Our verdict on Tonco

5.0/10

Tonco suits users already active on TON who understand liquidity provision and want concentrated liquidity through a Telegram app. Its main strength is the range-based pool design, which can improve capital efficiency for providers who manage positions actively. The main caveat is that it is mid-migration between v1 and v2, and the sources behind this review publish no audit, fee schedule or licensing details. Read the current migration notice and check the pool terms before committing funds.

What is Tonco?

Tonco is a decentralized exchange on the TON blockchain. It lets users swap tokens and lets liquidity providers deposit token pairs into pools to earn trading fees. Its defining feature is concentrated liquidity, where providers select a price range for their capital instead of spreading it across all prices.

The project is reached through a Telegram Mini App, which places its trading interface inside the Telegram messaging app. Public reporting shows promotions and points programs tied to liquidity provision, which suggests the project relies on user incentives to attract capital.

Tonco's status is in transition. Its v1 pools were paused for adding liquidity and swaps during a v2 upgrade, so users should check which version their positions sit in. A 2024 announcement also described the project as a DEX plus prediction market, a feature that is outside the core exchange and carries its own risks.

How Tonco works

Tonco is a decentralized exchange, or DEX. Instead of matching buyers and sellers in an order book, it uses liquidity pools. Liquidity providers deposit a pair of tokens into a pool, and traders swap one token for the other against that pool. The price is set by the ratio of tokens in the pool.

Tonco uses concentrated liquidity. A provider chooses a price range and places capital only inside it. Because more capital sits near the current price, trades can execute with less slippage, and providers in the active range can earn a larger share of fees than they would across the full price curve. The trade-off is that a position stops earning when the price leaves its range.

The exchange runs on TON and can be reached through a Telegram Mini App. Third-party write-ups describe its v1 pools as having adjustable fees, and the project has moved to a v2 version, during which adding liquidity and swaps were paused for v1 pools.

4 features

Key features

01

Concentrated liquidity pools

Pools that let providers concentrate capital within chosen price ranges, aimed at higher fee returns and lower slippage for traders.

02

Telegram Mini App access

Access through a Telegram Mini App, so users can trade without installing a separate desktop application.

03

Swap, pools and farms

Swap and pool screens, plus a farms section and analytics pages, as shown on the project's interface.

04

V1 points program

Reported V1 points activity, where users earn points for taking part in the exchange before any token is confirmed.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Concentrated liquidity can deliver higher fee returns to providers who choose ranges carefully
  • Telegram Mini App access keeps the trading interface within a widely used app
  • Swap, pool and farm screens cover the main DEX functions in one place
  • Non-custodial design, as typical of DEXes, means users keep control of their own wallet funds

Watch out for

  • Tonco does not publish audit reports or a clear list of smart-contract auditors in the sources behind this review
  • Concentrated liquidity means providers must choose price ranges and can earn nothing when prices move outside them
  • Its v1 pools were paused for adding liquidity and swaps during a v2 upgrade, so users depend on the project's migration timing
  • Specific fee amounts are not published, which makes cost comparisons harder
  • A 2024 announcement describes a prediction market feature, which carries betting-style risk and legal questions in many places

Tonco fees

Tonco does not publish specific fee amounts in the sources behind this review. One third-party write-up reports that pool fees adjust to the assets being traded, so the rate can differ between pairs.

Fee rates, price impact and migration costs appear on the swap and pool screens at the moment of each transaction. Compare the quoted output and fee before confirming, because the rate on a given pair can change.

Is Tonco safe?

Tonco does not publish audit reports or a named auditor in the sources behind this review. Users should treat that gap as a reason for caution, not as proof of a problem.

As a decentralized exchange, trades run through smart contracts from the user's own wallet. That removes custody risk by the project but leaves smart-contract risk, meaning a bug or exploit in the code could cause loss. The v1 to v2 migration adds another layer, since moving liquidity between versions involves transactions that can fail or cost fees.

No incidents, regulatory actions or licensing details are stated in the material behind this review. The prediction market feature, if active, is betting-style and is restricted to adults in many places. Check that it is legal where you live, use it only if you are 18 or older, and keep to limits you set in advance.

5 steps

How to get started with Tonco

  1. 1

Confirm you are on the official Tonco site or Telegram Mini App and not a copy.

  2. 2

Connect a TON wallet that you control and hold a small amount of TON for network costs.

  3. 3

Review the swap screen and confirm the quoted output and fee before signing.

  4. 4

To provide liquidity, pick a pair and choose a price range, understanding that funds outside it earn nothing.

  5. 5

Check whether your v1 position needs migrating to v2 and follow the project's current instructions.

Who Tonco is for

Tonco is aimed at active TON users who are comfortable with DEX trading and liquidity provision. It suits people who will read price ranges, track positions and accept that funds outside a range stop earning. Casual users who want simple fixed-price trading may find a standard AMM pool easier to understand.

Tonco FAQs

What is Tonco?

Tonco is a decentralized exchange on TON. Users swap tokens from a pool of funds that other users supply, and liquidity providers earn a share of trading fees.

What does concentrated liquidity mean on Tonco?

Concentrated liquidity lets a provider place funds inside a chosen price range instead of across the whole price curve. Capital in the active range can earn more fees, and trades usually see less slippage. Funds outside the range earn nothing until the price moves back into it.

What are Tonco fees?

Tonco does not publish specific fee amounts in the sources behind this review. One third-party write-up reports that pool fees adjust to the assets being traded. Check the swap and pool screens before any trade.

Is Tonco safe to use?

Tonco does not publish audit reports in the material behind this review, so users cannot confirm contract review from the project alone. Decentralized exchanges carry smart-contract risk, and a new upgrade adds migration risk. Only commit funds you can afford to lose.
