
Smart contract and bridge risk. Vaults, integrations with Pendle and Morpho, and any cross-chain versions all add code that could fail.
Custody and counterparty risk. Off-chain collateral held by third-party custodians relies on legal and operational arrangements that on-chain users cannot easily verify.
Liquidity risk. Trading volume is modest, so exiting a large position may cost more than expected.

How to store it safely
apyUSD is a standard ERC-20 token, so it works with common Ethereum wallets. For larger amounts, a hardware wallet is the usual choice because the private keys stay offline. Keep the recovery phrase written down offline and never share it or type it into a website.
Before buying or depositing, verify the contract address on the project's official channels and on a block explorer. Fake tokens with similar names are common, and the same ticker can appear on several chains. Make sure the network in your wallet matches the version you intend to hold.
When approving a dApp such as a vault, Pendle or Morpho, review the permission you grant and avoid unlimited approvals where possible. Revoke approvals you no longer need. Consider testing with a small transaction first, and be wary of direct messages offering support, yield boosts or airdrops. If you hold the token on a lending protocol as collateral, monitor your loan health, since a price or exchange rate move could trigger liquidation.
By the numbers
apyUSD in numbers
apyUSD (APYUSD) is ranked #203 by market capitalisation, with a market cap of about $148M and a price of $1.41 as of Nov 6, 2026. Its fully diluted valuation ($148M) is close to its market cap, so little new supply is still to come.
The price was down 0.4% over 7 days, down 0.1% over 30 days. It trades about 100% below its all-time high of $4,800, set on Apr 16, 2026.
About 105.54M APYUSD are in circulation. No hard maximum supply is listed, so new tokens can still be issued.
24-hour trading volume was about $1.83M, or 1.2% of its market cap: low turnover, so large orders can move the price.
APYUSD has token contracts on 4 chains we track, including Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Solana. Always check the contract address before buying or bridging: copycat tokens often reuse a well-known name and ticker.

APYUSD FAQs
Why is apyUSD worth more than $1?
apyUSD is a vault share, not a fixed-peg stablecoin. Its exchange rate against apxUSD rises as dividend income accrues, so its price drifts upward over time. At the time of writing, the price was about $1.41.
How does apyUSD earn yield?
A user deposits apxUSD into the Apyx yield vault and receives apyUSD. Dividends from the underlying DAT preferred shares raise the exchange rate, so holders earn without staking or claiming. Redeeming the token returns apxUSD.
What is the difference between apxUSD and apyUSD?
apxUSD is Apyx's USD-denominated stablecoin, which the project says is backed by DAT preferred shares. apyUSD is the yield-bearing wrapper around it. apxUSD acts as the liquidity layer, while apyUSD captures the dividend income.
Is apyUSD safe?
Not necessarily. The yield depends on dividends from preferred shares, which can change, and the system carries smart contract, custody, redemption and liquidity risks. Nothing about the yield is guaranteed, and this page is not financial advice.
Which blockchains is apyUSD on?
The project describes it as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Market data also lists versions on Base, BNB Chain and Solana. Check the contract address and network before transacting, since those versions may be bridged or wrapped.
Why does apyUSD show an all-time high near $4,800?
The listed all-time high of about $4,800 on 2026-04-16 is far outside the token's normal range. It most likely comes from a thin-liquidity trade or a data error, so it should not be treated as a real valuation.
What is the market cap of apyUSD?
As of Nov 6, 2026, apyUSD had a market cap of about $148M, ranking #203 among cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation. Market cap is price multiplied by circulating supply, so it moves with the price.
What is the all-time high of APYUSD?
apyUSD's all-time high is $4,800, reached on Apr 16, 2026. Its all-time low is $0.9736 (Jun 26, 2026). Past prices say nothing about future returns.
What is the circulating supply of APYUSD?
As of Nov 6, 2026, about 105.54M APYUSD were in circulation; no fixed maximum supply is listed.
Which blockchains is APYUSD on?
It has token contracts on Ethereum, Base, BNB Chain, Solana.
