Our verdict on PlunderSwap V3
PlunderSwap V3 is a closed chapter rather than a product to start using. It was an early DEX on the Zilliqa EVM, but the team says liquidity has left the chain and the site goes offline on 26 November 2026. Existing liquidity providers should withdraw before then and avoid the delisted tokens. The ZRC2 exploit and X-Bridge hack are the main caveats. Anyone interested in the design can look at the open-source frontend, but without liquidity there is little reason to trade here.

What is PlunderSwap V3?
PlunderSwap V3 was a decentralized exchange built on the Zilliqa EVM. DefiLlama describes it as the first DEX on Zilliqa EVM, and it has been tracked since December 2024. The site offered swaps, liquidity pools, bridge links, ZIL staking and stats pages.
The project has announced that it is shutting down. Its homepage says there is no longer any liquidity on Zilliqa, and that Zilliqa is becoming an Ethereum Layer 2 for regulated institutions, so the DEX is no longer needed. The site goes offline on 26 November 2026.
The homepage also carries two security warnings. A Zilliqa node bug let ZRC2-backed tokens be spent without leaving the sender, which was used to drain pools. Separately, about $800k was stolen from X-Bridge, leaving tokens bridged through it unbacked. Tracked TVL is only around $6.8k.
How PlunderSwap V3 works
PlunderSwap is an automated market maker. Instead of matching buyers and sellers in an order book, traders swap against pools of tokens that liquidity providers have deposited. A pricing formula sets the exchange rate based on the pool's balance.
Liquidity providers deposit token pairs and earn a share of the fees from trades in their pool. The V3 label points to the concentrated-liquidity design popularised by Uniswap V3, but the homepage does not describe the mechanism.
The model only works when pools hold real, backed assets. That is why the ZRC2 exploit and the X-Bridge hack mattered. Both left tokens unbacked or drainable, and the project removed them from its token list.
6 features
Key features
01
Token swaps
The trading interface let users swap tokens on the Zilliqa EVM through on-chain liquidity pools.
02
Liquidity pools
Users could deposit tokens into pools and earn a share of trading activity. The V3 label suggests concentrated liquidity, though the homepage does not spell this out.
03
Bridge and cross-chain links
The site linked to a bridge page and a cross-chain option for moving assets onto Zilliqa.
04
ZIL staking
Users could stake ZIL through the project's validator, which the team says will keep running after the DEX closes.
05
Analytics pages
Info, Stats and Validator Insights pages gave users data on the exchange and its validator.
06
Open-source frontend
The frontend code is open source, so others can host their own version of the interface.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Clear shutdown notice with a firm offline date, so users know the timeline
- Users are told plainly to withdraw liquidity before the site closes
- Affected tokens were removed from the token list and warnings were posted on the homepage
- The staking validator will keep running after the DEX closes
- The frontend is open source, so others can keep the interface running
Watch out for
- The project has announced it is shutting down and the site goes offline on 26 November 2026
- Its own notice says there is no longer any liquidity on Zilliqa, so swaps are unlikely to be practical
- Several ZRC2-backed tokens (SEED, zUSDT, ZOGE, kUSD) were drained by a Zilliqa node bug and removed from the token list
- Tokens bridged through X-Bridge (zUSDC, zUSDT, zWBTC, XCAD) lost their backing after a hack of about $800k
- Tracked TVL is only about $6.8k and no audits are listed
- No native token, fee schedule or team details are published on the homepage
PlunderSwap V3 fees
Swap fees, liquidity-provider fee tiers and any protocol fee are not stated on the homepage. Anyone still using the exchange would see the fee for a trade in the swap interface before confirming.
On-chain transactions on Zilliqa also cost network gas, paid in ZIL. With liquidity gone and the site closing, the quoted price and slippage matter more than the headline fee.
Is PlunderSwap V3 safe?
No audits are listed for PlunderSwap V3, and the project does not publish team or licensing details on its homepage. The main risks are now operational. Liquidity is gone, the site is closing, and the Zilliqa ecosystem was hit by the ZRC2 node bug and the X-Bridge hack.
Users should withdraw any remaining liquidity before 26 November 2026 and avoid the delisted tokens. Treat any pool holding SEED, zUSDT, ZOGE, kUSD, zUSDC, zWBTC or XCAD as high risk. Always check contract addresses and the official announcements before signing transactions.
6 steps
How to get started with PlunderSwap V3
- 1
Read the shutdown notice on the homepage and note the 26 November 2026 offline date.
- 2
If you hold a liquidity position, connect your wallet and open the Pool section.
- 3
Withdraw your liquidity and confirm the transaction in your wallet before the site closes.
- 4
Do not provide liquidity with SEED, zUSDT, ZOGE, kUSD, zUSDC, zWBTC or XCAD, which the project has delisted.
- 5
Do not bridge assets through X-Bridge.
- 6
If you stake ZIL with the project's validator, check the staking page for how to manage or move your stake.
Who PlunderSwap V3 is for
This page is mainly for people who still hold liquidity positions or staked ZIL through PlunderSwap and need to know what to do before the shutdown. It is also useful for researchers tracking the Zilliqa DeFi ecosystem. New traders have little reason to use it now.
PlunderSwap V3 FAQs
Is PlunderSwap shutting down?
The homepage says PlunderSwap is shutting down. It states there is no longer any liquidity on Zilliqa and that the site will go offline on 26 November 2026. The staking validator will keep running.
What should I do if I have liquidity in PlunderSwap?
Withdraw it before 26 November 2026, using the Pool section of the site while it is still online. The project explicitly asks anyone with a liquidity position to do this.
What happened with the ZRC2 token exploit?
A bug in the Zilliqa node let ZRC2-backed tokens be spent without leaving the sender, and it was used to drain pools holding them. SEED, zUSDT, ZOGE and kUSD were removed from the token list, and users are told not to provide liquidity with them.
What happened to X-Bridge?
Around $800k was stolen from X-Bridge, according to the homepage notice. Tokens bridged through it (zUSDC, zUSDT, zWBTC, XCAD) are no longer backed and were removed from the token list.
Can someone keep running the DEX after the shutdown?
Yes. The project says anyone who wants to keep running the DEX can use its open-source frontend. Whether that is practical depends on Zilliqa liquidity, which the project says is gone.
Does PlunderSwap have its own token?
DefiLlama lists no token for PlunderSwap V3, and the homepage does not name one.
