Our verdict on SaucerSwap V2
7.2/10SaucerSwap V2 suits users already on Hedera who want swaps, concentrated-liquidity pools and an order book in one self-custody app. Its main strength is a documented audit trail, open-source code and a transparent token-supply dashboard. The main caveat is scale: TVL is modest at about 14.5 million USD, fee rates are not published publicly, and the audits are spread across different versions. Anyone providing liquidity should understand concentrated ranges and impermanent loss first.

What is SaucerSwap V2?
SaucerSwap V2 is the concentrated-liquidity version of SaucerSwap, a decentralized exchange built on Hedera. DefiLlama describes it as an automated market maker that uses the Hedera Smart Contract Service to bring Solidity contracts together with the Hedera Token Service. The project says it has been live on Hedera since 2022.
The interface covers swapping, limit orders and order-book trading, liquidity pools, SAUCE staking, a bridge section, governance and a dashboard. The site also points to a mobile app and a public read-only API for developers.
On DefiLlama, SaucerSwap V2 is tracked as a DEX on Hedera with about 14.5 million USD in TVL, down 4.6% over seven days, and it has been listed since March 31, 2025. The project's own site is more open about security than the aggregator data, with an open-source code repository and a list of published audits.
How SaucerSwap V2 works
SaucerSwap V2 is an automated market maker. Instead of matching buyers and sellers one by one, traders swap against pools of tokens that liquidity providers deposit. A pricing formula sets the exchange rate based on what is in the pool.
V2 uses concentrated liquidity. A provider picks a price range, and their funds work only while the market price is inside it. That can earn more fees per dollar deposited but makes position management more active. The site also offers an order book, so users can place limit orders as well as swap.
The SAUCE token ties into this. Users can stake SAUCE to receive xSAUCE, which is credited with scheduled emissions from the MasterChef contract and buyback distributions. The homepage says the supply is capped at 1 billion minted SAUCE and that its charts use verifiable mainnet data.

Key features
01
Token swaps
Swap tokens through automated market maker pools on Hedera, directly from a connected wallet.
02
Concentrated-liquidity pools
The V2 core uses concentrated liquidity, which lets liquidity providers target a price range instead of spreading funds across all prices.
03
Order book and limit orders
Users can place limit orders and order-book trades alongside pool swaps, and the public API exposes books, depth and trades.
04
SAUCE staking and xSAUCE
SAUCE can be staked for xSAUCE, which receives scheduled emissions and buyback distributions.
05
Transparent supply dashboard
The homepage shows supply, burn and inflation charts for SAUCE, based on mainnet data with its methodology explained.
06
Public developer API
A read-only public API serves order-book markets, depth and trades with no authentication, for developers building on the venue.
07
Mobile app and extra tools
The site includes Stocks, Bridge and Governance sections, and a mobile app for portfolio tracking, staking and exploring Hedera.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Built natively for Hedera, with swaps, pools and an order book in one app.
- Self-custody: users trade from their own wallet.
- Public audit list covering V1, V2 concentrated liquidity, V3 contracts and the wallet app.
- Open-source code and an on-site supply dashboard that explains its methodology.
- A public read-only API gives developers access to books, depth and trades.
- Live on Hedera since 2022, so it has a multi-year operating record.
Watch out for
- TVL is modest at roughly 14.5 million USD, and it fell 4.6% over seven days, so liquidity depth on smaller pairs may be limited.
- DefiLlama lists no audits for this entry, so users have to check the audit list on the project's own site.
- The V2 audit (Omniscia, September 2023) is older than the newer V3 contracts, which Halborn audited in May 2026.
- It runs only on Hedera, so users need a Hedera-compatible wallet and HBAR to pay network costs.
- Swap and pool fee rates are not given, so costs cannot be compared in advance.
- The token economics are complex (emissions, devcut, buybacks, burns, xSAUCE), and a share of emissions goes to a Dev Fund.
SaucerSwap V2 fees
Swap fees, pool fee tiers and any protocol fee rates are not published publicly available for this review, so we do not quote numbers. Users would see the fee for a specific pair when they set up a swap or add liquidity in the app.
The homepage does describe how protocol revenue is used. In Phase 1 of the buyback distribution, 40% goes to xSAUCE, 30% to the Dev Fund, 10% to burn and 20% to POL plus the Incentive Reserve. On any Hedera transaction you also pay a network fee in HBAR.
Is SaucerSwap V2 safe?
SaucerSwap says it is self-custody, so funds stay in the user's wallet rather than with an operator. The main risks are smart-contract bugs, price swings, impermanent loss for liquidity providers, and the risks of the Hedera network and any bridged assets.
The homepage lists audits by Halborn (May 2026, V3 contracts), Quantstamp (July 2025, wallet app, key creation and storage), Omniscia (September 2023, V2 concentrated-liquidity core) and Hacken (July 2022, V1 core, MasterChef and staking). DefiLlama lists zero audits for this entry, so check the audit reports yourself. The project does not mention any incidents or exploits.
The site carries a disclaimer for UK residents saying it is a tool for interacting with the protocol on the user's own initiative and not a recommendation to trade cryptoassets. Check the rules where you live before using it.
6 steps
How to get started with SaucerSwap V2
- 1
Check that using DeFi trading tools is permitted where you live, and read the disclaimer shown on the site, which includes a notice for UK residents.
- 2
Set up a Hedera-compatible wallet and fund it with HBAR to cover network fees.
- 3
Open the SaucerSwap app and use Connect to link your wallet.
- 4
Start with a small swap and look at the fee and price impact shown before you confirm.
- 5
If you want to provide liquidity, read how concentrated-liquidity ranges work and the risk of impermanent loss first.
- 6
Review the audit list and the supply dashboard on the site before staking SAUCE for xSAUCE.
Who SaucerSwap V2 is for
SaucerSwap V2 is for people who already use Hedera or want to, and who prefer trading from their own wallet. It also suits liquidity providers who are comfortable managing price ranges, and developers who want the public order-book API. It is a poor fit for anyone who needs deep multi-chain liquidity.
SaucerSwap V2 FAQs
What is SaucerSwap V2?
SaucerSwap V2 is the concentrated-liquidity version of SaucerSwap, a decentralized exchange on the Hedera network. Users can swap tokens, provide liquidity to pools and place order-book trades from their own wallets.
Which blockchain does SaucerSwap V2 use?
It runs on Hedera. SaucerSwap says it has been live there since 2022 and is built around Hedera's Smart Contract Service and Token Service.
What is the SAUCE token for?
SAUCE is the protocol's native token, with a 1 billion minted cap. It can be staked for xSAUCE, and the protocol's buyback distributions go partly to the xSAUCE pool.
Has SaucerSwap been audited?
The homepage lists published audits from Halborn (May 2026, V3 contracts), Quantstamp (July 2025, wallet app), Omniscia (September 2023, V2 concentrated-liquidity core) and Hacken (July 2022, V1 core, MasterChef and staking). An audit lowers risk but does not remove it. DefiLlama separately lists zero audits for this entry.
Is SaucerSwap custodial?
Public sources say the app is self-custody, so you trade from your own wallet and the protocol does not hold your funds. You still carry smart-contract, price and impermanent-loss risk when providing liquidity.
What are the fees on SaucerSwap V2?
The project does not state swap or pool fee rates. They appear in the trading interface when you set up a swap or open a liquidity position, so check them before you confirm.
