Our verdict on RISEx

6.5/10

RISEx suits experienced derivatives traders and bot developers who want an onchain orderbook with fast updates and API access, and who are comfortable with a new venue. Its main strengths are the orderbook design, the speed it advertises and a meaningful TVL for its age. The main caveat is the lack of published audits, fees and team details, plus the short track record. Size deposits as you would for any unaudited, early-stage protocol.

What is RISEx?

RISEx is a fully onchain perpetuals exchange built on RISE Chain. It pitches itself as a unified exchange where traders use a composable orderbook with 1ms updates, and where idle collateral can earn yield.

The project is a flagship product of the RISE platform, which announced in late 2025 a move beyond being only a fast layer 2. RISEx is meant to bootstrap liquidity for that ecosystem. DefiLlama lists it under derivatives with roughly $21.9M in TVL, up 4.3% over seven days, and shows it listed since May 2026.

The team, fee schedule, audits and native token are not published on the homepage. That leaves a promising but unproven venue for readers who want to judge it on its own record.

How RISEx works

A perpetual futures contract lets you take a leveraged long or short position on an asset's price with no expiry date. You post collateral as margin, and a funding payment between longs and shorts keeps the contract price close to the spot price. If your margin falls too low, the position is liquidated.

RISEx runs this model on RISE Chain, using a fully onchain orderbook. Buyers and sellers post bids and offers, and trades match against those orders instead of against a pool. The project says the book updates every 1ms and that the chain is secured by Ethereum.

The homepage also says idle collateral can earn yield. It does not explain how, so the source of that yield and any extra risk should be checked in the app. A public API lets traders and developers connect automated strategies to the orderbook.

6 features

Key features

01

Onchain perpetuals orderbook

Perpetual contracts trade on a fully onchain orderbook, which is the core product and the basis of the exchange.

02

1ms orderbook updates

The project advertises 1ms updates, aiming for exchange-like responsiveness while trading remains onchain.

03

Yield on idle collateral

Idle collateral can be put to work to earn yield, according to the homepage. The mechanics are not detailed.

04

Programmatic API access

A RISEx API is reported as live, offering programmatic access to the orderbook for bots and algorithmic traders.

05

Passkey-based RISE Wallet

The wider RISE platform has a wallet that signs in with a passkey instead of a seed phrase, which lowers the barrier for new users.

06

Composable liquidity

The project describes the exchange as composable and programmable, so other applications can build on its liquidity.

Pros and cons

What we like

  • Fully onchain orderbook rather than a pooled pricing model
  • Advertised 1ms updates aim at centralized-exchange-like speed
  • Public API for programmatic and bot trading
  • Passkey wallet in the RISE ecosystem avoids seed phrase handling
  • Idle collateral can reportedly earn yield
  • Meaningful TVL of about $21.9M shortly after listing

Watch out for

  • No audits are listed, so smart-contract risk is unquantified
  • Listed only since May 2026, so the track record is very short
  • Fee schedule, funding rates and liquidation rules are not published on the homepage
  • Runs on RISE Chain, a newer network with less liquidity and tooling than major chains
  • Leveraged perpetuals can cause rapid losses, including total loss of margin
  • No native token is listed, so incentive or points details are unclear

RISEx fees

RISEx does not publish a fee schedule on its homepage. Trading fees, funding rates, liquidation fees and withdrawal costs are not stated.

Users should check the fee tiers and funding rates inside the trading app before placing an order. On any perpetuals venue, funding payments and network gas costs can matter as much as headline trading fees.

Is RISEx safe?

No audits are listed for RISEx, and the team behind it is not named on the homepage. The venue was listed only in May 2026, so it has a short operating history. Smart-contract, chain-level and oracle risks all apply, as does the added risk of using a newer network.

The project says RISE Chain is secured by Ethereum, but the technical detail of that security model is not set out in its homepage. Users should read the project's documentation on custody, bridging and liquidation rules before depositing. No hacks or incidents appear.

Perpetuals are leveraged and can lead to the loss of all margin. Participation is for adults only, 18+ at minimum, and users should confirm that derivatives trading is allowed in their jurisdiction.

6 steps

How to get started with RISEx

  1. 1

Check that trading leveraged derivatives is legal and appropriate where you live.

  2. 2

Open the official RISEx site and use the trade or app button to reach the exchange.

  3. 3

Set up a wallet. The RISE Wallet uses a passkey, and other compatible wallets may also work.

  4. 4

Bring collateral onto RISE Chain by following the in-app deposit instructions.

  5. 5

Review the fees, funding rates and margin rules shown for your chosen market.

  6. 6

Start with a small position and low leverage, and set your own risk limits before scaling up.

Who RISEx is for

RISEx is aimed at active perpetuals traders who want an onchain alternative to a centralized exchange, and at developers building bots or strategies through the API. It is not a good fit for beginners, for anyone unwilling to accept leverage and smart-contract risk, or for people who need a long public track record before depositing.
