ActiveAvely Staking Review 2026: stZIL Liquid Staking on Zilliqa
Avely Staking is a liquid staking protocol on Zilliqa that issues stZIL for staked ZIL and advertises a 0% fee. It is a small protocol, so liquidity and long-term support are the main questions.

Our verdict on Avely Staking
6.3/10Avely Staking suits Zilliqa holders who want staking rewards while keeping a tradable stZIL token, and who are comfortable with a small protocol. Its main strength is the simple flow with a stated 0% protocol fee and auto-compounding rewards. The main caveat is scale: TVL is only around $26,000, so stZIL liquidity may be thin, the 14-day unbonding applies, and team and audit details are not clearly published. Read the docs and audit reports first.

What is Avely Staking?
Avely Staking is the staking app of Avely Finance, a liquid staking protocol built on Zilliqa. Users stake ZIL and get stZIL, a ZRC-2 token that represents the staked position and keeps accruing rewards.
The interface has tabs for staking, withdrawal, conversion, a pool and history, and links to aSwap, the project's AMM for the stZIL/ZIL pair. The protocol lists a 0% fee and a 10 ZIL minimum.
It has been tracked since May 2023 and has a small TVL of roughly $26,000, down about 8.6% over seven days. It has no governance token. Neither the team nor the audit details are named in the visible homepage, although two audits are listed on a tracking site.
How Avely Staking works
You deposit ZIL into the Avely smart contract. The contract stakes it on Zilliqa and mints stZIL to your wallet, so you keep a liquid claim on the staked position.
Staking rewards are re-staked automatically. Because of this, each stZIL becomes redeemable for more ZIL over time. Avely calls the redemption rate its honest price, and says it does not depend on exchange prices.
To leave, you can withdraw through the protocol, which follows the standard Zilliqa unbonding period of roughly 14 days. You can also sell stZIL for ZIL on an AMM such as aSwap for faster access, though the price then depends on pool liquidity.
6 features
Key features
01
Liquid staking for ZIL
Deposit ZIL and receive stZIL at an exchange rate that reflects accrued rewards. The project calls this its honest price.
02
Auto-compounding rewards
Rewards are automatically re-staked, so the value of stZIL against ZIL rises over time instead of paying out separately.
03
0% protocol fee
The protocol states a 0% fee on ZIL rewards and the interface shows a 0% protocol fee.
04
aSwap AMM
aSwap is an AMM with a stZIL/ZIL pair, letting users trade the two tokens or provide liquidity to earn trading fees.
05
Transferable stZIL
stZIL is a ZRC-2 token that can be sent to Zilliqa wallets and used in other DeFi protocols.
06
Convert and withdraw tools
Users can convert staked ZIL into stZIL instantly, and the interface has separate tabs for staking, withdrawal, conversion, pool and history.
Pros and cons
What we like
- Liquid staking keeps ZIL usable through stZIL instead of locking it
- Stated 0% protocol fee on rewards
- Rewards auto-compound through the stZIL exchange rate
- aSwap provides a native stZIL/ZIL pool for trading and liquidity
- Funds are held by a smart contract rather than by a staking provider, according to the project
- Two audits are listed on a protocol tracker
Watch out for
- Very small TVL of about $26,000, which suggests limited adoption and thin liquidity for stZIL
- Single-chain exposure: it only serves Zilliqa, so returns depend on one network
- Smart-contract risk applies, and the homepage does not name the auditors or link the reports in the visible text
- The homepage footer shows a 2022 copyright and the team is not named, so ongoing development is hard to judge
- Withdrawals take about 14 days (30,800 blocks) unless you swap stZIL on a DEX
- The 10 ZIL minimum and the 0% fee claim are the project's own statements and are not independently verified here
Avely Staking fees
The staking page and FAQ state a 0% protocol fee on ZIL rewards. The project argues that auto-compounding makes up for any cost.
Other costs still apply. You pay Zilliqa network transaction fees, and swapping stZIL for ZIL on aSwap or another AMM carries pool trading fees and price impact. These are shown in the swap interface at the time of the trade.
Is Avely Staking safe?
Avely says user funds sit in a smart contract that nobody else can access, and that withdrawals follow the same rules as regular ZIL staking withdrawals. This avoids a custodial counterparty but leaves smart-contract and validator-selection risk. A tracking site lists two audits; its homepage does not name the auditors or findings, so check the documentation before depositing.
The protocol is small, with roughly $26,000 TVL, which can mean thin stZIL liquidity and larger price impact when selling. The site footer shows a 2022 copyright, and the team and any licence are not published in the visible text. Only stake what you can afford to lose.
6 steps
How to get started with Avely Staking
- 1
Install a Zilliqa-compatible wallet and fund it with ZIL, keeping extra for transaction fees.
- 2
Open the Avely staking app and connect your wallet.
- 3
Enter an amount of at least 10 ZIL on the Stake tab and confirm the transaction.
- 4
Receive stZIL in your wallet and check the exchange rate shown in the app.
- 5
Optionally provide stZIL/ZIL liquidity on aSwap or hold stZIL for use in other Zilliqa DeFi apps.
- 6
To exit, use the Withdraw tab and wait about 14 days, or swap stZIL for ZIL on a DEX.
Who Avely Staking is for
Avely Staking is for ZIL holders who want to earn staking rewards without locking their tokens, and who are willing to use a smaller, single-chain protocol. It also suits users who want stZIL to provide liquidity on aSwap or to use in other Zilliqa DeFi apps. It is less suited to anyone who needs deep liquidity or a protocol with a large, well-documented team.
Avely Staking FAQs
What is Avely Staking?
Avely Staking is a liquid staking protocol on the Zilliqa blockchain. You deposit ZIL and receive stZIL, a token that represents your staked ZIL and can be used elsewhere in DeFi.
Does Avely charge fees?
The protocol states that it charges a 0% fee on ZIL rewards, and the staking page shows a 0% protocol fee. You still pay normal network transaction fees, and trading on a DEX has its own swap fees.
What is the minimum stake?
The staking page lists a minimum of 10 ZIL. Smaller amounts cannot be staked through the interface.
How long does withdrawal take?
Withdrawals follow the normal ZIL unbonding rules, which the interface describes as about 30,800 blocks, roughly 14 days. For faster exit you can trade stZIL for ZIL on a pool such as the project's own aSwap, depending on available liquidity.
How do I get stZIL?
Stake ZIL, swap on a DEX, or receive stZIL from another user. stZIL is a ZRC-2 token, so it can be sent to any Zilliqa wallet.
Is Avely safe?
The project says funds are controlled by a smart contract and that staking providers have no direct access. That reduces custody risk but does not remove smart-contract risk. Two audits are listed on a tracking site, though its homepage does not detail them.
